The Reunion

So I really want to jump through the TV right now watching Reunion Part 3 because while I feel bad for Janet for what happened to her at 12, I still cannot understand how Danny touching another woman’s ass got her to this point? I’ve also had something happen to me as a child so I know the feeling.

S3 E21 - Reunion Part 3 - Episode Discussion

While Kristen and Luke reminisce over their Hawaiian engagement, the argument between the Bookos and the Capernas threatens to derail happier memories. Jesse gets called to task by Andy. Zack, in an effort to make peace within the friend group, extends an olive branch to Janet

What project was Danny working on when he missed WWHL?

I'm curious if that little pantry pervert was lying about having a last minute job. Also after Andy fires his ass tonight do you think he'll have a hard time finding work? I know bad people are hired everyday in Hollywood but not necessarily untalented bad people that blame their children for their mistakes.

Kristen and Luke

As most of us have discussed in regards to Kristen and Luke’s relationship it doesn’t seem to be one that will be able to stand the test of time.

This clip I think really sums up their relationship in a nutshell, Kristen very much wanted to be a mom more than I think she wanted a relationship or marriage. Even jax (who lies but definitely knows how to read a situation) clocked how quickly Kristen was willing to have a baby with Luke as soon as she broke up with Alex and began dating Luke.

I think this decision to place motherhood and becoming a mom before finding a stable relationship and connection will be what leads this relationship to fall short. We all know Luke’s behaviour this season was overall BAD for wanting to potentially end his engagement with Kristen over her postpartum struggles to then wanting Kristen to quickly get pregnant with baby number two so “postpartum Kristen” can be “buried in a grave”.

Kristen dismissing this behaviour and choosing to stay with Luke and not give real consequences to his actions apart from empty threats of leaving the relationship is quintessential Kristen. From VPR with James and Carter she is more comfortable to stay in a toxic relationship than leave and find someone better, which is how we’ve ended up with the same man in a different font as carter.

Watching VPR there are frustrating moments with Kirsten but you end up acknowledging that it’s part of her Mariposa charm, however now on the Valley at the age of 43 and a mom at some point she needs to start standing up for herself and advocating for a better relationship with Luke rather than being a personal bodyguard for Nia and Danny.

Is there anything Danny can do in part 3 to walk away with a little dignity intact?

Danny showed his true colors this season and is one of the most reviled men on television. You'd think he'd try to sway public opinion at the reunion. But he thought blaming his children for his issues while wearing size 2 womens pumps was the way to go. He did apologize to Janet, but what kind of adult cyber bullies their cast mates? So not sure he deserves credit for that. He also said he was taking a serious look at his drinking. Well so are we, you fucking dipshit. Is there anything he could possibly do at this point to maybe make a handful of people think "he's not the worst person in the world" or is it too late for Little Danny?

I am rewatching and on season 1 episode 3 and WHY was it ok for Luke to say Jessi “assaulted “ Kristen by touching boob! But jasmine and others being grabbed that word isn’t ok?

I wish someone would try to "take me down" by paying $150k of my debt. (I don't have any though)

Did he get that quote from The Art Of War or something? 🤣 I LOL'd reading this like Lala did when he said "You'll have to go through me"

What a weird way to think and speak about your child's mother though.

What makes you keep watching?

Hi all! I know the show has been mostly irritating and disappointing, but I still can’t stop watching 😂

As a 30+ viewer and an original VPR watcher, I’m curious: what keeps you tuning in? Is there a storyline or cast member you’re actually enjoying?

For me, it’s basically Zack and I have a soft spot for Kristen. I find Zack funny, and I love his friendship with Kristen. I’m also really interested in Kristen’s redemption arc after VPR.

Other than that, I do enjoy watching Michelle and Jesse air their dirty laundry in public.

I could probably be entertained by watching Brittany dating especially if she keeps finding these weird toxic dudes.

So… what’s keeping everyone else watching?

Do you think Danny is terrorizing Nia?

We learned a lot about Little Danny this season but the one thing that stands out is nothing is ever his fault. Whether it be alcohol, his kids or Nia elevating him he always has an excuse for atrocious behavior. Now that he is widely considered to be the worst husband on Bravo and a shoo-in for the Rusty Armstrong award this year do you think he's blaming Nia? Claiming she didn't defend him enough or she shouldn't have elevated him. There's no way he could possibly believe this is his fault but with the cameras not around he must know that Nia could beat the brakes off him if she ever felt like it or drown him during bath time. It's bad enough that Nia has to take care of 5 children I can only imagine how hard he's making her life right now.

Brittany, we know!

I understand why Brittany feels the need to defend herself. She loves her kid and he went there.

To watch Cruz with his communication device trick-or-treating on the valley was heart warming. The only credit Jax gets for that is the fact that there’s been some distance between him and Cruz. The further away the better.

I’m not a Brittany “fan” so to speak. She gets on my nerves and there’s so much she does that I don’t agree with. But I have to draw the line with this scumbag rant about her lack of care to Cruz.

Jax doesn’t care if the attention is good or bad, he feeds off this shit. They say don’t feed the animals at the zoo, well…he’s been fed. First his planned media stunt with Lori, & now he will stop at nothing to feed his narcissistic, egotistical attention cravings.

Brittany, no one would be mad if you completely ignored him from here on out. I think it’s best, though I can understand it will be difficult, as I know the buffoon speaks recklessly and foolishly about you and your child. We know what and who he is. Forget about any moron who believes him, as they are just as foolish as he is.

You responded to the post about Cruz, you responded about Lori, I think it’s time to go silent on these MF’s now. Your silence is the most golden remedy. Your silence is your power with someone like Jax. Cry to your friends, cry to your therapist, but don’t let the bastard drag you down…to his level.

6 weeks rule postpartum

That whole small part of Luke and Danny laughing at the 6 week rule to sex is a bit funny to me coming from a very loving young marriage. My husband and I tried hard not to do anything during that 6 week mark, but we genuinely could keep our hands off each other. I understand why fans would roll their eyes at them, which is what I remember from seeing Janet sigh and look at Jason like “can you believe them???” I get that they hate Danny and people hate both Luke and Daniel, but there are husbands out there that genuinely still want to pounce on their wives as much as the wife wants it 😭😭😭 it’s icky coming from them, but let’s not shame every couple that does things during those 6+ weeks after postpartum, or DURING, sometimes the love and intimacy is still there for other couples, hate those two without putting down the happy marriages

I think I’ve finally figured out Nia

As someone that grew up in chaos and in multiple homes and divorced parents with custody and mental health issues, I’ve really struggled to understand Nia and her perspective with the group and Danny until a rewatch of the finale and then it clicked. Nia says very clearly she’s desperate for normalcy and stability, but it’s in SPITE of Danny. She’s desperate for those things but chose a chaotic, selfish man and in her determination for peace she’s chosen to actively aggressively manage him and force him into her manufactured world view. Anyone that calls him out are actively working against her perceived perfect reality and it’s less work for her to fight everyone else then face the reality that Danny is a bad guy and the cause of her unhappiness. She’s not ready to see the truth.

Cruz found his sparkle ✨️

Anyone can see the kid is positively glowing this season. Went from a locked in scared little boy, to this happy little boy who shines now. I wonder what the difference could be? Jax you don't have the power to control or decide anything about your son's upbringing right now. You gave that up when you put hands on your wife. I would have slapped your ass with a restraining order and supervised visits only. Get help, get a job and leave her alone.
