Miss triggered (aka me)

DAE get mad triggered by Danny? He gives me dangerous man vibes even with his “lesser” bad behavior in past seasons. The mocking of triggered and uncomfortable is just another huge alarm bell in my mind and it makes it really hard to watch ETA bc I’m not fucking done: the ptsd thing?????? He thinks it’s funny to be triggered but he also has ptsd …. So he’s misogynistic and illiterate

Next season predictions

Given the huge shift in audience support for Janet, Danny, Nia etc. what do you think production will do with the cast?

I don’t think it’s tenable to keep the exact same mix unless everyone is willing to take accountability where relevant and at least attempt to build relationship.

We want to see conflict but not at the expense of people refusing to film. Also, I’m dying for some new storylines at this point!

I really want to like Kristen, she seems to be a favorite, maybe someone can help me out!

I can’t for the life of me understand why Kristen irritates me. I only watched the later seasons of VPR so I don’t really know her as a character on the show that well, other than she was pretty cringe, messy and drunk most of the time. But I didn’t really get a read on her as a person.

When I watch her on The Valley, it feels no better. She does seem kinda kooky and woo woo, which is fine. But she is incredibly passive with some things and gets really worked over other things that don’t really make sense (before she had her baby she seemed to have crazy highs and lows). She very often seems rude, abrasive and hypocritical—especially with this whole drinking thing. Her boyfriend asked her to take it easy on the booze because they were struggling to get pregnant and she basically rolled her eyes at him. Conversations with her always seem unproductive because her brain seems so disorganized and all over the place, I would lose my mind. IMO, Brittany is more likeable and pulled together, which says a lot. She just seems to embody sloppy mess of a person. What is she involved in outside of the show?

Yet, she is such a strong, well liked character on the show. I feel like I’m missing a big part of why she is being regarded as this great person everyone loves…I just don’t see it. Can someone maybe enlighten me because I want to like her like everyone else does!

“Uncomfortable”

DANNY STOP. Stop playing victim when Michelle is dancing. Nia, please for the love of God, stop denying that your husband touched (or touches?) women in truly UNCOMFORTABLE ways. Nia, you cannot compare a man giving a lap dance to another to your husband’s acts that are NOT consensual. Nia tried to say something in the episode about two male cast members involved in a lap dance as “inappropriate” trying to equate it with Danny’s stuff. To Nia & Danny: please stop denying that YOU are the sources of discomfort. Danny, I don’t love the SA term, but what you did to Jasmine (and I assumed that’s just the tip of the iceberg) is technically SA. Fess up. Own it. Leave the show and disappear into the mess you two are but won’t show us.

The future of The Valley…

This is just my own opinion, but after watching this week’s episode and the preview for next, I got a bad feeling about what’s coming..It appears to me that Janet is going to drop a bomb on camera about how she was SA in the past and that’s why she was crashing out/crying in Mexico, and why she went so hard at Danny. Could it be a “Hail Mary” from her to get the cast to back off/drop the issue? As a survivor myself I don’t think anyone should feel forced to talk about their own trauma. If that’s what’s going to happen, it makes me think of the situation with Brynn on RHONY and how that blew up the cast, and how dark that season ended. I think Danny’s only saving grace after what he did to Jasmine was that it wasn’t on camera. Any other work environment and he would have been fired. But once Janet talks about her own past on camera, the producers won’t be able to ignore it anymore, it’s going to blow up the group and that could potentially lead to the end of the show. I’m ready to be done with Danny and Nia, they’re so uncomfortable to watch and I feel like things are going to get a lot darker.

Janet CANNOT use the SA term. Read the actual CA law that would apply to Melissa and Jasmine’s case if they brought a case and stop the speculation!!! If you are not a real lawyer or CA lawyer, stop the slander and libel!

Read the title. I truly hope all of this sub’s keyboard warriors hands are clean and they aren’t living in glass houses. You will get every karmic point you type and deserve.

Are they all rolling?

I think they went from skiing to straight up rolling this time. Look at the pupils and all of their mouth movements. Even Lacy is acting weird and moving her mouth around.

Anyone else notice this?

Okay, I’ll say it. Michelle telling Jesse to stop being affectionate with Lacy because she doesn’t want to see it, is WILD to me.

She spent last season throwing Aaron in Jesse’s face. You can’t have it both ways lady.

Have I figured out Kristen?

I think Kristen might realise that she is so distracted by postpartum, and preoccupied with baby, and simultaneously feels pressure to work and perform and bring drama, that her defence of D&N comes from a place of stress? She’s not aware of the full picture of how D&N are acting (especially if she doesn’t actually hang out with them so much as others are starting to imply) because she’s emotionally preoccupied elsewhere. So she’s kind of on reality tv autopilot to bring drama and escalate, but isn’t aware of how it’s coming across and that others have valid concerns re the Bookos. She is probably also genuinely grateful to Nia for support during pregnancy, that it blinds her (not blaming her - not many people know what it’s like to be pregnant on camera, and it’s lucky for her they were pregnant at the same time). I think she might be defending Danny as a kneejerk because Nia is upset.

What do you guys think?

Classic Narcissist Danny At The Club

This man is so thick, and his use of the narcissists' playbook is so obvious. His friends have made clear that what makes them uncomfortable is A) the verbal abuse of his wife, and B) the unwanted and admitted groping of his female friends.

Just like at the rental house where he runs around shouting "triggered," him running around the club shouting "uncomfortable" to try to invalidate these real concerns is just cringe. He's the most childish, unwatchable human.

Nia Please Stop Covering for Danny AND Jason For Janet

Girl, please stop. Just let the man and Janet have their battle royale. I am an equal opportunist. Jason, also please stop covering for Janet. We are a society based on equal rights at this point. Let them be. I notice how much this sub has double standards it drives me nuts. Let them both be. WE (The Audience) CAN CHOOSE who we like at the end. I also hate how much Janet and Danny pile on their friends, PR, (Im talking to you Crock o Shit pink boots) to try and sway us. Let the fans make their own opinions! Janet is getting redeemed in my opinion but she does so much overtime it’s just annoYing! Ok. END rant.
