I’m so sad about us not getting season 5. I just finished season 4 and I’m rewatching again. I don’t usually catch a vibe with Hallmark shows or movies but this is my go to comfort show. Ugh. Still holding onto a thread of hope for the last season. It’s just that much worse when you know the writers had another season planned and they were cut short with only one to go.

Why does the pond even exist? Does it have consciousness since it makes decisions about where they should go? Why is attached to this family?
I just finished the show and something I kept thinking the whole way through was how great the casting was for the actors and actresses who had to portray people from other eras. I felt like Colton was pretty spot on. Maybe it’s just me but having watched enough time travel shows and movies it seems like it’s hard to get things that close. I’m sure costume/hair/makeup plays a big role but just wanted to see if other people felt the same way. Obviously sobbed through the last episode. Can’t wait to rewatch it knowing everything now!

I just finished the finale episode. This last season made me teary eyed but that last scene with the wedding seeing all the ancestors made me think of my own family and I 😭😭😭😭.
We can only hope that our loved ones who have passed are still with us in our normal daily lives AND especially on special days like weddings. 😭😭😭😭
This sub needs a “No Spoilers” flair lol so NO SPOILERS here please, because I am just now watching ep 7 of the final season. But I feel like they’re really rushing this episode. Everything is happening so freaking fast. I’m keeping up, but it still seems so fast. Everything is happening in an instant. Such a great show though. I hope rushing it doesn’t have severe consequences like Game of Thrones did. But I’m sure I’ll find out before it’s over.
In Episode9, we see Cliff sitting at the landry home writing a letter to Fern. He was happy with her and he wasn't going to the NYE party. Then Kat comes in and says something about "Will you be there? You usually are" and it worried Cliff, which made him go to the party, taking him to get Elliot arrested. All of them head into the tunnels.
I was just thinking this morning, Kay must have gotten alot of money from Brady in that divorce. I believe she was a writer too but considering The Herald doesn’t pay much and she’s gone into the pond all the time I was wondering where she gets the funds for the new clothes and haircut etc.
Makes sense that they made Brady rich and from a rich family.
Started watching the show last week. I thought S1 and 2 were excellent. But S3 has felt very different and not as enjoyable, on the last episode of s3 while writing this. Not sure if it's the pacing, or the time travelling across several time periods, as opposed to just 1999. certain episodes have felt like filler too. On certain occasions it can be a little hard to follow
Not sure if I'm alone in this. I've not read anything in this sub before posting this, preparing for alot of downvotes.
Just wrapping this series up, and even though it was their last season it felt like they were still dropping clues for future seasons like they had in previous seasons (For instance, all the stuff about >!Colton time traveling!< was planted in season one, but told in season 3.) Makes me think they were hoping for another season. So I have theories about where they were going:
Nick telling Alice she would meet Claire someday: This is similar to what she said to teenage Nick when she knew she had already met him as an adult. I DO NOT think this means Alice is Claire. That makes no sense. I DO think Future Alice has met Claire and Nick knows that, but he also knows that he shouldn’t tell present Alice about her future time travel shenanigans. My theory is it was future Alice who convinced Claire to call Nick and work things out in season 2 (how did Alice know where she was? Because Nick wrote down the address in Elliot’s time travel notebook.) Nick is hesitant to introduce them because he knows Alice has to meet Claire in the past first before reintroducing them in the present, because Claire already knows Alice, but Alice doesn’t know Claire yet.
25, first arrived. 25, never tried. 65, thought they died, 65, still alive -This never got fully explained, so I think it might actually be about Colton’s dad. Kat was very curious why Fern knew all about the pond, including that a young boy in the family was going to fall in and go back in time, but Colton and his brother didn’t. I think a season 5 would have taken us to the 50’s/60’s. Edit: I know they think it’s about Tessa, but it seems off to me still. Like something is missing.
Casey/KC- We know the summer of 24’ Casey “ran away” from home by running away to the past. We know something is going on in their future lives that is distressing them. There are LOTS of possibilities here, but I’m going with climate change has made farming unsustainable, so for the first time in over two hundred years, the Landry’s need to leave Port Haven (this theory brought to you by two summers of hazardous air caused by Canadian wildfire smoke.)

Whyyyyyyy didn’t the music director combine Alice and Colton’s songs at the end? I feel like the songs were MADE to fit together in a melody/countermelody way and it would have fit the themes of the show perfectly. I kept waiting for it and it never happened!
