I just finished the finale episode. This last season made me teary eyed but that last scene with the wedding seeing all the ancestors made me think of my own family and I 😭😭😭😭.

We can only hope that our loved ones who have passed are still with us in our normal daily lives AND especially on special days like weddings. 😭😭😭😭

I was just thinking this morning, Kay must have gotten alot of money from Brady in that divorce. I believe she was a writer too but considering The Herald doesn’t pay much and she’s gone into the pond all the time I was wondering where she gets the funds for the new clothes and haircut etc.

Makes sense that they made Brady rich and from a rich family.

Hi everyone. Is it possible to get an uber at Ridge Hill? I know I can get one to the mall or at least I think so but how do I get back and where would I wait for the uber?

I think I can also take the Metro North to Tuckahoe and then maybe an uber from there? But then I’m still worried if I can get an uber back to the Tuckahoe station?

I don’t live near the subway. I live close to the metro north.

Do you find white women staring at you sometimes when you travel? I don’t know if I look ugly or poor or what but they stare at me quite a bit and not in a nice way. I’m overweight so that could also be why too. I guess to them I am not attractive.

Also, do you ever feel like your dark brown skin is why you’re NOT being targeted to be stolen from when traveling? I often think because people look down on us more often than not because of our skin color, in some circumstances it keeps us a bit safer and much less a target.

Hey everyone, how can we help any relatives in NYC affected and do we know IF they need anything? If so, what do they need?

I saw on the news that there is a Nepal community here some of whom have been affected.

Any groups putting together stuff to ship over there like clothes, food etc? People have not just lost relatives but homes and everything they own.

Every week I admire the dedication of all the people who are building these much needed platforms, stairs and roofs at different stations and it is absolutely incredible.

If any of you even see this I want to say thank you so much for what you are doing. I work in an office all day and I do not know if I could do what you all do everyday. Your work is priceless. It really is. God bless you all and your families.

For anyone who was on metformin and lowered their A1C enough to get off it:

Did you ever feel scared that because you were on the medication if you start eating healthy amounts of carbs and sugar that your blood sugar would get too low?

Any advice? My A1C has been around 5.8 for the longest time. In 2020 I got it down to 5.4 by losing weight. Haven’t lost as much since then. Gained it back and working on losing it again. Last year I enjoyed eating things I don’t usually eat and it went up to 6.0. Doc checked it two more times and one time it went back down to 5.8 then back up to 6.0. Now I’m working on it again. She wants me to take 2 metformin tablets but I just want to stop with all the medication for everything.

But now I’m dependent on metformin it feels like or developing a dependency. How do I get off this road?

Can taking it and eating healthier cause bad effects?

On my way home from Madison Square Garden. There were 2 empty seats right next to me and one across the aisle in the same row. So THREE empty seats. Hope whoever had those seats are ok but so sad that someone who really wanted to be there couldn’t even though those seats remained empty all night.

Try to get there earlier than I did. I got there just before Olivia came on but I was tired and thirsty from rushing. I think I would have enjoyed the first few minutes more if I had arrived earlier.

Olivia Dean and her band are fantastic and genuinely talented. Voice, music, personality, energy. All of it felt fresh and pure. Her voice is truly beautiful and perhaps even better in real. The music sounded better in person too.

Olivia started at 9pm and ended around 10:50pm. It took about 5 mins to get to the subway walking really fast.

What time did it start and what time did it end? I have a long commute so this would be so helpful.

I’m trying to learn how to swim. The noodle keeps me floating I think. I still can’t float without it not have I learned how to lie horizontally to float. I missed a few classes where they covered that. Taking beginner class.

I can kick and “swim” across the pool using floats. It is a workout.

I’m worried I will never be able to let go of the floats. Any advice as to my next steps? I am working with some young instructors and I want to make sure they are taking me thru the right steps.

Outside of Athens, you took such good care of me too. You made sure I had everything I needed and when I didn’t you helped me find it. I felt safe and comfortable.

Anyone want my Alex Warren concert MSG ticket for Wed 15th? I just lowered the concert ticket price. The concert is at MSG on Wednesday 15th July. It’s in section 103. Find it on Ticketmaster.

I just don’t want to go anymore and trying to get rid of this ticket! It’s a loss of money for me - next time I won’t rush to buy a concert ticket.

How was a solo trip to Munich/Salzburg? I’m curious about Germany especially. I want to do a “quick” trip to Munich and perhaps take the train to Salzburg. How is it getting around when you only speak English? I’m planning on end of 2027 possibly for the trip so I have time to learn some German.

I was a fan of this place until a couple years ago when I ordered delivery and got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. Since then I have not been back and definitely have not ordered from them again. Wondering if I should try again. If you’ve ordered food for delivery or in person from The Taco Project in the last year, how has your experience been?

I’m thinking of going to Queens for the 4th July and taking the LIRR from Kew Gardens back to Manhattan sometime after 9pm. Will it be safe?

Update: it was not crowded and I didn’t see any diners from the bar next to it. All the businesses seemed closed. It was kind of desolate but there were people walking down the street. By the time the train came there were about 7 people on the platforms.
