Ettenheim <> Europa Park
I have an apartment booked in Ettenheim in November to visit Europa Park. Anyone know if it’s easy to arrive from there, with public transport?

Just like dream world Most recommended if visiting Vietnam with your children
I visited Energylandia for the first time a couple weeks ago on the 4th&5th August. The park has some really great coasters and theming and I had such a great time but… the accessibility was awful.
I’m from the UK and use the Ride Access Pass system every time I visit a UK theme park. This was my first time visiting a park that doesn’t use a similar system for accessibility and it was rough.
For a little context- I have a physical disability so queues are super tricky for me. I cannot stand for longer than 10 minutes at a time.
At first when planning this trip I was pleasantly surprised that the park offers discounted tickets for people with disabilities. But upon actually being in the park we found that i was expected to queue as normal. This was frustrating because if I could queue as normal, I would, but my disability means that I can’t. After speaking to those at the information desk I was told that if I cannot queue and still want to experience the coasters, I would have to purchase an energy pass (This is their version of a fast pass) which was an additional charge of £100 on each day that I would attend the park. ( so £200 extra total)
I was put in a tricky position as this was my only option to be able to experience the park in the same way that an able bodied person would. The cost of the energy pass ended up costing more than our two-day tickets to the park. Which made the discounted disability ticket pointless. I ended up paying more than the average person to attend and experience the park in the same ways that others could. And personally felt that this was unfair. Why should I have to pay more than the average person just because I’m disabled? Feels completely counter productive to what they’re advertising as a discounted ticket, and I’m sure others in my position have probably felt the same.
It was really disappointing that they just didn’t have a real accessibility system and clearly don’t have much interest in making the park fully accessible for guests with disabilities.
I wanted to post this just to make other people aware who may be travelling from different countries, who are used to using certain accessibility systems. So that others aren’t caught off guard when they’re expected to pay out of pocket to support their needs.
I'm sure a lot of you may be more versed on this than I am, but I'm really curious. I love Intamin. It's one of my favorite roller coaster manufacturers (Favorite rides: Velocicoaster, Hyperion, Kondaa). Whenever I hear Intamin referenced in conversations pertaining to Legacy Cedar Fair, Six Flags or even the Busch Garden parks, I quite frequently hear people say Intamin isn't reliable. If that is truly the case, why is it almost the go to for one or the leaders of the industry, Universal for their coasters, and many European parks (probably proximity)?
So I've heard a considerable amount of conversation regarding this new Maleficent coaster in the new villain's land in various Disney and non Disney related forums, some coaster forms. The general consensus is that people are starting to think from the presenters language, that this coaster will be Disney's Velocicoaster so to speak, as far as thrill level. Personally, I doubt that. Looking at the proof of concept, the rock work and the ride vehicles reminded me quite a bit of Taron at Phantasialand in Germany, a park and a coaster I love. I feel like that coaster could be Disney's sweet spot for max thrill without being too much; It has punchy launches, airtime, and some lateral forces with no inversions and fantastic sense of speed. A solid step above cosmic rewind and Hagrids. What do you all think? Do you think Disney is going to go for it with this coaster and do a ride with that magical thrill ride height requirement of 52 inches? Me...it's a solid no.
A lot of changes in the works. I think unlike Iger and Chapek, D'Amaro actually has his finger to the pulse of what guests have been thinking and saying. Disco Yeti finally being fixed after nearly three decades? Dreamfinder reuniting with Figment???
A dark coaster announcement would have been cool. Hopes too high i guess
I don’t think X2 Xcelerator or shockwave at over Texas are gonna ever open up again
But that’s just my opinion tell me yours if you know more than me about it or go to any of these parks I would love to hear what you think
Hii, looking to get away for a day or two, and i’ve been looking at theme parks around the uk. I’ve read that Alton Towers and Flamingo Land are my best options, but i just want to know which actually is better.
I have read that sometimes the rollercoasters at both can sometimes be shut down, which is a downside, but other than that, which is better?
In addition, the best times and days to go would be helpful, thanks so much ☺️
This was being discussed in another forum that I frequent not on Reddit. I tend to agree with this but I still would like to hear your own thoughts. I know there are layers of subjectivity when it comes to these types of discussions but it's all in good fun! To preface this I'm a coaster enthusiast thru and thru but I love Disney and Universal equally amongst my other parks domestically and abroad.
My boyfriend (26) always feels sick when we go to theme parks. We went to thorpe park (UK) and the first time he felt super sick but didn't throw up. The second time we went he felt sick and threw up after Mr Monkey's Banana ride (literally the smallest ride in the park). He does all of the big rollercoasters but they often make him feel sick. Does anyone have any tips to help reduce sickness? I want him to be able to enjoy the rides with me rather than have to sit out.
The travelling fair i'm working for has bought the Golden Galloping Horses from Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Crazy we just have them, cost us so much money to buy and more to renovate.
I've just been to Efteling in the Netherlands and had a great day. It had a very chilled vibe and the Danse Macabre ride was superb and definitely different to any other ride I've been on. I actually went here 25 years ago and Gardaland several times too, but don't actually remember anything about them!
What would your top 3 be and do you think the Universal Studios park in the UK will get on your list when it opens?
My top 3 (from admittedly limited experience):
Disneyland Paris
Efteling
Alton Towers
Whichever ride you prefer, I will write a Zootopia-centered fanfic on one of them. Leave your questions in the comments for what it will be and I will answer. Sorry I can’t make it a poll, but I will be fine with whatever answer you make first.
¡Hola!
Resumen: no me decido. ¿Opiniones sobre esto? ¡Gracias!
Hi all,
I was wondering if it is possible to film onrides in MPG with a GoPro and a chest mount?
Couldn't find any information on the site and they haven't responded to me via mail yet.
I went to Walibi Belgium a couple days ago and they allowed it there, but I'm unsure about MPG.
Thanks!
