The auto shutdown connector in my wireview pro 2 wired broke and came out. Please help!

Hi Thermal Grizzly Team,

I bought a wireview pro 2 wired version on September 21 for use with my 5090fe. I installed it yesterday and when inserting the auto shutoff cable the connector socket broke and came out with the cable. The installation was done gently without any manhandling. Feeling very disappointed right now.

I am a doctor by profession and I use my 5090 to finetune local ai models and it runs for long hours and many a times overnight unsupervised. My whole intention in purchasing the WireView Pro 2 wired was for the emergency auto shut down feature for peace of mind and safety.

I am from India and I don't know what to do now. Please help me u/der8auer.

WireView II Pro mount for vertical GPU waterblock

I designed a custom mount for the Thermal Grizzly WireView Pro II (non-Wired version) because I wanted a white setup, the freedom to use my own cables, and more flexibility in where I could position the device compared to the Wired version.

Following Thermal Grizzly's advice, I connected the WireView Pro II to the GPU using a MODDIY bridgeless extension cable. This way, the GPU's actual voltages are still measured.

The mount was designed for the Alphacool Core waterblock for the MSI RTX 5090 Suprim X / Vanguard, but it can be adapted to other waterblocks. It could also be modified to accommodate the Wired version of the WireView Pro II.

The GPU power cable I'm using is a custom CableMod cable I had made a few years ago, which I've reused across several builds.

I've shared the 3D-printing files (STL + STEP) on GitHub, along with some instructions for adapting the design.

WireView Pro II Noctua edition: thanks TG for listening to feedback!

Had an original WireView Pro II that had a broken fan and got refunded by TG. Was very unhappy with the quality of the fans before, finally now the Noctua edition addresses all my complaints. Very excited about this product!

WireView pro 2

Hello everyone i just got the pro2 and did some benchmark on heaven and wondering if everything is good on a 5090.

And i can not close my glas side panel on my case its in the way, is there a case where it's big enough for my gpu its a msi 5090 vanguard and wireview

WireView Pro II without the auto-shutdown wired - am I actually protected?

Picked up a WireView Pro II for my 5090 (HP OMEN Max 45L prebuilt, OEM card so no per-pin monitoring built in like the Astral has).

Installed and working fine, but I haven't wired the shutdown splitter to the motherboard power switch header. So right now I believe I get the visual warning and the audible alarm, but no automatic cutoff. My readings under full load look healthy (check my post history on this sub).

So I just wanted to ask - is the alarm alone actually enough, or is the auto-shutdown a necessity? My thinking is that if the imbalance is going to develop, it develops gradually and I'd catch it but I'd like to hear from people who've had one actually trigger.

Mostly trying to figure out if I'm being paranoid or appropriately cautious. Thanks!
