How long did it take for your Wireview Pro wired edition to arrive after shipment?

Located in the US. Got an email from TG 10 days ago stating my Wireview Pro 2 wired was shipped, but no tracking information was provided, and my FedEx account does not show any incoming shipments. What’s the shipping experience been like for everyone else who have received theirs?

I received a faulty wirepro 2 RMA unit

long story short i had a post on here called "my fan sounds like a dying duck" can check my account to see the post, i than got in contact with thermal grizzly support and they sent me money to replace the fan myself.

I went to replace the fan and one of the tiny Philips screws on the back stripped really easily and made the unit inaccessible to open. so thermal grizzly decided to send me a brand new wirepro2 out of good gesture, which I'm super thankfully for!

I received my new unit yesterday and unfortunately it was faulty I installed it in my system and I got current imbalance on pin 5 and 6, I replaced the 12vhpwr cable and still I got the same warning. I than installed the splitter with 4 8pins that came with my 4090 and still pin 5 and 6 was pulling 0 current. I hooked up my old stripped screw broken fan wirepro2 and I have a nice even current distribution. I than hooked up the replacement wirepro 2 in a friends system and pin 5 had 0 current underload.

for some reason there is zero current going through pin 5 and 6 on the new unit, and i mean 0 current its like 0.12 current underload while other pins are at 5.4 to 5.5

i sent an email regarding my frustration and every time they send me something i got to pay duties and taxes here in Canada, i have yet to hear back.

Question about WireView Pro 2

I got my wired version this week and it’s been great. Have had relatively even current balance and it’s nice to have the peace of mind knowing that the connector on the card is safe. My question is, can the connector on the WireView Pro 2 that the PSU cable plugs into still melt even if the current is being displayed as even? I’m assuming it’s only measuring the current leaving it, and isn’t measuring what the connector the PSU cable goes into is doing, unless I’m wrong.

If someone could explain how it works that would be great. I would much rather the connector on the WireView melt than my card obviously, but it’s more curiousity getting the best of me rather than actual paranoia.

Where should I mount WireView Pro 2 Wired?

https://preview.redd.it/xey8pzkl55fh1.jpg?width=1278&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9269c17ebb6c4b94f0f4c8f8ded56024c968ae8

I am very interested in this product, but I am using the Lian Li A3-mATX case. As shown in the picture, I have very little space left.

Is the included bracket magnetic? If so, perhaps I could attach it directly to the side panel of the case. Since it has a mesh side panel, it shouldn't affect heat dissipation.

Wireview 2 pro wired limiting 5090 to 450w

Just got the WireView 2 pro wired today for my Zotac RTX 5090 Arcticstorm AIO that I have had for awhile. When I connect the WireView 2 it starts to show my 5090 as a Zotac RTX 5090 Solid in furmark, it limits the power percentage in afterburner from 104% to 100% and lastly it limits the card to 450w under load. When i switch back to connecting my 5090 directly to the psu everything goes back to the normal, 600w, 104% and RTX 5090 arcticstorm in furmark instead of the solid. Any suggestions on what to do and try?

Edit: tried reseating the 12 pin cables and driver reinstall. Thermal Grizzly now sending a replacement after talking to support and showing that the cable was not working properly.

Yay got my WireView Pro 2 Wired

Just arrived, bought it directly from the ThermalGrizzly store.. Plugged it in, customised the colours via the desktop app (that feature is awesome btw!). I can finally rest a little now knowing there is some per-pin monitoring to rely on. Hopefully my 5090 FE stays safer because of this now =). I was running Furmark as a benchmark to get some load on the card.

Just got my Wireview wired

Short story, this is a SFF case, AsusAP201 , fitting the wireview was hard , luckily the custom adapters that came in the box were super helpful , and managed to screw it on the PSU cage.

I should probably get a larger case , but this one is all mesh.

Also che wired cable is very very sturdy and lock into the gpu really tight, other cables are always a little wobbly.

I won't be able to click the button or always monitor the screen, but knowing it's there and i can check from software is already enough for me.

(Yes the asus panel is removable and it's currently hiding the cables and ssd).

WireView Pro 2 constantly having issues

Basically what the title says. The WireView Pro 2 has been nothing but a headache since i got it. First month, the fan makes horrible grinding and rattling noises, contacted thermal grizzly four times, no response. Said whatever, turned the fan off. Now, it wont detect 2 of the pins, constantly throws off “Load imbalance” warnings on 7 different cables, in which before they reported perfect pin balance. No clue what the issue is, but I am on the verge of just throwing this thing out.

Service center replaced my liquid metal with regular paste. Switched to Kryonaut and dropped temps by 10–12°C.

My laptop had been overheating for a long time. After getting it back from the service center, I decided to replace the thermal paste because Dell's stock paste isn't the best. My laptop originally used liquid metal, but the service center replaced it with regular thermal paste, which had already become dry and crusty. Instead of going back to liquid metal due to the risks, I used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut. The result was a 10–12°C drop in temperatures, and it's running great now.

Best way to shut off PC if wireview pro 2 alerts GPU issue

Basically title. I have a wireview pro 2 connected to an ASUS TUF 5090 OC and have usb connection to motherboard but did not connect the power button to the wireview because my case (Antec Flux pro) has a single cable for front power, case fans, etc.. What is the best way to shut off my PC in the event I ever hear the error signal go off? To flip switch on PSU or hold down case button? Thanks for your help!

Wire view pro 2 “wired”

Probably spent way too much time than I needed, trying every possible orientation. Settled for this, looks pretty decent I think?

Saw a post on TG discord about some dude crying because he thought the wired version was weak?
Ronniecolemanlight here 🤣 actual bodybuilder, one would say I’m “strong”!

I can confirm, the wire pro 2 “wired” did not break with my neanderthal like hands…. Overall I’m quite happy, looks decent, build quality seems good and cough “strong”!

Build:-

9800x3d on a artic pro liquid cooler 420mm

RTX 5090 on a Lynk+ duel rad, push and pull configuration.

G.skill, 6200mhz @ cl26

Hvan HS 420 case

MSI tomahawk x870 mobo

MSI MPG A1250GS PSU

About 20 ish + fans!

Overall, pretty sensible / standard build 😜

Wireview Pro 2 and Asus ROG Platinum PSU

Hey all, like a lot of people here I finally got my wired WireView and so far so good, but I noticed every time I play a game I keep getting a power imbalance for wire 1A. I use a ASUS ROG STRIX 1000w Platinum PSU, the one with Gan and "GPU-FIRST" using the two sense pins. As soon as I unplugged these from the PSU I did not get anymore power imbalance, has anyone else had this experience with this PSU?

Just got the WireView Pro II and immediately got a Current Imbalance error. How do I proceed?

Hi there! Some advice needed.

The device seems to do it's job immediately!

I just finished installing the WVPII and the monitoring was immediately off. Line 5 and 6 showed 0.1A and 0.0A. I though I'd test it with some Anno 1800 (pulling about 450W), got the error and immediately stopped playing. They're now 1.1A 1.1A 1.1A 1.1A 0.5A 0.1A.

I inspected the cable and the connector on the 5090FE and everything looked clean. I also always make sure the connectors are firmly seated. After I finish this post I will check the PSU end. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Solved: Replaced the cable with a new one. Could've maybe gotten away by pushing the pins back in (see photos in comments) as suggested by Sea_Inflation_2212 to keep the spare PSU new but I'm sticking with this. Thanks all!

Maxing out the Cooler Master Cosmos Alpha

Finally managed to move my case over from my previous build in a Be Quiet! Shadow Base 800 with my second GPU in an external enclosure. The riser cable setup I had with that wasn't good enough. The 2nd GPU is still connected with a riser cable, but it's a normal one and hasn't had any issues.

Pretty happy overall, but a bit unfortunate that the Cosmos Alpha is so "thin" when it matters - I am unable to close the glass panel. If I moved the AIO radiator to the outside of the bracket, I wouldn't be able to close the rear panel instead.

The cable management was a nightmare because of all the additional cables, especially the front panel connections with the multiple wireviews, kvm, and additional power button.
