This is regarding a previous post I did link - https://www.reddit.com/r/Triumph/s/WMK87meqPP,
but just for some context who dont know.
I purchased my Tiger 900cc Rally pro motorcycle in January 2023. At the time of purchase, the motorcycle already had approximately 5,000 km on the odometer, having previously been used as a dealership demonstration vehicle.
At approximately 17,965 km, the motorcycle developed a noticeable engine ticking noise. Following diagnosis by the manufacturer's authorised service centre, the complete cylinder head/valve assembly was replaced under warranty. Due to parts availability and the extent of the repair, the motorcycle remained in the workshop for approximately five months.
Following this repair, I was assured that the issue had been permanently resolved.
However, after only approximately 6,520 km of further use, with the odometer now at around 24,480 km, the motorcycle developed what appears to be the same engine ticking noise once again. The motorcycle has since undergone another major inspection involving reopening of the engine head, and the manufacturer is now proposing another significant valve/head assembly repair.
The motorcycle has remained under workshop custody for over 100 days during this second repair cycle.
The manufacturer has informed me that this recurrence is not related to a manufacturing defect and has proposed another component-level repair under warranty. However, no detailed technical explanation has been provided explaining why a major repair of this nature has recurred after such limited mileage since the previous intervention.
Where I need your help
I firmly believe that its more than what they are portraying and what they have proposed is not standard practice and whole engine should be replaced. But I am open for your thoughts on it.
If you believe I am being wronged and robbed of my bike's value and customer right. I would request your help to share this in the community and help me get justice for this. Here is my post link on X - https://x.com/handugraphy/status/2089632830066463003?s=20
25 RP chain tension question
I was adjusting the tension on my chain last night and was confused on whether I need to do it on the center stand or not?
I did my adjustment on the center stand since the manual suggests that all the weight needs to be off the rear wheel. The manual states that the measurements should fall between 30mm-40mm (1.1"-1.5") but this is way too tight.
Are the measurements listed in the manual supposed to be when the bike is off the stands altogether?
New-to-me 2020 Tiger 900 GT Pro
I got this bad boy on Friday after trading in my faithful and reliable 2015 Suzuki V-Strom650. It was listed at $7,000 due to having "high mileage." I bought the Strom on Easter weekend 2023 with 9500 on the odometer. In the three years and some change, I put on almost 41,000 miles. This one has almost 45,000 logged from the original owner. I only paid $5590 after trade. I think I got it for a straight up steal. All of the major service was done before it was released to the showroom floor.
This bike is unreal. Once the taller aftermarket windscreen comes in, I think it'll be the perfect specimen. I've been hitting the mountain roads pretty hard and it doesn't even flinch or jiggle on the roadway imperfections. I couldn't do that on the Strom.
Here's to many, many more miles!
Pulled the trigger on these bad boys today!
Pulled the trigger on these bad boys today for my 2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Took me two weeks of daily research on all bags available to me. Now for three sleepless nights until they arrive.

Summer in Colorado on a Motorcycle is a sexy combo. This is a great stretch between Divide and Cripple Creek. It's fun during the day and breathtaking at sunset.
Help me choose some hardcases for the Tiger
I had the Mosko Moto Reckless for the last year, took a 6000 km trip to italy and back. And one of the main issues was the security of the luggage, how difficult it is to pack into it, the fact that I had to add a lock into the rack itself for it to not be stolen. Also a bit annoying with a passenger and how long it takes to mount the rack.
So I sold it and now I'm looking for some hardcases. the ones I'm looking at are the givi trekker outback, I found some second hand, older gen, that are a bit scuffed but pretty cheap. The EVOs are much better but a lot more expensive. What are your thoughts?

New indicators, new mirrors, new handguards, and a modified Givi luggage rack!
I modified the Givi rack so that it currently functions as a sleek topbox rack only. However, I can easily bolt on the side panels with just 6 screws whenever I need the full panniers for a longer trip
Vibration and heat on new to me 2021 900 GT Pro
Have had one for a week after riding Japanese inline 4s for years. Great bike but holy cow does it feel like the engine is going to fly apart approaching red line. Is this a normal triple thing? T-plane specific? Also the rad fan heat on my knees is bothersome. Just not sure how this gets by the engineering department.
On the horns of a dilemma
I have a 2019 Super Tenere that I just finished a 9700 mile, 21 day trip from Pittsburgh to Dawson City, Yukon Territory and Alaska and back to Pittsburgh. It's a beast of a bike that's served me well as I've ridden through 49 of 50 states and all but two Canadian providences and territories. I've really enjoyed the bike, but at 68 years of age and the need to get something a bit less hefty, I'm in the market for somewhat smaller and lighter with a bit more oomph, if you know what I mean.
I have a shot at a "new for me" Triumph 900 Tiger in one of two flavors: A 2024 Rally Aragon with 1,300 miles, Bumont panniers and tool box, fog lights, rear rack, bar risers; or a 2025 Rally Pro with only 300 miles. Both are priced reasonably for the area (Pittsburgh, PA) and in great shape. Both sellers are motivated. I'm certainly motivated, but also uncertain about what to do.
Here's my problem in a nutshell - the 2024 is, I'm seeing from my research, a "gussied up" 2023 with lower horsepower (by about 10bhp) and somewhat less sophisticated electronics. Also, I don't need the panniers he's installed as I already have Mosko Moto bags, my own set of Bumonts, Nelson Rigg Hurricane gear that's bulletproof, and lots of camping/packing gear that I can adapt to the 2025, which is stone stock with factory lower engine guards and skid plate (I'd replace with T-Rex or Outback Mototek, which are wonderfully durable in my experience).
So, is the 2024 so much better than the 2023/2024 Rally Aragon (I've checked the VIN and confirmed the 2023 engine specs) that I should go with new and lower mileage? I could probably get either bike for a price within $500 of the other, with the Aragon being maybe a bit less expensive.
Thank you!
