How do you apply pressure to your grafts?

Had to get creative — it was too big and spiky for the pressure bandage. The rootstock could have even been more full of sap, it was freshly rooted weeks ago.

Edit: seems it was a little to heavy, it broke near bottom after 3 min 🥹 just erected it, hopefully it’s still gonna make it🤞🏻

Trying something new here

Trying something new year. Hopefully it will root and pups pop up from the variegated nodes. As you can see from the second picture i used a layer of pure perlite as medium where the cutting sits and then topped with soil again.

We’ve got a new moderator!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to thank u/OldFuxxer for his great work as a moderator. Besides being an excellent grower, he is someone who helps selflessly every day and contributes to the conversation in most posts, so I want to thank him for all the work he has done.

We also have a new moderator: a young guy, but with a lot of knowledge in botany and chemistry. So, with the combined knowledge of the three of us, we hope to post more content that can open up discussions on more technical cultivation topics.

So, welcome u/Sephire_2021!!!

Crested plant pupping, columnar or crested?

If a crested plant (Trichocereus pachanoi in this case) is pupping, will the pup be columnar or crested too? Anybody had such a case before?

Trichocereus cutting in sell 🙃

Hi there im selling Trichocereus cuttings, mix of bridgesii, scopulica, peruvianus, pachanoi and others. I lost the labels a while ago so I can't tell you exactly what's what, but if you know your stuff you'll probably recognize them from the photos.

These came from plants that snapped or were about to break during winter, so they're not the prettiest things to look at right now. They're still perfectly viable for rooting though, and honestly they're better suited for someone who wants bulk material for extractions or crafting rather than display.

Price is 40 cents per cm, so 1 meter goes for 40 euros. I'll clean them up before shipping. You can pick from what's in the photos and video, or just message me and we'll see if I still have something specific you're looking for.

Shipping is on the buyer, tracked and fast, with insurance strongly recommended. I ship within Europe only, everything leaves from southern Italy.

WTF, anybody seen something similar before?

2 years old seedling 🌱

Looks like a healed fungal infection?

Why the vegetation point, guess it’s more vulnerable there?

Variegated T. pachanoi cutting, 33cm with beautiful markings 💛💚 150€ + shipping to Europe.

Trying to fund the building of a second green house :)

The cutting is at the very bottom of the pup, almost no wounded surface to callous. Rooting hormone IBA applied immediately on the fresh surface.
