It pays to ask

Was at an estate sale yesterday and while there asked if they had any clothing items they’d sell, they said maybe in the barn and if they found any they’d set them aside for me the next day, drove back up there today and they dug these out for me.

They look to be 1940s-1960s jackets, the Hercules wool jacket is killer looking and great shape, the postal service jacket looks to be denim, and the mcgregor hooded jacket is wild looking
Shame the varsity jacket is so cooked, but still had to save it, hoping these clean up well and get that funk smell out

Are these rare? 70s champion reverse weave

I believe the print is from the royal military college of Canada. I was wondering if in this conditionn if this is rare. To me it looks very minimally worn, it is a small size though. What’s the disparity in rarity of this compared to a hoodie?

Parachute Bag made for the RAF around 1945 (WW2 era deadstock I believe)

An absolute gem of a find, one of my most sought after items in the world of military surplus. Super rugged and in amazing condition considering its age and I cannot believe I only paid £30 for it considering how much they can go for.

Original zipper and has all the original flaps inside used to secure a parachute for storage and transport.

1950s ball cap?

Stopped by the local antique shop today and saw this really cool leather ball cap and decided to get it, I’m thinking maybe 1950s?

TIL the USPS is older than the USA and Ralph Lauren made a jacket about it.

Wild fact for a Wednesday: USPS was founded in 1775, a full year before the Declaration of Independence. The country didn't exist yet, but the mail did.

Last year, Ralph Lauren teamed up with actual USPS historians to design a carrier coat based on 1870s postal uniforms. Details that are kind of nerdy in a good way:

- Reinforced shoulder padding (for carrying the mailbag)
- Brass buttons cast from the original mold, same manufacturer
- Star patches on the cuffs representing employee tenure
"1775" and "2025" embroidered in

Thought this was a cool piece of postal history/design crossover.

Anyone want to guess what the jacket went for?

1960s Pendleton Board Shirts, NOS

Got these two Board shirts for $10 each at an estate sale. These are NOS condition, still creased from the store. The green plaid is 1960. Possible the red plaid is late 50s transition. Definitely pre-1964, and the early 60s had a copyright date on the care instructions, and the care tag is consistent with 50s. Amazing thing is these both fit like a glove. These are some new prize possessions!

Pendleton is an example of a brand that added care instructions before the 1971 law.

Is this true vintage ? Found in storage locker

I can't find anything online. It looks like the cactus collab. Could it be a fake replica? What are your thoughts?

Rare 1940s–50s Leather Motorcycle Cap

Highly unique, custom-made or small-batch piece from the post-WWII era. Instead of standard hardware the top button is an actual Austrian 50 Groschen coin. Based on its design (the narrow shield and the way the wheat stalks overlap it) this specific coin variant was only minted between 1946 and 1955. It also includes removable mesh goggles. The interior reveals the raw suede side of the leather and the rear strap features slightly irregular hand-punched stitching secured with simple rivets.
