I have a MacBook will it be fine for my 4 years at UET for Electrical engineering or do i NEED to get a windows laptop and if so pls recommend a good laptop for it

Guys anyone currently living in UET hostels, could i get pictures of the hostel rooms plssssss i desperately wanna see how bad they can get after looking at ppl ranting about them

Okay so i got admission in electrical engineering in uet lhr....so my question is...how is the department of electrical engineering....how was your first day in dep. of electrical engineering...was there any ragging and also what will we bring with us on first day ...like bag with laptop or something like that...plz tell me seniors

Are muns a luxury for the rich and the middle class doesnt matter. Like i was checking the registration fee for some muns and the cheapest one was 3500rs. dude are you serious like its an educational competition try to have some compassion for the underprivileged and the middle class. Like if i want to attend 2 MUNs in a month i would need atleast 10k.

So in two years I'll get my visa to go abroad and restart bachelor's from start there. My two years here won't be counted once I redo the bachelor's there. I've heard that in private unis you can get an ADP degree even after you leave bachelor's after two years. Is there any way to do that in uet? It would really help me there in the job market if I have a recognized degree.

NOTE: I already have payed the fee in uet so cant goto private uni now 😭

How to transfer campuses like if you want to come from ksk to main campus? And also what about programs ? How to transfer programs after a year if you didn't make into desired one this year?

Please, if there is any senior or anyone who is currently staying in or has previously lived in UET Lahore hostels, could you please share a complete and detailed guide for us?

Okay so its official I am taking a gap year.

Here i have a list of questions from you seniors.

1. Since board has introduced a new smart syllabus which reuqires the students to conceptually understand topics to overcome board questions. The students will already be prepared for entry tests meaning k they will be conceptually very strong. This means thar next year merit will definitely rise 100% right?

2. I bought hashim zias batch for 10k already in 2026. But since i am taking a gap year will i have to re buy it or what? I didn't pass so technically he should prolly give me access na?

3. Topics are mostly the same for gap year student right?

4. I have heard that your 2nd year result is not considered in your final aggregate/ merit calculation at The following unis UET PU ITU. Kindly confirm.

5. I only need to have at least 60% in 2nd year only or 60% in your complete intermediate?

6. I last year gave the NET with a crappy prep and scored only 104. This year if I prepare well can I score better considering that I have studied the older PTB books.

7. Whats it like to be on a proper gap?

If I am admitted to BS Electrical Engineering at UET Lahore can I later apply for an internal change of program to Computer Engineering or AI ? Is it possible

Ok so my friend is currently around 1.2% short of the UET Mechatronics A2 category merit. What are his chances of getting selected in any of the upcoming merit lists?

Does UET usually see the merit drop by around 1-2% across the remaining lists due to students leaving or choosing other universities? Any idea how much the merit can realistically drop?

When is the orientation for the new batch 2026 and when are classes starting

Hey guys I am a fresher who'll be joining UET for mechanical engineering this semester and I need urgent advice for some matter. Actually before giving ecat I also gave net 1 without preparation as a joke but now I've been accepted to nust in the 3rd merit list in electrical engineering at military college of signals MCS Rawalpindi. I'm really confused on what to do now as obviously nust is the better option but it is very expensive for me and not affordable to study there as the tuition fee is almost 2 lakh and also there will be a need for hostel further adding to expenses I am really confused as tomorrow is the last day for fee submission at nust so I'll have to make a decision now. Also I'm applying for public universities abroad in Austria and am expecting to get in so at most I'll be studying only one semester here. I'm confused as there is never a hundred percent chance that I'll be going abroad cuz nothing is certain ever but still this is something I have to look at for making my decision. Kindly someone access my situation and help me out by giving honest advice I'll be really thankful 🙌
