Computer Engineering

Hello, I'm so dumb, men. I want to cry badly. I'm a first-generation university-going student. I filled out the online form for my university and selected CS, S.E, and I.T, but I didn't pay the fee even though the deadline has passed. Since the deadline has passed, I visited the university to change my department to Computer Engr. The admission officer checked it and told me that since you have already filled out the form for CS. You can opt for that as well. We will talk with the bank guys. I didn't think and said you can select computer engineering for me, as its merit is lower than cs.

Now, once I came back home and when i looked up the Computer Engr scope on the internet. I got to know that I'm cooked.

Since I come from a pre-med background, I don't have good understanding of maths. The university offers deficiency courses, but still I'm studying basics from myself.

Please give me sincere advice on should i pursue C.E or take a gap year for CS.

Associate Computer Degree

Hi,

Can I get into Associate CS with these percentages in Morning/Evening?

Matric is 71%, and FSc is 73% in the Pre-Med group.

Also, after completing an associate degree, can we get admission in the 5th sem at PU to complete our degree?

How to prep for BS Nursing test? and do I have any chances?

- I got 71% in Matric and 80% in FSc

- Volunteered with three International NGO's.

- Completed a 4-month internship.

- Completed Akhuwat Fellowship 2026.

- Selected in Stanford Code In Place 2026 to learn computer programming.

- Founded my own not-for-profit organisation, working on ending the opportunity gap between our local students and Foreign opportunities.

- Won an AI image-generated contest by a Russian university.

What are my chances of getting selected and also receiving financial aid? As I come from an underdeveloped district and have studied in a local government school and college.

Also, how can I prepare for the test? What's the test date?

Can i get in ADP Computer Science?

Hi,

I have 71% in Matric and 73% in FSc (Pre-Medical). Yes, I have low marks; that's why I'm considering a 2-year associate degree. So my questions are:

  1. Can I get in ADP CS with these marks?
  2. Is there any other Computing Department where I'll have chances of admission?
  3. Can I later start my 5th sem at GCU Lahore and complete my degree.
  4. Is additional board math paper is necassry or I can get in with the condition of passing the Mathematics Deficiency course in the first year?
  5. Is there an entry test or something?

Taking a gap year after FSc to improve and learn skills

Hi,

I'm taking a gap year to improve few papers of intermediate and to prepare for a fully funded scholarship (provincial level) which will cover my all educational expenses and gives me admission at CS in public universities of punjab like GCU Lahore, PU, Uni of Education, Sarghoda, etc.

I am also enrolled at Web & App Course at SMIT, our classes are on Sat and Sunday.

I know we can learn from YouTube but it's very much harder so the SMIT course maybe work fine for me.

So i need a advice from seniors, Is this roadmap okay, will i get a paid/unpaid internship after this course?

First generation university student

Hi,

I have recently given my 12th boards and currently waiting for my results. I donot have good marks in Matric/Inter as i have studied from local govt school and colleges where our teacher don't even take classes.

I have two options for now:

First is to give my FSc papers improvement, prepare for provincial reserved seats in public universities of punjab and also for a entry test based upon FSc.

Second is to get admission at VU for BSCS, As i cannot afford regular universities. My goal is to get a MS/PhD Scholarship after my bachelors, If finances became more tight in the future than a job of a software developer.

Please advice me what i should do?

My parents don't care because they want me to start doing any odd job to bring food in table and also there is no graduate in our whole family so it's kind of hard to convience my parents. Maybe I'll have to manage the VU fee by my own pocket money.

or I should take a gap year, give FSc papers to score 80-85%, that's it i need this much only and next year apply for reserved seats?
