Easy elective recommendations?

So I’m currently in an engineering degree, and I really wanna do like an easy elective. I’m going to do bugs and drugs in the summer, heard it’s pretty easy so something similar. Thanks.

WSU’s new brand “Charge Towards Change”

Is this how they tell us they are going to start charging students more? Did you think they even considered that the word ‘charge’ implies fees?

Changing disability advisor

Has anybody had any luck swapping to a different disability advisor? My one doesn’t respond for weeks and then she often just ignores or doesn’t read my emails, and is very passive aggressive towards me. I’m honestly a bit scared to ask if I can see another advisor because I’m worried if she finds out I asked that, that she will cancel my ARAP. Any advice? Thanks in advance

My third year at Uni but its actually my first?

Anonymously posting this and my situation is very unique to myself but I started University in 2024 and my mental health problems which can be quite severe meant my first semester was basically a fail. Second semester I basically did not do any class.

2 year I did one class and I did pass that. Second semester did nothing again.

Now its my 3 year and I did 4 classes and I believe I passed at least 3 out of my 4.

I'm in a much better headspace now compared to when I did not want to do anything.

Anybody else in a similar position?

Subject Registration

Helloo, its my first year and I've finished my first semester, I think when I registered it was called "Autumn, Sc1, Wstc, T1" or something like that, I think a month has passed after I finished my tests and I forgot I had to register my subjects again. I'm doing a bachelor of information systems at parra, and I'm pretty sure I have to do the spring semester now, but there are a lot of different options that I can pick from (screenshot of all the spring ones). Could someone please help me out.

(Idk if these semesters only show for me or everyone else)

Also am I supposed to fill in the subject details myself, or are they supposed to show up in that summary thing, I really don't remember from last time. Any help is appreciated!! Also If anyone could let me know how I can confirm myself what semester is the right one so I don't have to ask for every new semester, that'd help a lot TY.

First year, second semester subjects question

Basically, I'm in my second semester of my first year, I checked my courses core subjects and followed the same like order, except the 4th subject is in Autumn, I assume next year. So I've got 3 subjects.

Now I'm confused what to put as my fourth subject, I thought to put the first subject that shows on my major but that requires a co requisite of another subject.

Do I pick some random elective?

Bachelor of Information Systems, major in Cybersecurity management.

Need to satisfy the English requirement?

I just realised that I need to satisfy the English requirement. I want to apply as a mature age student for semester 2 for the bachelor of business or diploma of business , but I don’t have anything to prove this. I did stat tests both multiple choice and written English and uws only accepts multiple choice. It seems like I have to do a toefl online exam? What should I do? Is there any way to apply without meeting the English requirement? Am I too late to apply for semester 2? One of the options is to take a toefl online test, but then I might not make it in time for semester 2 so I don’t know what to do…

BACHELOR OF PRIMARY EDUCATION ONLINE OR ON CAMPUS

Hi everyone,
I’ve been accepted into both Charles Sturt University (CSU) and Western Sydney University (WSU) for the Bachelor of Primary Education, and I’m having a hard time deciding which one to choose.
CSU is 100% online, while WSU is on campus. I have two young children who attend daycare four days a week, so attending campus is definitely possible for me.
I’m just not sure whether studying online or on campus would be the better experience. If anyone has studied at either CSU or WSU, or has experience with online or on-campus learning, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and what you would recommend.
Thank you!

Failed a course. What now?

In my first semester of my first year. 90% sure I just failed a final exam (yay), what happens now? When I repeat the course do I have to stay an extra year or can I do 5 courses in a sem instead of 4?

Wsu special consideration

Hi does anyone have any clue what to do next if special consideration was approved. I had x type of surgery that caused me to miss a majority of online classes due to hospital stay for x amount of days. I submitted all the relevant documents for my special consideration form.

The special considerstion form was for class participation 10% which was attending classes and contributing. My special considerstion form was approved, but upon checkin the marks released i received a 0/10. Do they normally adjust the marks after the final examination?

I ended up emailing the units head and they awarded me 4/10. Which was already generous yes but I submitted and was approved for my special considerstion "application outcome - Application accepted but no furtheraction is required". Is this the norm for special consideration marks? But I genuinly would have attended class if it wasnt for the surgery.. any advice or similar situations happy to delete if not allowed sorry just needed some guidance

Enrollment in 2 different teaching sessions

Hi.

I’m currently enrolling in spring semester. One of my subjects clash with another, which is already unusual because they are meant to be taken at the same time as per the handbook.

I’ve emailed the teacher and he told me that it’ll also be available in the Sydney city term 3 semester.

Now, my questions is, is it possible to be enrolled in both the spring semester and the Sydney city term 3 semester, as they both overlap each other. The spring semester typically ends towards the end of November, and the term 3 semester begins late October. Has anyone ever done this before?

Thanks

What determines conditional enrollment?

Unfortunately this semester I'm on the track to probably failing 2/4 subjects.

Is this enough for the uni to cap me at 3 subjects next semester under conditional enrollment? If so, am I allowed to get permission to do 4 subjects next semester via a rule waiver or something of that sort?

One of the subjects I'm probably to fail is my 2nd attempt.
