I am Japanese.I saw that Kikuo's comments about generative AI sparked strong criticism from the overseas community.
So I wanted to ask people in the overseas Vocaloid community what they think about generative AI, which is why I'm making this post.

I can barely think of any well known artists in the Japanese music industry who have spoken critically about AI generated music, but I can easily name a lot of prominent artists who have spoken positively about it.
In fact, the only prominent Vocaloid producers in Japan who I know have made critical remarks about AI generated music are buzzG and 32ki, and even those remarks were made several years ago, so I don't know what they think now.

Personally, I don't like AI art, but I feel that Japan's creative culture will end up being replaced by generative AI, because no one is resisting it.

What kind of discussions are happening in the overseas Vocaloid community about generative AI?
What do you think about the situation in Japan?
I'd be glad to hear a variety of opinions.

i used to talk about how actress by iyowa was my most favorite song on here. but recently ive started to enjoy cinder quartet by pocco tocco more than actress.

does anyone else feel guilty replacing what used to be their favorite song?

Hi! I'm Ava. I'm turning 13-16 (not gonna specify), and I have a complicated relationship with Vocaloid. I became a fan from ages 10 all the way to 13, and I got bullied badly when I told others (even my so-called friends) I like Miku. They made things up, like me liking it for, er...18+ things, which I find rlly gross. And it turned me off from being a fan of Vocaloid for a long time.

Mind you, the bullying had gotten so bad I had to go to both therapy and was involuntarily sent to a ward since I was so depressed, so I genuinely have CPTSD from school now. (Every time I go to school, I feel as if speaking is impossible and get shaky the whole day) But now I'm back into Vocaloid and wanna collect cd's of it and figures, but I'm so so so so so scared it'll happen again.

What do I do?
