Hi all,

Since a month or so this new to me 2023 V60 B4 is mine. It still has 2 yrs of Volvo Select warrantee. During the test drive I noticed a small interior rattle appearing from the front right passagner side above 80 kmh depending on wind direction at which speed it occurs exactly.

Thought nothing much of it as the car was in great condition otherwise. First owner, bought and mainained at the dealership.

Ofcourse the rattle started to annoy in the otherwise quiet interior and I wanted to isolate the issue.

Steps taken so far to no avail:

- obvious mirror check (folding in mirrors) and checking the attachments
- rearview mirror box
- reattached mudguards firmly
- sunscreen attachments to roof
- taped air intake under windscreen
- taped windscreenwiper attachments
- taped outside windowtrim
- took out the glovebox (opening up the area made the rattle more obvious)
- checked and taped all plastic on plastic joints of the panels
- checked and taped all wiring and connectors
- checked and openend the fuse box
- took out interiour filter and checked the box for loose hinges.
- checked bottomplate to bumper attachment (its firm on both sides)

The rattle still persist.

Options not excluded:
- i know there’s some active air intake lamells in the lower front bumper that could affect air flow. Having a look while they were open when parked reveiled some leafs piling up in the area, but i don’t know how to reach those when the intake is closed.

Anything I could do more before taking it back to the dealer?

Can anyone provide info on DIY installation of lighting behind the lower-grill of a 2020 V60 or similar? Specifically, are there any videos about how to access the area behind the lower grill (ie, the space directly in front of the intercooler)?

Unlike the car in the above image, I'd like to mount a pair of small round PIAA 12-Watt LEDs on the exterior (front) of the lower grill, but obviously wiring and bracket installation will be much easier by accessing the space behind it.

Although I do know how to remove the entire front bumper/bonnet, I'd like to avoid doing that. I'm really hoping that there is a way to get in there by somehow popping the lower grill out or possibly accessing the space behind it from beneath (ie, perhaps by detaching part of the engine splashguard...?).

Also seeking input on how to access the area behind the glove box without destroying it.

I had been waffling about getting one of these for the better part of a year, and it’s my first car purchase in over a decade. 2020 V60 CC, two owner Florida car for half its life by way of New Jersey it would seem. 75k miles, 24.5k out the door.

Tan interior. I absolutely love it.

The 2nd owner didn’t do much of anything for maintenance besides yearly oil changes and tire rotations and skipped out on the big 60k maintenance.

I’m pretty handy, so I ordered the all fluids change kit from FCPEuro and plan to do that when it comes in. I also ordered a new sunroof seal because this one has a pretty large gap. Changed the cabin and engine air filters today. Also ordered some hard water remover and a wax kit because the 2nd owner also apparently never did a hand wash and let water dry on it a lot.

Is there anything else I need to be doing to get this car in tip top shape? For the sunroof drains, how far should I be putting my cleaning tool into the hole to ensure they’re mint? They all drain normally right now but I figure since I’m taking out the glass anyway when the sunroof seal comes in I should hit them with a cleaning.
