Why generic UM in background?

Why generic UM in background?

Usually I’m glazing snowprint for how they do a good job with their loading screens. But in my opinion having heavy intercessor and bald Certus just doesn’t look as cool as what could have been.

Could have had other dark angels in the background that would have been cooler I think.

Perhaps I’m all wrong and this serves a duel purpose, to highlight ramus the new dark angel, but also the crusade mode which will have the imperials functioning as a team of sorts.

What do y’all think? Am I overreacting?

Feeling conflicted about my guild

WARNING: This post might sound disjointed. I am typing this up while watching over a toddler and an infant!

I feel bad, but I kind of want to leave my guild. I'm power level 65 and have been playing for just over 3 years. This has been my only guild, but there have only been maybe 2 others in the guild the whole time. We don't have a discord or anything, it's mostly just the amount of time that I have spent with the guild that gives me any sort of kinship (yes, I know it's a game).

I am definitely more than casual, but certainly not hardcore. I feel arrogant saying this, but I really feel like a portion of my progress is significantly held back by poor/lack of participation, especially in guild wars. We jump between Bronze 2 and 3, there are almost always 50+ tokens left on the table and people just wasting tokens attacking random line ups. I also know that they would take a big hit on raids, as I am consistently #1 or #2 for damage, with a considerably large gap to #3 and beyond (AdMech team).

I'm not really sure where I fall in terms of the type of player I am, or the kind of guild I should be looking for. Any advice or nuggets of wisdom to share?

Snappawrecka passive

Thinking about the final slot for my mech team and was curious if snappas passive stacks to continuously reduce armor. Im considering it for tan gidas active that makes teammates do more damage against enemies with reduced armor.

Next four characters lined up.

So with these four characters who do you think gets the LRE? One thing to remember Snow Print like to recycle tracks if they're multiple LRE characters of the same faction..

Or do you think we will get both Lykhis and Lysander LRE's? Both definately worthy but I can't help but feel Lysander will be an addition to the AA faction (to which I would be dissapointed if it were to happen) plenty of potential for Imperial Fists to be its own faction.

The Votann I can imagine being a BP

And Sekhetar being a HRE..

Thoughts?

You are not connected to the internet after buying pass

Hi all,

First post here. I tried to search some key words to see if anyone else had gone through this, but basically what the title says. I cannot seem to collect Badges from the season rewards, it keeps stating that I am not connected to the internet. Any suggestions ?

Open Letter to Snowprint (from a minnow)

An open letter to Snowprint:

I'm exactly the kind of player I think Snowprint should care about. Neither free-to-play nor whale. I've bought Battle Passes, monthly Blackstone, and event packs. I've also stopped spending more than once.

I asked my guildmates where they saw themselves. Many sounded just like me. There’s plenty of discussion in the community about top guilds managing a broken ledger, replacing those that "wasted the Emperor's coin." That tells me I'm not alone.

The Mythic update brought me back because it gave my stalled roster momentum. It felt like the game respected my time again, and I happily spent for several seasons.

I've stopped again.

Even though I want to support the game. The problem is I no longer see how spending meaningfully improves the experience without simply becoming a whale.

Individually, the recent changes make sense. Guild Raid. Guild War. Hopefully Crusades. More reasons to build broader rosters and refresh the meta. Collectively, though, they all point in the same direction: the mountain keeps getting taller.

Every time I feel like I'm reaching meaningful late-game participation, the next ridge appears. I'm earning more resources than ever, yet I'm less excited to log in because the required time and effort is growing even faster.

I've stopped asking, "Should I buy this?"

I've started asking, "Would buying this actually change anything?"

For whales, a new feature is another ridge to climb. For players like me, it feels like the mountain grows faster than I'm climbing it. Spending another $20 or $50 doesn't change that. It just feels like swapping the shovel.

I don't want purchases to accelerate the chores.

I want them to amplify the fun.

I still believe Tacticus is one of the best mobile games available. I just hope Snowprint spends as much time designing reasons for players like me to happily keep spending as it does designing the next mountain to climb.

Morvenn Vall?

Since the game clearly wants me to use her with all the shards I got, how good is she and what does she excel at?

Mythic bosses are just overtuned, it's neither fun nor engaging.

I've done everything correctly for the mythic bosses, suffered through grinding my raid team to A2, got mythic biovore, watched replays to not waste tokens because there is still no practice mode and one wrong move can ruin your run and put your guild behind.

And still Laviscus dies a turn too early just standing next to Mortarion. I don't know how all the guys in the replays do it to keep him alive. I am using the exact same positioning. Do they all have their characters at mythic wings because they chucked thousands of dollars at the game until they got lucky getting all the mythic shards they needed?

I know you are not supposed to survive Mortarion until the very last turn of the attempt and thats fine I guess, your run is planned around that fact anyway (using Waagh a turn earlier than you normally would etc.). But if I have a full A2 team (and even got Atlacoya to D3 as a flex slot) I'd expect my core pieces to at least survive to the second to last turn. If the requirement additionally becomes that your characters have to be mythic wings or one step before that so you can execute a run properly (against the first mythic boss no less, primarch or not), then screw this.

Mythic bosses health and damage is overtuned and it is neither fun nor engaging. Also putting Lion, Mortarion and Magnus back to back to back is just asinine. Do better Snowprint.

And for all the Snowprint bootlickers in this sub: no, I am not saying mythic bosses should be a cakewalk, but there is some bandwidth between overtuned and too easy.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I even got Kariyan at three blue stars (I'm still 50 shards away from wings) and in my last attempt he only barely survived to the second to last turn because of his resilient trait, just because he stood next to Mortarion. Either reduce the health pool of the mythic bosses or tweak the damage, because this is just stupid.

The first energy purchase paid for by watching an ad should give 100 energy, not 50

Crusade Details (crossposted from Discord and ingame)

A Crusade is the Imperial term for a very large-scale military campaign undertaken to conquer or retake multiple worlds or an entire sector of the galaxy. The Chaos equivalent is known as a “Black Crusade." Separate from the lore, there’s also the tabletop gameplay term “Crusade”, denoting a series of games (battles) arranged in a campaign with progression elements.

A Tacticus Crusade is a recurring live event that runs in 10 week seasons. Our intent is that for most of those weeks, it runs largely in the background powered by your regular gameplay choices - we're not adding huge amounts of new actions or battles.

Each season has three main parts:
Week 1-6
Expansion phase
Week 7-10
Domination phase
Week 10
Crescendo event

The Imperials embark on a Crusade, and Chaos and xenos factions are naturally in opposition - but to be clear, they’re not friends, they simply oppose the Imperium. “The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy, but it’s always a good time to wreck that other enemy.”

Every Guild reaches a decision together, and the Guild Leader picks a side (as long as the Guild is at least level 5). Then each guild member who has reached level 20 or higher picks a faction within their Guild’s side, so if your guild went with "Imperial,” all the members would be free to pick any Imperial faction. During the Crusade, many of your actions score you points (similar to HRE in this regard). All your points contribute simultaneously to your own score, your guild’s score, and your faction’s score.

Note that we will be scaling the points according to the number and strength of the players that picked a given side/faction, so that functionally, the two sides will be evenly matched.

The fun is all in the Galaxy Map. There are at this time 96 planets to fight for, and the winning side of the Crusade will be the one that controls the most planets. Guild leaders can designate a target planet, similar to choosing a target zone in Guild War. In addition to your points counting towards your own score, your guild’s score and your faction’s score, your victories in the game will count towards the capture of the planet you choose to fight for. The side with the most points at the end of each week during the Expansion phase wins the planet. Of course, there are rewards for capturing a planet :)

Every week during the Expansion phase, players will see a new set of planets made available for fighting. But once the six weeks of Expansion are over...the war for Domination begins. During the Domination phase, you may look to enemy planets adjacent to your own and try to take them…but beware of the enemy trying to take your territory. If the enemy takes your planet, and you still control a planet behind the fallen one, you may try and take it back the following week. Each time a planet changes hands, it gets harder to reconquer!

The final week of Domination is called Crescendo, and it's the week with active gameplay. We are not yet ready to talk about it, though. See you back here in 1.42 ;) Seriously, we can tell you that the Crescendo has active gameplay, similar in scope to a seasonal event. Rewards are given throughout (and of course there’s a shop for the whole mode, and new currencies called Intel, Forces, and Ordnance), but the major rewards are delivered during Crescendo.

We can discuss sub-features called Operations, and…Guild Projects, where your guild can determine, earn, and deploy (via a command available to the guild leader) a bonus allowing you and your friends to influence the Crusade. Guild Projects: Actually, literally…coming soon!

Operations: Check your Operations board, and choose a mission to which you commit specific characters. (Don’t worry, characters remain usable in all other game modes.) Rarity, rank, and faction will matter. They’ll go out and fight, and when they return, they’ll have resources and gained some XP at the same time.

Guild Projects: With either resources (Crusade-only resources mentioned above, called Intel, Forces, and Ordnance), tasks, or both, your guild can work together to unlock special actions that apply to the Crusade . We are starting with two, Orbital Bombardment (same for everyone) and Mass Reinforcements (slightly different tasks depending on the chosen side in Crusade) with more to be added in the future. You can repeat projects in a single Crusade season, but it will get more costly each time.

At the end of the season, either the Imperium wins or they’re Devastated. In addition to rewards for participating and planetary capture, there will also be a leaderboard component for both guilds and individuals, for those who like that sort of thing. We’re populating the Crusade shop with stuff like new relics (starting with one for Haarken and one for Anuphet).

As I said at the top — once you’ve chosen your planets, the main effort on your part for the first phase is done. Just play as normal! All we’ve done is give your points score some real meaning. Your community people are hoping to see some fun meta gameplay emerge on our socials, of course, but all you _have_ to do in order to be part of this galactic war is be a Tactician and play.

Watch for the patch notes next week, check out our friends Tactifuchs and Nandi to see some videos that will help you take this all in, and we’ll see you again soon with Crescendo details!

Why are the necrons so weak?

Im trying to finish the necron elite campaign, i have a g3 aleph s2 anuphet, s2 imospek and bronze 3 mahkotep. I dont use thutmose he is only iron 1 and is too squishy and i dont have thothmek though i wish i did because he seems to be the only unit capable of 1 hitting an enemy. Even my aleph thats way higher rank than the enemies only 1 hits the weaker enemies with a crit or higher ground and sometimes takes 2-3 hits to kill the more armored enemies. All my units have max equipment in all slots and are all epic with aleph in legendary.

I dont want to waste the orbs making them legendary or the materials boosting their ranks much higher but i still have the last two pages to beat and theres no way im gonna 3 star them or even beat some of them. All the guides say you can do it with lower ranks but unless i get great minion placement and some luck its way harder than they make it seem.

Do the necrons just always do terrible damage? Im sure if i ranked them way up they’d eventually kill stuff way weaker than them easier but i feel like they are just such a waste to put anything into because besides aleph i dont see them being very useful in other modes.

Is thutmose a big help that im overlooking and could be my damage dealer? If so i wouldnt mind taking him to silver ranks if that would help he is just so squishy its not worth losing the 3 star to a single sniper shot.

I need to either beat the necron elite or aeldari elite to unlock the custodes/ emp children item elite battles and i have g1 aethana/ eldryon and s1 calandis so that elite campaign has been just as rough. Maybe i should just switch to the aeldari? I can get the same items from that campaign

Storm Seeker

Greetings!

Is the Storm Seeker (MOW), in the Dark Angels Chapter, considered a Dark Angel when counting kills in the upcoming HSE (Faction Boost: Dark Angels)?

Or, is it simply an MOW and would it, possibly, mess with the kill count?

Is El J overkill?

That 400k score is the best I’ve got this season against L5 El Johnson. Anyone else finding this boss to be waaay too tough when you factor in the terminators?
I just feel like the boss is hard enough to damage as it is with his little watcher buddies, and then you get these terminators all over the place sucking more damage out of his path.

Just trying to open a discussion about what teams are working for you guys and best runs so far.
