Commuting to Arlington/Alexandria

Wanted to get some input from those of you who live in the Charles Town/Ranson/Harpers Ferry area that commute down to Arlington/Alexandria for work and HAVE one of the express lane passes. Have a potential job lined up that would require that commute. Hours would be 6-2. Thanks!

Edit: I should also add I already commute an hour daily into MD from Ranson.

"Remote" place for staycation

Hi all!

A friend and I are looking for a place within 2 hours drive of the Eastern Panhandle that feels remote, but has lodging/AirBnB/whatever. My friend has specifically asked not to camp lol.

We are just looking to chill and unwind for a weekend in July, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Local female friends?

Might be a long shot but I just moved near charlestown and I am hoping to make some friends.

Im 27 i have a little dog no kids yet but working as a daycare teacher really fueled the baby fever so maybe soon. probably a little neuro divergent im a stay at home girlfriend at least until my injury heals so I have way to much free time and the only person I can bug is my sister who works and everyone else lives like an hour plus away 😭.

I have joined some fb groups but because I broke my right foot I cant use it to drive so im missing all the meet ups with them or I would be there.

Anyway here's my interested: metalcore, pop, synthwave, true crime, comedies, horror, romance, early 2000s-2010s anime, cozy games, management Sims, fortnite, reading, crochet, coloring, befriending crows, travel (going to london soon!), one direction, drag shows, occasionally going out.

And just cause I cant escape these things here's what I do not like cause bff was full of this so it failed me: taylor swift, Jesus, Disney

What are Pepperoni Rolls?

I am new to West Virginia, currently residing in Martinsburg. Lived in Maryland (just across the border) all of my life and never heard of this Pepperoni Roll state food/obsession until now!! (Is it your best-kept secret or am I just clueless?!)

Any suggestions for the best ones to try for a first-timer? Or best recipe 😋? (I love to cook!)

Thank you my fellow citizens 💜

VH Emergency Departments' physicians will be replaced by private equity October 1

The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) is a national professional association representing over 8,000 specialists in emergency medicine (EM). We are concerned that the physicians of Emergency Medicine of Blue Ridge have been informed that, as of October 1, they will need to be employed by SCP Health in order to continue to care for patients in the emergency departments of Valley Health system. The AAEM endorses the notion that local physician ownership of their practice is the best arrangement for physicians, the medical staff, the hospital, and, most importantly, for the patients. SCP Health is owned by the private equity firm Onex. 🙌 Who's working the polls tomorrow? 🙌

First of all, I'm just thanking y'all who signed up to work, and wishing everyone a great day tomorrow!

I'll be at Blue Ridge Acres! (Precinct 17)

I'm also wondering if anyone else will be at the BRA country club, working - we should chat; I'd just love to know if people are bringing food to share, or anything like that.

What can I do to help 🥰 !

See y'all at the polls!

Git out there and vote 🇺🇸 🦅 💕

What questions are on the ballot today?

Are there any questions on the ballots today in the election for schools or infrastructure or taxes, etc, specifically? Such as yes or no votes? I'm in Jefferson County, but please feel free to share info for Berkeley as well.

Edit: I went to vote in Jefferson County and no questions at all were on the ballot.
