Jan 1997 - Shawn Michaels defeats Sid to win the WWF Championship. (2)

Feb 1997 - Shawn forfeits the WWF Title when he loses his smile.

May 1997 - Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin win the WWF Tag Team Titles. (3)

June 1997 - Shawn Michaels forfeits the WWF Tag Team Titles. (this is the third time Shawn forfeits the WWF Tag Team Titles)

Sept 1997 - Shawn Michaels wins the WWF European Title. (1)

Nov 1997 - Shawn Michaels wins the WWF Championship. (3)

Dec 1997 - Triple H "pins" Shawn Michaels to win the European Title. (Although it's a pinfall, it's not a match and he's essentially forfeiting it over the title to Triple H)

March 1998 - Steve Austin pins Shawn Michaels to win the WWF Title. (Third pinfall loss to lose a title)

You have to think the only reason Shawn agreed to lose to both Marty and Sid is because he knew he'd be regaining the title pretty soon after that. The Austin one was essentially the only selfless title loss on this list, but Shawn had no choice.
