Morning y’all
So what’s up? Building heavy bows? Flinging heavy arrows? Personally I’m about to go bowling but then all of the above ✌️

Some people say it’s a bow above a certain weight. Other people say it’s a bow intended for war. Some think none of this makes any sense at all. What do you say?
My heaviest at the time (80#) with u/BlackArrowLongbowsUK in the last inch of tiller.
Hi all. I'm sure we all know the pain of finding arrows that won't kill our bows.
For the last 6 months I've been shooting these out of my 110 and 130.
Cheap carbon spines, ($30 for 12) slide in a steel tube core ($10 for 6), pack it down with wadding (I just use cotton) and use one of these 300 grain tips ($10 for 12).
Makes a sturdy arrow clocking in at 73 grams (1127 grain).
Now, let me say it's not anything nearly as good as "proper" war-bow arrows, and they do break if you abuse them, but they're also $5 a pop, so they're just fine for your yard or park range.
Had an exceptional time shooting the field course at my local range (Joliet Archery Club) with some exceptional company!
Managed to shoot my 130# self-hickory ELB for the entire afternoon!
Not to warbow poundage yet, but getting there. Got to bring my stuff to work this week.
Thanks, Tim! Enjoy
