What kind of professionalism is this?
It's so ignorant that some of you idolize M&G by saying they're "good" writers when they treat their cast like this. This is the second time they've done this to Emma specifically.
The first time this happened, Jenna thought Emma knew about the body swap. Even Hunter had to prepare for months because he knew he was going to film an oiled-up scene. But Emma, who is a coprotagonist, doesn't know what she'll be doing at work in the coming months?
They should've been replaced by this point. But what's going on? Part of this fandom chooses to ignore this fact as long as they like the show's narrative, even if it harms the actors.
Honestly, this fandom is a huge disappointment.
Age of the Vampires
How old do vampires actually get in Nevermore, and can they die?
Yoko, for example, is in a relationship with Divina—the siren. However, as a siren, Divina continues to age, while Yoko remains frozen at her current age.
Could someone perhaps explain this to me?
Wednesday blinked
Okay, I know this post is so stupid. But I heard everyone saying how she "never blinks" in the show, well I found a scene that she does.
Season one, episode one, titled "Wednesday's Child Is Full of Woe", she goes to meet her new therapist and blah blah blah. At 31 minutes and 24 seconds you can see her blink.
I cant pause directly on it due to my bad reaction speed but it is as clear as day.
What's your favorite shot? Mine is this one
Enid being lit up by the full moon with Wednesday engulfed in the balcony is just perfect
ms capri ??
does anyone else just like… not trust miss capri?? but i feel like at the same time it would be such a boring plot twist if she was yet another evil woman trying to conspire against someone or something idk
Why is a victim of grooming and abuse so objectified? (Not to mention the "Tyler is a victim of Thornill's SA" theory.)
First of all, Hunter is an extremely attractive actor, and no one in their right mind would deny that... but why all the effort to make a 16/17-year-old boy so attractive in that "way"?
Let's remember that he's still a victim of grooming, it's not a matter of "he can't be attractive," but rather that when it comes to Tyler, marketing (and quite a few fans) refers to him in very... weird terms.
Aside from the fact that I find it pretty grotesque by default, but... if it's true that the character is somehow tragically abused, why doesn't even the marketing take it seriously?
For now, all we know is that he was groomed, and that's it, and seeing how Gough and Millar handled a similar topic in Smallville (Clark abused by a girl who used kryptonite to weaken him and have non-consensual sex with him), i can't imagine how they'd ever address that topic in Wednesday.
Generally, the character is also considered a sex symbol (the cage scene with Tyler with his abs exposed is really weird), and Netflix's marketing even emphasizes this.
What sense would there be in taking an "abused" character and turning him into this sort of hot character that makes some viewers drool?
Because, marketing aside, Tyler has become a symbol of sexiness among the public, too, and it would disgust me to think that a grooming victim (and, as a fanon, a victim of SA) is being called something that tends toward the erotic.
And let's be clear, this isn't referring to fanon, but exclusively to the "confirmed" stuff and the fact that quite a few fans claim the SA stuff about Tyler is real.
Which, we repeat, is not true, but it would be even more serious if it were, given how lightly, between marketing and series, the topic of abuse is treated (lightly and with little respect, at least for me).
I also find it very counterproductive to parrot that "Tyler is a victim of abuse by Thornill etc." then have no problem pointing out how hot the boy's abs are.
Grooming is already a pretty heavy topic, especially for the series' target audience, i don't think it would help the cause to add, in a very grotesque way, the stuff about Tyler being a victim of sexual abuse.
P.S.
I want to point out that being attractive isn't a fault, but I repeat, the problem arises when a character with such a heavy background is almost exclusively labeled as "the sexy one," in a rather grotesque manner.
Mystery Minis falling Over
hello i was wondering if anyone else was buying the Funko mystery minis and having trouble getting them to stand upright - they keep falling over when i so much as breathe their way - especially Wednesday in her Rave'N dress. As far as I'm aware they don't come with bases. What's your solutions?
