Drones Set To Patrol West Hollywood Skies

Drones Set To Patrol West Hollywood Skies

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station is launching a one-year Drone as First Responder pilot program. The $750,000 program is expected to begin by late July and will allow drones to give deputies real-time aerial information during incidents. Officials said the drones will not use facial recognition, carry weapons, or randomly surveil residents.

What happened to WeHo nightlife?

Might get political but why is weho so dead? I haven't been out to a club since March this year but before the current administration Thursday-Sunday Weho was busyyy now not only Weho but i have noticed the streets are not that packed.

My friends and I recently went to mickeys yesterday for latin night and it was dead from 9-12 we went to revolver after and didn't know madonna released a new album and there was a listening party it was the only decent size packed club even fiesta cantina and hi tops were dead and the newly rebranded Matties/Rocco's dead!

2024/early 2025 clubs were still packed etc but even the usually busy beaches tropicana was dead for their black pride there is no way strippers are making bank at this point. Made me honestly concerned and grateful my grocery store job has been consistent.

What are your thoughts? Is it just me?

WeHo Bistro Now Home To The Late Show Sign

Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” sign has found a new home in West Hollywood after his 11-year run as host ended. WeHo Bistro owner Jeff Douek acquired the sign, which once hung outside New York City’s Ed Sullivan Theater, after it was auctioned to benefit World Central Kitchen. The sign is currently on the rooftop of WeHo Bistro at 1040 N. La Cienega Boulevard and is expected to later be displayed inside the restaurant.

Huge Boom - Near Havenhurst Dr

Anyone know what that massive boom was just now in WeHo near Havenhurst Dr and Norton?

At first I thought it was a firework, but the sound seemed more like a transformer blowing up.

Rooster Crowing Reporting

Hey all, I googled this and I'm gonna be honest I'm still not 100% sure the correct place to report this. It seems like roosters over a certain age are not allowed in West Hollywood and in the county must be a certain distance from other buildings with amenities. There's an apartment that has a rooster and I don't know the age but there's no way it meets the distance requirements. It has been crowing ALL DAY for multiple days. Where do I report it? One site didn't seem to have an option that applies. I'm just unsure where the jurisdiction is to find proper reporting.

Love people having chickens and stuff but the noise is nonstop and I partially work from home.

Thanks!

best hotels in west hollywood??

staying in west hollywood mid july for 4 night 5 days. it’s gonna be me and my mom and we have zero clue where to stay as first timers. no preference as far as specifics of hotels, we don’t care for a pool or breakfast. We’ve heard west hollywood is the safest option that’s near things but open to other recommendations. (aswell as modes of transportations)

Places to dispose of needles safely?

There used to be a drop box at the Sheriffs station but that’s no longer there. Can anyone recommend an alternative?

WARNING: Safety Hazard & Data Privacy Evasion at Bristol Farms West Hollywood (Store #9039)

Hey LA community, especially those who shop at the Bristol Farms flagship on Beverly Blvd in West Hollywood. I am an independent contractor, and I am issuing a formal warning regarding a major safety and data protection hazard at this location.
As you can see from my attached receipt, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at exactly 8:03 AM, I completed a routine $132.55 purchase at Register 4. Because I neutrally replied "OK" and refused to submit to an unsolicited verbal lecture from a grocery shelf-stocker named Ralph on the sales floor, he escalated the situation into a personal vendetta. He abandoned his post, stalked me from Aisle 1 down to Register 4, and pursued me out into the parking lot.
While I was loading my car, I turned around to find him amubshing my vehicle, aggressively threatening me, and recording my face and private car data on his UNMANAGED PERSONAL CELL PHONE DEVICE. He explicitly declared his intent to ruin my professional livelihood, shouting that he would report this to his supervisors so I would be banned, and directly threatened: "I will report this to your company so you lose your job."
I contacted corporate risk management, demanding a routine, standard compliance verification that this unauthorized video taken on a rogue employee’s personal phone had been deleted under HR supervision to prevent digital leaks or public social media defamation.
Yesterday, Vice President Lynn Melillo sent me a formal corporate refusal. Instead of forcing the employee to purge the data from his private camera roll and cloud backups, Bristol Farms chose to completely SWAP DEFINITIONS. They intentionally hid behind building camera codes, claimed consumers have "no expectation of privacy in a commercial parking lot," and explicitly stated the following in writing:
"Mr. Le, We do wish to close this matter out as well but needed to address with you that although we had a discussion with our employee we did not verify your claim that severe misconduct was committed by our employee. We are unable to destroy the camera footage captured for the investigation of your claim. Please understand that we can and do record video in store areas accessible to the general public, including the sales floor and parking lot, which is allowable in California as these are not considered private areas or where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy. We do this for the protection of our business and legal interests, customers, employees and others visiting the store in accordance with applicable law, and we retain any such video in accordance with our retention policy and applicable law."
Bristol Farms West Hollywood is officially confirming they are actively harboring and archiving unauthorized video assets harvested by a hostile employee on a personal mobile device on company time.
If you value your privacy, your biometric data, and your safety while loading your car in West Hollywood, stop feeding this store your money. I am enforcing a lifetime boycott. Stay safe out there.
(Note to Mods: I hold the official enterprise email header from @goodfoodholdings.com for verification if required).

What's the real tea here? (If any)

(Canadian spectator here w no prior jackass lore)...Is buzzfeed leading the witness here? What's the correlation between a stunt gone wrong and WeHo pride? Was it that they (jackass) were banned from WeHo entirely and they're now choosing to enter formerly banned spaces just to attend pride?
