Advice - moving to Times Square
Just accepted a new role in East New York and want to live in Times Square under a few conditions.
- Must having free parking for Bus. Just got the bus today as I couldn’t afford a car. Will be using this for commute.
- Within 5 minute commute to East New York
- No noise
- No Crime
- Cigar lounge within 5 minutes
- Luxury building with view of Central Park + Balcony
- Gym in building. Dumbbells must go over 160.
- 1BR under $1.5K. Will go to $1.6K if required.
- Gas station within 2 minutes.
If anyone has some apartment complex/areas suited for my needs, let me know. Also want to clarify - I will NOT go over $1.6K. Don’t come to me with apartments for $1,601 or more.
Why would anyone in their right mind generally prefer LA over NYC?
NYC is walkable, has more people, more culture, and Times Square. Not to mention Central Park. No disrespect to my California brethren but you guys need a revamp.
Sabor A Mexico II 77th st - rude owner/scammer
I went there months ago for happy hour and was overcharged by $30+ because they didn’t include happy hour prices. I asked to read the receipt because she added everything in a calculator and charged me. After I asked her, she told me to sit down and it’s the right price. She then wrote it down on paper I couldn’t read a thing. Ended up paying, walked out and didn’t leave a tip.
My gf went back yesterday and got charged for sour cream. They also forgot her drink and charged her. She told the lady/owner and she wouldn’t take it off. My gf just paid, left a $0 tip and the lady said it’s customary to leave a tip. My gf said it’s because the service was awful and messed her order up. The lady said if it’s so bad you wouldn’t continue to come back and said not to sit in the restaurant and order takeout next time.
DO NOT GO HERE
Anyone else see that person screaming on 74th and 2nd?
Looked she was about to hit some innocent dude trying to walk away minding his own business. Then proceeded to follow another guy. Also saw another girl in the same area around 5 pm punching the wall.
Job market that horrible???
cpa with 2 and half years at b4 in audit, a year and 7 months working as a senior accountant for a big entertainment company. All in NYC. My total comp is just under 6 figures. I’ve been applying and interviewing for months to even get back into public, other senior accountant roles $110k plus etc. seems like my interviews are going well. I either don’t hear back from recruiters or my interviews go great imo and I get rejected. WHATS GOING ONNN
