What's this instrument?

I've been in love with that plucky bell sound in this beat. You can hear it really clearly in the beginning. At first I thought it was a kalimba, but I don't think it is, so I need your help.

[TOMT][Drum Machine Noise] I'm trying to find this specific snare sound, and what machine it comes from.

https://voca.ro/1jc06ZIHXXgA - Link to a 1 second sample of the sound I'm looking for, might be a snare or a tom

This specific snare is used on songs like Cats on Mars from Cowboy Bebop and Zoloft by Ween (where this clip is from). I'm 90% sure it's from a drum machine, but it's a separate one from the ones Ween usually uses on their records. Any help would be appreciated, I've already checked the Suzuki Onnichord and the sound is not there. Thank you!

Great Grandpa's Euphonium? But smaller

Today's was my great grandpa's. Tiny mouthpiece. Small size, I played trombone and fiddled on a euphonium in high school, this is Tiny in comparison. Mouthpieve is a bit smaller than a current trumpet even. Range higher than a normal baritone/euphonium/trombone, closer to a trumpet, but cant hit the same super highs (or at least I cant get them).

All valves move, and 2 slides move freely, and the others i bet would move with a little help if i become inclined. Seems to be solid, not plated.

Anyone have an idea of where to look for some info?

[TOMT] Help me identify the string instrument in this song

The song is the finale from this old movie called More Than a Miracle and it starts off with a string instrument that I can't identify. I know it's not a very popular film but would anyone know how to identify which instrument it is?

What instrument is this?

Hello. I heard this when I was on a walk. It sounds very aerie and cool to me and I would like to learn to play on this instrument. It is probably recorder but I dont know if it is soprano or alto or something else.

If the link dont work on reddit it probably needs to be opened in browser, hopefully it will work there.

Thanks for your answers and have a nice day

Any idea what this sound is?

I've been hearing this instrument a lot when listening to dmv crank and I want to use this instrument on some of my beats, but I can't find anything on where it came from.

What are these instruments? (1966)

Hello everyone. I'm trying to identify the make/model of the instruments being used in this picture. This is my dad's very first band in 1966. He's the one playing bass and singing up front. Obviously the Fender amp is on the right but not sure what kind.
Any ideas for the guitars/bass/drums/mics?
Thanks!

What is this string sound?

Hi everyone, I recently came across a recording while trying to identify a string sound that feels expressive and layered in texture and I cannot figure out what instrument is used. At first I thought it might be violin but the tone feels more processed or blended with something else. I have been listening closely and it seems like there is sustained bow movement with subtle modulation that could suggest layered strings slight detuning or a hybrid synthesis approach rather than a single acoustic source. I am trying to understand whether this is mostly about performance technique recording setup or post processing. I am also curious how common it is to combine real string recordings with digital layers to achieve this kind of texture in modern production. I would appreciate insights from musicians or producers who can break down what is most likely happening here and how I could replicate it in a simple way for my own projects. I think the sound might be a processed violin layer or multi tracked strings. But I am not sure and would like to understand it better from a technical perspective I can try to recreate something similar in my own work?
