Candice Michelle vs. Melina

Date: March 19, 2007

Promotion: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

Match Stipulation / Type: Bra and Panties Match

Event: WWE Monday Night RAW (Episode 721)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana | Conseco Fieldhouse

➜ The object of the match was to strip your opponent down to their bra and panties to win. There were exactly 33 officially recognized "bra and panties" matches held in WWE over a 9-year span during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. One match was held with the WWF Women's Championship on the line.

This match in particular was the end of an era, as it was the final official Bra and Panties match in WWE history. It took place on the March 19, 2007, episode of Monday Night Raw. It was an impromptu match that featured appearances by Ashley, The Great Khali & Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Prior to the match, Melina said she didn’t pose in Playboy because it was beneath her. She claimed Playboy begged her, but she turned them down. Candice then said the following:

“From what I hear, you don’t turn much of anything down. And you’ve been beneath every single guy in that locker room.”

Because WWE transitioned into a PG (parental guidance) TV-rating model shortly after this, the stipulation was retired. It remains a distinct relic of the company's Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras.

“Michaels Just Superkicked da Hell Outta Hogan” — Jim Ross

Date: July 4, 2005

Promotion: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

Match Stipulation / Type: Tag Team Match

Event: Monday Night RAW (Episode 632)

Location: Sacramento, California | ARCO Arena

➜ The July 4, 2005, episode of Monday Night Raw ending with the shocking moment where Shawn Michaels turned on Hulk Hogan, delivering a Sweet Chin Music superkick to Hogan. This iconic segment occurred after their tag-team match against Kurt Angle and Carlito.

This would lead to the infamous match between the two at SummerSlam where Shawn Michaels deliberately oversold Hulk Hogan's offense as a form of protest. He was frustrated because Hogan had initially agreed to a three-match feud where they would trade victories, but Hogan later changed the plans to a single match so he wouldn't have to put Michaels over.

Feeling that Hogan was using backstage politics to avoid losing, Michaels decided to make light of the situation. During their match, Michaels took wildly exaggerated, cartoonish bumps for Hogan's moves—most notably Hogan's signature Big Boot and running leg drop—turning the physical performance into a hilarious spectacle that many saw as a way to mock Hogan's limited and slow in-ring capabilities at that stage in his career.

Don't you think Edge and Christian also deserve a World title run in Aew before they retire ?

How come all these Top Ex WWE guys were Aew World champion but not Edge and Christian yet. Do you think Tony Khan would give them a World title run each when they break up as a tag team or before they retire?

The American Badass 🇺🇸

Triple H (with Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, and Mr. McMahon) vs. The Rock (c)

Date: May 21, 2000

Promotion: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

Match Stipulation / Type: WWF Championship / 60-minute Iron Man Match

Event: Judgement Day

Location: Louisville, Kentucky | Freedom Hall

➜ The Undertaker debuted his "American Badass" biker persona at the WWF Judgment Day pay-per-view. Riding a motorcycle to the ring to the tune of Kid Rock's "American Badass", the transformation marked a major pivot for Mark Calaway, allowing him to modernize his character.

Instead of his traditional trench coats and urns, he emerged sporting a bandana, sunglasses, and leather gear. He would often incorporate his patriotism into the gimmick as well. The biker gimmick remained a staple of his WWE career until 2004, when he resurrected his Deadman persona.

"Hannibal" Devon Nicholson posts a video wishing death upon 85-year-old Abdullah the Butcher, congratulates self as "#1 HEEL IN WRESTLING" after it got a lot of views & negative comments.

>23K hit's in 12hours and comments full of HEAT this is why I'm the #1 HEEL IN WRESTLING still without even having to wrestle until I take on 3 time WWE Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas in Thunder Bay Aug 29th on the Vampiro Retirement show!

- Facebook repost

I can appreciate a good, controversial heel promo. But this isn't good... it's AWFUL!

Wouldn't it be a lot worse if Abdullah didn't die "very soon?" Abdullah's 85 + was obese his entire life... he can't be feeling too great nowadays. A better heel would've wished him 10 more years alive.

Plus those comments he's happy about are calling him "Temu Taskmaster" among other things...

But hey, Hannibal tries for cheap internet hits and he got them this time.

Why do people never say Tony Khan should step down as booker?

Since i was on forums back in the late 90s i've seen numerous posts about how vince mcmahon is out of touch and should step down. I saw posts about vince russo and jeff jarrett being rubbish at TNA and needing to step down.

I now see tons of people tweeting or posting about HHH needing to step aside as WWE is stale etc and creative isn't good.

Yet I never see any comments about Tony Khan needing to step aside from creative to give AEW a boost? yet the ratings are fairly low currently? surely the measurable of the success of a companies creativity is ratings or live attendance? Yet aew is flat for both.

WWE is coming down from a boom quite obviously but is still bigger in both ratings and attendance than AEW. So why does HHH get the posts about stepping down but Tony Khan is given a free pass?

Especially odd because Tony khan has no history in the wrestling industry except running an e fed as a teenager and having access to his fathers wealth.

I genuinely want to know why no one ever even discusses the concept of tony khan giving the creative role to someone else in a hope for a refresh for AEW and higher ratings/attendances etc.
