I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered an XPENG G6 Long Range through my work's salary sacrifice scheme.

Delivery is still a little way off, but I'm genuinely excited now.

I popped into the dealership today for another look before signing everything off, and one thing that really surprised me was how much better it looks in person. The photos and brochure really don't do it justice. It's a much nicer looking car than I'd expected, and the interior felt really premium too.

It'll be my first EV, so it's going to be a bit of a learning curve. Looking forward to the quieter drive and all the tech.

Any tips from current G6 owners while I'm waiting for delivery? Anything you wish you'd known on day one?

Hi, I´m interested to know, what kind of people buy Xpeng cars in China.

(Bankers, office people, people in government jobs, ?)

If you buy a X9 in China it will cost you around 45k $ that is around 30k $ Less than in Europe.

I know about the stupid tarrifs but was wondering if that Price in China is cheap and if a normal Office person could afford such a car or do you have to be kind of rich?

In Europe the X9 compared to other MPVs is a great deal but it´s still 77k €.

Have anyone received the 5.9.5 update on their P7+? I see people on G6 have gotten this update.

Looking for some advice from anyone who's owned or driven both.

I'm torn between the BYD Seal Excellence and the Xpeng G6 Long Range, and just can't decide.

My usage is mostly:

* Charging at home

* Around a 30 mile daily round trip commute, mainly motorway and dual carriageway

* A few longer trips each year from the North West down to Cornwall (around 350 miles), so I know I'll need to stop to charge on those journeys.

I think I prefer the look of the Seal, and from what I've seen it seems to be the better driver's car. On the other hand, the G6 appears to have better tech, faster charging and a bit more practicality.

For those who have experience with either, or ideally both:

* Which would you choose and why?

* Is there anything you've found after living with one that isn't obvious from a test drive or YouTube review?

* Any regrets?

I just bought an Xpeng G6 standard range, that I'm set to receive 3 weeks from now!
I'm super excited to get the car, but today I've been reading how Xpeng is about to release a the new L03 in Europe soon.
As I understand it I can essentially get a car that can drive longer and is fully compatible with the upcoming VLA 2.0 once it becomes legal in Europe, which the G6 is not.

So yeah.. Now I'm wondering if I bought the G6 at a really bad time?
Just wanted to hear peoples thoughts.

Anyone faced wireless phone charging issues post the XOS 5.9.5 update? We are based in Germany and have a G6 LR 2025 and the update completed yesterday. Post that the wireless phone charging (driver and passenger side) doesn't work. A pop-up message comes every stating 'foreign metallic object should be removed'.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m in anything that improves comfort, protection, storage, or the overall ownership experience. For example:

Floor mats
Trunk/frunk organizers
Screen protectors
Center console organizers
Phone mounts
Sunshades
Charging accessories

Any hidden gems you think every G6 owner should have.

I’d also love to hear about accessories you bought but wouldn’t recommend, so I can avoid wasting money.

If possible, I’d appreciate links or photos of the accessories you’re using.

I‘m looking to get an EV have been very impressed by the P7+ and G6. The prices for the cars are also very good but the insurance cost is insane.
The P7+ would cost around 4500€ per year. For that kind of money, you could insure 2 BMW i4s.
The G6 is slightly better but still very expensive.

Can anyone give any advice on how to get an Xpeng insured for a more normal Price?

It seems like the newest 5.9.5 OTA it seems like loads of features are not being developed for 2023/2024 model years. What’s everyone’s opinions on this?

For example:
- No full One Pedal Drive (Only new G6/X9 etc)
- No Google based searching on the navigation

I’m personally a bit disappointed that the 2023/2024 is already getting left behind. I know there’s loads of different opinions on Teslas but atleast they still get new features several years later.

Sometimes you have to test the system in almost impossible situations. The APA performed quite well, although you do need a bit of patience at times.
I’ll also be running some tests in more typical, everyday situations.
If there’s anything you’d like me to test, just let me know.

I wanted to ask how the automation on XCOMBO works, when i add an automation (for example a recommended one) it says the car needs an active internet connection to "sync".
I waited a day and even drived with the car, but the automation is not "active" at least it does nothing.
How I make sure the automation does work?
Also, the "start" button for the automation is just if you want to trigger it manually, right?

My car recently updated to version 5.9.5, and I've been trying to create an XCombo to automatically control Sentry Mode based on my location.

What I want is:

- When I arrive home: Sentry Mode should automatically turn off.

- When I'm away from home: Sentry Mode should automatically turn on.

I've tried creating a few XCombos myself, but they don't seem to work correctly. Sentry Mode always ends up turning on, so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if my logic is incorrect.

Would anyone be willing to share a working XCombo for this? A screenshot or step-by-step setup would be greatly appreciated.
