This is my first post here and I want to make it so u guys can try this before next patch changes, i recently started playing zeri again I'm currently D3 with 59% wr on Zeri, I discovered this build searching for the most common build in KR after trying Hexoptics and Stormrazor for days, they are good items but this build path feels better imo, also take in consideration your power spikes if u want to give it a go, lvl 1 if u have a good supp u can almost out dmg any other adc, if u don't get an advantage first 3 lvls wait for Hexplate, then your next power spike is IE. For the runes I used Coachless looking at the WPA.

Sleeper strong?

I think Zeri this patch is in a very good spot!! I haven’t played her for a long time and decided to test her out. So far I have been having a lot of success! :D how is everyone else doing this patch?

hexplate got nerfed for ranged users

so the idea was to make it more available for other champions and they revered those changes and now it’s nerfed for ranged user. 35% attack speed and 14%ms. Guess it’s not gonna be bought anymore on zeri 😢

I'm relapsing this f**king game again....

I have 384k mastery with the electric queen, but I haven't played in months, and swapped roles to jungle for a bit. I'm coming back after watching League of Legends getting a lot of attention, and going back to my roots as ADC. Need a little help re-familiarizing myself with item builds, support synergy, playing team fights, etc. Here's what I researched so far.

I plan on picking Zeri every time, but if banned I'll take Jinx with enchanter or Lucian with engage or Nami. No idea what to pick with mage poke 🫤 (Caitlyn?).

Runes: PTA, triumph, alacrity/bloodline, cutdown

Secondary - Cash back and triple or boots + biscuits vs poke.

Items: Primary core build - Stormrazer > PD/fiend > IE

Secondary core build - Yuntal > IE > runnan if 3 melee/fiend

Situational - LW vs armor/Shieldbow vs burst / mortal for anti heal / GA if fed

Good supports to pair - Lulu, Yuumi, Sona

Bad supports - any poke mage (lux, vel, etc)

Excited to pilot Zeri again! Any advice, tips, or adjustments to builds would be super helpful 👍

How are we feeling power wise? Do you think she could use another buff?

Zeri is sitting at ~49.5% Dia+ from the 46-47% she was last patch, which for her is a fairly balanced state but definitely not meta. She feels ok in my level of play and I win games without issue, the Q base damage buff definitely helped. No one is building Static anymore so her win rate is not likely a build issue anymore. Hard to say exactly how much that shifted her win rate vs the buff itself.

That said, if it was August's intention to put her back in the spotlight a little I don't think that has been achieved quite yet. Its been a while since she was a prominent pick and with these changes she still isn't going to be after these 2 patches which I think artificially bumped her pick rate up because she was mentioned. She is really close to being in a state id like to have her in she just needs a tiny bit more but she isn't in the patch notes. I think a +5 base MS buff to revert the long ago change would be the perfect thing to push her in the direction they want.

Again I don't think shes bad at all right now but AUGUST IF YOURE READING THIS maybe just another tiny bump would be good. I get if they want to just let her sit at 49 because its not a terrible spot for her to be in. It seems like the mini rework was intended to be a power neutral shift though and she was at like 51% before.

What do yall think?

EDIT: glad to see everyone is pretty happy with where she is. For the most part I am too. I love kiting out fights again. If you get to a few stacks of r you really feel the old zeri. It's great.

Help Learning Zeri

Hey all,

I’ve recently started to pick up Zeri since her changes and I’ve been having a lot of fun with her kit. I have quite a few questions on how her kit should be used and I’m hoping y’all might be able to answer them. I play in High Diamond-Low Masters at the moment in case that’s relevant.

1.) The Passive

I understand the premise of the passive, I just don’t know the best effective use of it both in lane and out of lane.

While in lane am I supposed to act as if it’s a Caitlyn headshot/Jhin 4th shot? Trade every time it’s up for a brief trade and then escape? I generally run conqueror so ideally I’d like the trades to last long enough to get stacked.

Secondly, after using the fully stacked passive am I supposed keep weaving passive autos between every Q or am I supposed to let it stack again before using it? With conqueror I assume I should weave passive autos between Qs until it’s fully stacked and then stop and let it stack up again.

2.) Q - The Auto Attack

This ability seems pretty straightforward so I’m not sure if there’s much to say here. The only issue I’ve had is it seems miserable to use when your E passive isn’t active. If the enemy ADC is standing in a wave it seems like my only two options are to dash in aggressively(losing my safety tool and forcing me to commit) or to just accept that I’m unable to fight them and wait until the wave is trimmed down enough.

Paired with how much mana Zeris E costs it feels like she’s not expected to trade in lane because your trade windows are heavily dependent on wave state, more than many other adcs.

If there’s any hidden tech on her Q that I’m not aware of I would love to hear it! I’m curious if my understanding of the spell is correct or if I’m grossly simplifying it.

3.) W - The Slow

This spell seems to be the most baffling to me. It feels very bad to use when comparing it to its equivalent (Jinx W). I can obviously throw it directly at the enemy but it seems like the slow and damage just don’t exist until it’s maxed, which is seemingly last.

With that being said, am I supposed to predominantly throw it through walls because the normal laser is just that lackluster? It almost feels punishing to use when it’s not through a wall. If anyone could provide insight into the best uses for this spell I would really appreciate it. I find myself using it mid E through walls but end up missing it more often than not.

4.) E - The Dash

Insane mana costs early, long cooldown, easily punished. This seems like it’s the highest skill ability in her kit, which is insane considering her main damage output is a skill shot.

I don’t really have a problem with this ability in the laning phase since it’s usually just Engage/Disengage, but after lane I feel a bit lost on when I should be using it.

It seems like either I can use my dash to engage over walls, but once I do this I end up stuck in the middle of a brawl without any survivability. This leaves me purely using my dash for dodging necessary abilities or gap closing when a fight is over. Is this really the best use for the ability? It feels like the best use of the ability is legitimately not using it if possible. If they flash out and I don’t have E then I can kiss my ultimate speed goodbye unless it’s stacked enough already to catch up again. I’d like to understand how and when I should be using it.

5.) R - The Ultimate

For the most quintessential ability of her kit I don’t actually have many questions on this ability. It seems pretty straightforward so I’d appreciate if anyone has any additional knowledge on the ultimate that maybe I should be aware of when using it/keeping it active.

I don’t have any questions about her build or runes at the moment, just her abilities. I’m limit testing random builds/runes so I can probably figure out what feels best on those games.

Thank y’all in advance, I appreciate any and all responses!

Hexplate changes are good for us or not?

Experimental Hexplate change:

- Overdrive 50% attack speed changed to 30 AD

We already cap attack speed at 1.5 anyways so it should be better.

Does anyone else feel like they should change fiendhunter on zeri to not consume stacks if the Q doesn't hit any target (champion or minion/monsters)?

Every single champion in the game can't miss their auto attack, I feel like this would be a fair trade, no?

Why do so little ppl build fiendhunter?

Isnt it like one of the best items on zeri, it seems so perfect with her ult, but i see runaas being built way more

Dorans bow + hexoptics + PD

I feel like these two items are so strong, you hit the 1.5 cap with dorans bow, you don't need to wait for BF and your spike on two items feels insane. Am I missing something? The lack of AS early is a bit lackluster but I feel like dorans bow + R lets me auto alot anyways. I go IE or armor pen third and since I don't use up a crit item for SR or YT I get to build both ie and pen while still having hexoptics
