No realm is in good shape; not even Asgard is spared.
There is Midgard—a realm with a cold climate where cannibals and the undead roam, and where beings from other realms sometimes show up to cause trouble, making an already dangerous place even worse.
Then there is Svartalfheim: a place teeming with disgusting toads, a neglected economy, and a foul stench in the air. In
Muspelheim: watch out or you’ll burn the moment you arrive the heat is extreme while
Niflheim: offers extreme cold and an area filled with toxic air.
Alfheim is possibly one of the worst; armies of elves are constantly fighting, and you’d best not even think about entering Freyr’s temple.
Helheim: i need explaind?
Vanaheim: where do I even begin? There are poisonous plants, venomous creatures that attack you, *Drekis* everywhere, a dragon infestation, and no clean water.
And finally Asgard: the realm where domestic violence is an everyday occurrence.
I loved *Arcane*, and there are many characters I’d like to see get their own series—Zeri is definitely one of my favorites. Unfortunately, you can't really trust Netflix. 😢 But hey, what kind of origin story and personality would you like her to have?
I don't know about you, but Odin's palace reminds me a lot of those wooden restaurants that serve great steak. Personally, it's a place I'd love to live; it's full of details, and whenever I play the Asgard section with Atreus, I always explore it. In my opinion, it would be a beautiful place to live—if the owner weren't a psychopath.
These bosses can be a real pain, but overall I'm surprised they have a more varied arsenal than the Valkyries. Like the Berserker Duo and the Berserker Trio, their designs are fantastic; they're strange, not intimidating, I'd say mysterious.
Although I always wonder why they have godlike strength? It seems ironic that they're the complete opposite of the Valkyries. They aren't honorable warriors or kind-hearted protectors of the dead,
they're despicable monsters with a great thirst for power, destroying everything they touch.
I previously believed it wasn't the same being, since in the Two Thrones series, this being wasn't created until the prince's blood touched the sands. But why does it appear at the end of the second game?
Honestly, what happened to that man is tragic. And honestly, he completely bought into the hype from the most nostalgic God of War fans who live in the past and say that modern God of War looks like Marvel, and now Jaffe only makes a living by badmouthing the place he once came from.
Why? Apparently, David Jaffe forgot to have someone to keep him grounded, because the most visionary and brilliant minds should always have someone to remind them of the real world from time to time. When David opened his own studio, he didn't have anyone like that. And he decided to stick with the irritating public, which is why Drawn to Dead is what it is: a game with a lot of vision, but empty and stupid. The reason God of War 1 has a good story isn't because David Jaffe wrote it; it was written by Marianne Krawczyk. If you watch the documentary about how the first God of War was made, you'll notice that every time Jaffe appears, he just says, "Oh yeah, it has a lot of gore and the adrenaline is brutal!" They put someone on to explain how Kratos was designed, and then Jaffe just says, "Oh yeah! It's brutal! Focus on the blood!" Apparently, his colleagues at Santa Monica brought him down from the sky many times.
Drawn to Dead made absolutely no impact; its impact was so small that even those little lizards, those leeches, who hate the new God of War and complain about stupid things like Odin's way of speaking, don't know that game exists. They don't care about Jaffe's ideas. If they really wanted to value Jaffe's opinions, they'd be asking for another game from him instead of talking trash about Santa Monica's new work with Laufey. As of today, in September 2026, you see annoying fans begging for the classic (ESSENCE) of God of War, and Santa Monica is pandering to them with remakes. They need Laufey's project to succeed so they can give them the God of War remake.
These guys base their opinions on someone frustrated like Jaffe. They don't really care about Jaffe; they only care about the cult they've built on nostalgia. Because if they truly cared about Jaffe's opinions, they'd be begging for a new game from him. But instead, Jaffe is currently begging for attention on Twitter and using AI in his YouTube thumbnails.
I was fighting so well, but he still beat me. Seriously, what kind of amazing AI does this boss have? I've never seen anything like it. It's like he can predict your next move, and the bastard corners you so much. Plus, the Allfather theme must be a really captivating soundtrack. But yeah, in my opinion, this fight delivers.
Something caught my attention when I saw a review of the first Iron Man movie. The guy said that Iron Man wasn't that popular back then. But my dad knew about this character even before the MCU. He mentioned that his cartoons were very popular, he even appeared in fighting video games, and he went to many cartoon exhibitions. Iron Man was always present at superhero shows.
I've read every detail of this beta draft of the Sands of Time saga and yes... it could have been better, but I don't know, I don't know if it helps that I enjoyed The Two Thrones without being aware of Kindre Blades...

So far I've only played God of War: Ragnarok, 2018, and God of War 3. But even with just those games, I've noticed that none of the gods are having a good time being one. It seems that being a god is more of a sentence of suffering. But why is this? Why can't any god live a life without problems? Is it really their nature? Or is there something in their behavior that they're ignoring? And for some reason, I realized that some gods think they're having a good time being those beings, but they're still living miserable lives.

But generally speaking, I'd say Odin isn't one of those characters presented as a super genius; they literally tell you he's just cunning and resourceful, but not a super genius.
There's a difference between having knowledge and being wise, and Odin has no wisdom whatsoever. But I would say that cunning was his greatest virtue.
I don't know about you, but telling someone to read online reviews before buying a game is the worst advice you can give. Seriously, everything on the internet is bad; they never like anything and always have to overanalyze everything so they can criticize it.
The graphics do help somewhat, but the more I think about it, the more it's the art design that makes it stand out and feel unique. Each kingdom, created by the developers, for example, feels different and is easy to identify when you need to distinguish them.
Playing both games, something changed in Ragnarok's gameplay philosophy. It's very aggressive.
The axe gameplay has almost the same elements as God of War 2018, and they added some new ones that are worth learning. Some are simpler, but the Blades of Chaos in Ragnarok are completely different and incredibly fast. Comboting with the blades and the spear is the perfect combination. When you create a tornado with the spear and the enemy is floating, it's the perfect moment to burn them with the blades.
The spear is undoubtedly one of the most strategic and intelligent weapons you can use. In God of War 2018, the Dark Elves and Soul Eaters were too difficult to fight. The Spear of Draupnir definitely makes these fights more enjoyable and strategic. Whenever you're fighting Soul Eaters and elves, the spear is the best option.
And Rage is undoubtedly the best rage mode; it's impressively good.
I came across that video that said they wished Norse storytelling was on par with the Greek saga. I stopped watching when they said that. If you stop looking at things with nostalgia, you'll realize that the most decent in terms of storytelling was God of War 1. Saying that God of War 2 or 3 are better than God of War 2018 and Ragnarok seems way too nostalgic to me.
