The only picture ever taken of a concord flying at mach 2 (1985)

"According to the photo description (available on ConcordePhotos.com), the dramatic picture in this post features ‘Concorde G-BOAG flying at supersonic speed and is the only picture ever taken of Concorde flying at Mach 2, 1350 mph. This unique image was taken from a Tornado fighter jet, which rendezvoused with Concorde for just four minutes over the Irish Sea in April 1985. The RAF Tornado, rapidly running out of fuel, was struggling to keep up with Concorde. Cruising at Mach 2, Concorde stretches six inches from her normal 204ft length. Due to the heating of the airframe, she reaches 127 °C at the nose and trailing edges but the special ‘high-reflectivity’ white paint helps reflect and radiate heat.’ "

Can you still buy airplne models like this one?

I'm looking for an occupation for my brother so he doesn't scroll all day on his phone so I figured I'd buy an ariplane model he can build and construct but I can't seem to find any online. Does anyone know if they still make them like this? Here is the reference from the Stardust video: https://youtu.be/FQlAEiCb8m0?si=g3QIevYYtLFUBziF

Newbie Q

Hey newbie here. Saw this plane outside Chicago and noticed it doesn’t have tail numbers. What kinds of planes can do that? Is it government?

Boeing 777-300ER

Can anyone tell me what these two seats are (rows 51-55), and why there is a space between them? My partner and I are trying to figure out what seats to book. She likes window seats and I like the aisle so this seems like the perfect fit but worrying there's something uncomfortable between them.

Also any other tips or tricks for these flights would be greatly appreciated. Flying Dublin to Sydney through Abu Dhabi. The AUH to SYD plane is an Airbus A350-1000.

I built a free extension to bridge LiveATC archive audio with ADSB Exchange replays and FlightAware route information.

I spend a lot of time listening to LiveATC archives, and it's insanely satisfying for me to figure out mumbled waypoints, obscure local airfields, or aircraft models that I can't catch from the audio alone. I built an extension that fetches from flightaware and other databases to speed the research up. It uses free sources so isn't monetized in any way.

How it works:

Open a LiveATC archive audio clip and click the extension to pull the date, time, and airport directly from the filename.

Click 'ADSB' to launch the exact ADSB Exchange radar replay for that specific timestamp and airport. Select an aircraft on the map to instantly populate its callsign into Froyo (or type it in directly if you heard it clearly).

Fetch to pull the full FlightAware IFR Route Analyzer path, registration info, and airframe history right into your sidebar or switch to a minimizable pop-out overlay.

Here's the Web Store and the Github. Thanks for checking it out!
