Hey, I’m 15dpo. Very early and aware due to PCOS that my chances of miscarrying are higher. I didn’t expect to take so quick. For some FAQ answers

I used “just a baby” to find donor. We are based in UK so donor has parental rights but has agreed to relinquish so partner can adopt (we are an lgbtq couple). My partner is is a stunning trans man. And donor is a lovely guy who just doesn’t want kids.

- We booked a hotel and inseminated on the day of my LH peak and the day after. We did twice on LH peak day and the next morning, which happened to be my partners birthday lol

- 9 days later I saw a small line on first response and the rest is history. Confirmed at hospital.
Now just leaving it to the planet

- Some things that were key for me was enjoying the insemination day. After we inseminated. All three of us went for walks, played ps4 in hotel (course we brought it along haha), sat in the sun, sang karaoke songs. It was lovely.

- I also didn’t expect to take so my lower expectations allowed me to feel less stress free
I used a syringe and no pre-seed (only adding coz everyone uses and I got stressed after realising how many people use and thought I messed up)

- First go: I had the big O as I told partner to push syringe in. Second go, big o after, next morning big o right before.

P.s getting a big o on command for me was draining and only thing I found stressful. It’s not a sexy thing very clinical but yeah have your toys on stand by x

Good luck to everyone. Whatever this journey is like for me I hope this was helpful for anyone who needed it x

It's been 2 weeks since I did at home insemination. Still no results.

I tried at home insemination a week ago with a turkey baster. My husband is a quadriplegic, so his sexual functions are limited because of his spinal cord injury. From what we know, he has some fertile sperm, but also some infertile sperm.

We collected some of his sperm to place it in the turkey baster. I followed the steps as I saw it on a Youtube video, and since then I've been waiting to get positive pregnancy results, but when I did my pregnancy test results yesterday, there was no sign of pregnancy. I did the home insemination on July 25th for context.

Is it that my husband has a problem with infertility or did I do something wrong when doing at home insemination?
