It's been 2 weeks since I did at home insemination. Still no results.

I tried at home insemination a week ago with a turkey baster. My husband is a quadriplegic, so his sexual functions are limited because of his spinal cord injury. From what we know, he has some fertile sperm, but also some infertile sperm.

We collected some of his sperm to place it in the turkey baster. I followed the steps as I saw it on a Youtube video, and since then I've been waiting to get positive pregnancy results, but when I did my pregnancy test results yesterday, there was no sign of pregnancy. I did the home insemination on July 25th for context.

Is it that my husband has a problem with infertility or did I do something wrong when doing at home insemination?

Looking to adopt with my disabled husband.

Hi. I 27F and my husband 28M want to become parents. We've tried conceiving naturally, but because my husband is a quadriplegic with a C7 spinal cord injury, his fertility is affected, so we can't conceive naturally, but we're trying methods. Since we're Christians, we've also considered the option of adopting children in need to raise them and give them happy lives.

We have a home of our own which we both afforded together and with a little help from our parents. Both of us have an independent income to fulfill our needs. My husband despite his disability is still mostly independent, I just help him with a few things such as transfers, but I'm sure he'd be a great dad. I also mention his disability because that could be a considering factor when we look to adopt.

We're looking for advice about what considerations we need to take as an interabled couple. We're open to adopting children of any age.

First attempt of home insemination with turkey baster. Hoping it works

Hi, I'm 27F new here.

After researching different fertilization methods with my husband 28M who's a C7 quadriplegic, we came across the home insemination method which is affordable and simple.

I'm on my ovulation days right now, so today we decided to try this. We collected a little of my husband's sperm and placed it in a turkey baster we recently bought. We didn't get much sperm from him, but we did get enough to fill a quarter of the turkey baster thanks to a vibrator called Feeticare 2.0 which we also recently bought, and has also been a blessing for us.

I watched some medical videos about how to place the turkey baster in my uterus, and followed the steps as I saw the medical professional on the video explain. I watched these 2 channels specifically, one called Mosie Baby and the other from a doctor called Lora Shahiane. I hope I did everything right with this method. We're yet to see any results.

My husband and I are praying this works. If not, we'll have to try again another time.

Is IVF anti-life?

Hi. Jist a quick question I have as a fellow pro-lifer.

I 27F am looking to have children with my husband 28M who's a C7 quadriplegic. Unfortunately because of my husband's spinal cord injury, his fertility is affected and he can't conceive naturally. We've been researching for different methods to conceive.

The first one we found is IVF which is a very known one and we saw some interabled couples in which the man has a spinal cord injury, who have used IVF to have children.

I didn't think IVF could be controversial as a pro-life Christian, but then I came across some videos claiming that IVF involves playing with embryos' lives because apparently some embryos get thrown away, and only few of them are used. This made me see IVF as something immoral that we shouldn't try.

Fortunately my husband and I have found other methods to try having children like turkey blaster insemination which is cheap and is just an assistance to conceive. But if that doesn't work, we'll have to try IUI. And the other option is IVF, but I'm morally questioning this method.

Hopefully, we can conceive with the turkey blaster home insemination and don't need to rely in other fertilization methods such as IVF which are also expensive.

My husband is quadriplegic and we're looking forward to start a family AMA.

Me(27F) and my husband(28M) have been married for 3 years now, soon to be 4 years married. We live together in our home we bought together and with a little of help from our parents. My husband is a quadriplegic due to a spinal cord injury he suffered over 14 years ago, so our relationship is somewhat different from other couples, but he's still a great partner.

We're looking to have children in the future, but it's complicated for us because my husband's spinal cord injury affects many parts of his body including his fertility. But we've been looking ways to try having children. We'd also like to adopt, but we personally want at least a child of our own.

How effective is home insemination for men with spinal cord injuries?

My husband is a C7 quadriplegic. He's 28 and has been like this for over 14 years.

We want to start a family, but unfortunately his spinal cord injury affects his fertility and we just can't conceive naturallym We're researching different methods, but many like IVF are expensive and we're skeptical of them.

We've come across this thing called home insemination and we're looking to trying. My husband can hardly ejaculate naturally, so he needs help with that as well. But we can try this method.

I'm looking for advice from men with spinal cord injuries or women with spinal cord injury partners who've managed to have children despite the complocations of a spinal cord injury.

Pray for me, so I can get pregnant by my husband with fertility issues.

My husband and I want to start a family. Unfortunately, he has fertility issues due to a spinal cord injury he's had since he was 13 and made him quadriplegic. We're 28 and 27, so we're looking to have children for the next decade.

We've tried to conceive naturally, but it just doesn't work for him because of the injury. We just started trying insemination at home which is cheap, but results are yet to come. If that doesn't work, we might try IUI, IVF or other methods which are expensive and may have complications.

My husband is my whole world to me. He's the perfect man for me. But I just wish he could get me pregnant. I know we can adopt and would be happy to do so, but I want to at least have a child of our own, and I want to be pregnant to have the privilege to create life inside me.

I can only pray a miracle happens and I can conceive naturally.

I feel like God doesn't want my husband and I to have children of our own.

I had made a post here the other week about IVF because it seems like it's impossible for my husband and I to conceive naturally since my husband's fertility is affected by his spinal cord injury on his C7 vertebrae. He's had that injury since he's 13, he's 28 now, so he's lived with that injury for quite a while.

I met my husband 8 years ago since we were in High School, and we've been married for over 3 years now. We got married because we loved each other, we had planned to have children in the future, but being together was our first priority. Now we want to have children since we feel ready, but we can't because my husband's spinal cord injury won't let me get pregnant. My husband is the perfect man for me, I love him so much, I wouldn't change him for anything else, but I just wish he could get me pregnant.

I've been praying to God to give us a miracle, but nothing has come yet. I feel like God doesn't want to answer my prayers or he has just planned that we won't have children of our own naturally. I sometimes wish Jesus could come and heal my husband from his spinal cord injury, so he can walk and have all his body functions as normal. But that's just how things are. I know there's a possibility he can still get me pregnant, so if only God could allow my husband to have his fertility functions, I'd be happy with that.

Maybe God wants us to adopt children in need which is something we're considering as Christians because we'd like provide orphan children a happy life. But I also want to get pregnant by my husband at least once in my life. I feel like I'd be wasting my life and body if I didn't ever get pregnant.

I want to have a child with my husband who's quadriplegic.

My husband 28M and I 27F want ro have children. Unfortunately my husband has fertility issues and his sexual functions are limited because he's a quadriplegic with a C7 injury. So no matter how much we try, it's just impossible to conceive naturally with his condition.

We're thinking that maybe we can try artificial insemination or IVF, but the prices of these methods are high and we also worry about disadvantages coming from these methods.

We could also adopt, and we'd be happy to provide a happy home to any children in need, but I also would like to get prenant from my husband at least once. I can only pray for a miracle that I can conceive naturally with my husband, but at this point it seems unlikely.

I love my husband, and he's the perfect man for me and wouldn't change him for anything. I know it's not his fault he can't conceive naturally, but I just wish he could. I don't know why any miracle hasn't come yet to help us.

The thought of never getting pregnant in my life makes me feel sad and anxious. I want to experience pregnancy. I feel like if I didn't get pregant ever in my life, I'd miss the opportunity to feel what it's like to create life. I don't want to miss that. I just wish my husband and I could have a child of our own naturally.

Is IVF morally correct? I feel like it's impossible to get pregnant naturally by my husband.

My husband 28M and I 27F are Christians. We want to be parents, but unfortunately we're not able to conceive naturally because my husband is a C7 quadriplegic, and this spinal cord injury affects a lot his reproductive system. We really want to have children, but it seems like God doesn't want us to have children even if we want to.

I'm thinking of having children by IVF, though I really don't know how what works. I'm pro-life, and did hear from other pro-life Christians online that IVF is just playing with the lives of children because of the multiple embryos that are created and can die. I'm not so sure, that's what I heard. I don't want to be guilty of an embryo failing and dying on an attempt of having a child.

We could also adopt to have our family, but as a woman, I really want to feel what it's like to be pregnant at least once in my life, and give birth to a child. I feel sad my husband is not able to impregnate me naturally. Not that I don't see my husband as perfect, but I want to at least have a child with him. I wish God could give me a chance for this to happen.

Would God be ok with me if we conceived by IVF?
