Dark Mount keyboard

Folks.

The good:

- Quiet. Very quiet. Silent keyboard. Peace and quiet all over the land.

- RGB. Very nicely done.

- HotKeys: A very cool feature being able to customize the images. Love the volume and multimedia buttons. Very cool stuff.

- Numpad: Love how you can attach it to either side.

The bad:

Double typing. I mean, wow. Its not like it happens once in a while. It keeps happening extremely often. It just types whatever characters it wants basically.

Also control+x/z The control key simply doesn't work. I have to press it hard and even then it doesn't mean it will actually work.

Your team created an amazing keyboard and then it took out in the back and shot it on its knees.

A complete letdown, especially if your work demands not to make any mistakes while typing, example configuring a network switch.

Horrible what could have otherwise been a top tier keyboard killer.

Horrible.

Rock base 600

Collaboration build with Be Quiet.

Introducing Dark Rock PRO 6, which offers a straightforward and minimalist design combined with incredible cooling performance.

Project built with the Dark Rock theme where I was really far from my comfort zone 😅

As some of you may know, I usually use wood in my builds but now was a good reason to try something new and different.

I'm used to precise measurements and cuts but now that I had to create a rock from scratch without them, there were a lot of challenges ahead but despite them the end result turned out really well even though this was my first time trying something like this 👌🏻

My experience with the PSU Be quiet! Power Zone 2 1000W 80+ Platinum ATX 3.1

My overall experience with this PSU is... very bad, I don't see how this PSU gets an A+ in Cybenetics when it comes to silence.. was it e deaf person who made the test?!

Coil whine, and loud.

Fan noice, the RMP ramps up real good, not a pleasant sound.. 0 to 2500RPM in one second.. each 5 min..

Hot and smelly electronic.. my throat hurts because of it..

Honestly, my old Corsair 750W bronze from 2017'ish is better. (I used that one while my Phantecs was on warranty errand.

My tip of the day, do not buy PSU from this tier and brand.

And this is a trade in PSU I got after my earlier 1200W Platinum from Phantec's had massive coild whine, I mean..wow.. that PSU could scream like some one was about to die as soon my PC came to load..

Is this something new with the new modern and smaller ATX PSU's? Like Quality fail from China? I heard European gets the Chinese crap in their components.

Yes, english aren't my native languish.

Cooler for 9600x? Dark rock slim sufficient?

Anyone tested if a dark rock slim is sufficient for a 9600x?

I know the dark rock slim has claims a tdp of 180w but that doesn’t seem realistic given the performance of other coolers the same size.

Two Dark Power 13s DOA?

Hey y’all,

I recently built a new pc and used a 750W Dark Power 13 as the PSU. Both that I received would not provide standby power to my motherboard and upon paperclip testing, the fan was not spinning. Is it a known issue for these to show up DOA or am I just insanely unlucky? I hear a slight sparking/crackling sound when I turn it on while paperclip testing. Also a part of the PSU appears to be potentially rattling around inside. Is there anything else I can test before I send my second one back? I am pretty sure everything else is working correctly, but I’d like to be sure it’s not a motherboard issue before I wait for another delivery.

Be quiet! Dark mount

Hi guys, I'm thinking of an upgrade, and this one would not be just a pocket change, so i would like to hear opinions on the Be Quiet! Dark Mount Tactile modular keyboard.

If anyone is using it, i would really like an honest opinion, no sugarcoating.

I find the concept of a modular keyboard really awesome, turning a 100% to 80% keyboard per need, with "steam deck"* and media controller, love it, i find this concept really interesting as you can modulate you board to suit your needs depending on situation.

However, as i saw that it is not cheap at all, i really expect it to last almost a lifetime.

So before i decide on buying i would really like an honest opinion, and if not recommended, what would be a viable substitute?

Can a cpu cooler tower obstruct VRM cooling?

Planning new build, but the cpu air cooler I had in mind kinda blocks the VRM heatsink.

It would just barely fit, only 1mm horizontal clearence between VRM heatsink and cooler tower.

One would think the air going through the cpu cooler tower would cool the VRM heatsink too but there is a 40mm gap under the cpu cooler heatsink, and the vrm heatsink is only 35mm tall. So it‘s not in the line of airflow from the cpu cooler.

Will this be a problem or not?

Where could this rubber Cube come from

This rubber Cube was stuck at the fan grill on my Straight Power 11. I found it while investigating why my pc shuts down when the PSU gets too hot. The cube blocked the fan in the PSU and I could just pull it out. Now my question is, where does it come from and is it an important support for something in the PSU?

Using Silent Wings 3 from AIO as case fans

Hi,

Unfortunately, my silent loop 2 stopped working due to blockage of the pump. It was out of warranty so I just replaced it with another cooler.

I would like to use the fans that came with it as regular case fans. Unfortunately, they have hollow screw holes made for the long radiator screws. Is it possible to attach them to the case somehow, either with the radiator screws or by buying different ones?

Thanks.

Looking for a silent 750W PSU recommendation for a RTX 5070 Ti build (Platinum efficiency)

Hi everyone,

I am currently planning a hardware upgrade and I need some advice on choosing the right 750W power supply.

Here is my target configuration:

  • GPU: RTX 5070 Ti (around 300W peak/transients)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X (planning to upgrade soon to a more power-hungry modern CPU)
  • Case: Standard ATX case (no strict size limitations)

Energy saving is a top priority for me, so I am looking for a highly efficient unit with a minimum of 80 PLUS Platinum (or Cybenetics Platinum) certification to keep power consumption as low as possible.

My other absolute requirement is acoustics. I want a system that is as silent as possible under both idle and gaming loads.

I am currently torn between two different philosophies from be quiet!, but I am also open to other brands:

  • be quiet! Power Zone 2 750W: I love the fact that it is semi-passive (0 RPM / 0 dB at idle) and comes with a 140mm fan, making it potentially the quietest option on paper when not gaming.
  • be quiet! Pure Power 13M 750W: It technically hits Platinum efficiency in reviews with superior 28mV ripple filtering and solid caps, but the 120mm fan spins continuously.

How do these two stack up against each other in real-world noise levels? Is the continuous fan of the 13M truly inaudible, or is the 0 RPM mode of the Power Zone 2 better for a dead-silent idle setup?

If you have other top-tier Platinum suggestions like the Seasonic Focus PX-750 ATX 3.0 or Gigabyte AORUS ELITE Platinum 750W, please let me know how they compare regarding noise.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Be Quiet! Straight Power 11 650W died (end 2019 - 11.05.2026 2:33am)

It fired a 7700k with a 560Ti till 2022 and then a 1070Ti. Other components are: 4 Fans (12cm), 4x8GB DDR3 (i think) + 1 m.2 + 1 hdd over the whole time. The usage was light (mainly office, seldom more "heavy" use aka browser or opening windows media player, twice ultra heavy load aka installing windows/drivers/programs and once running benchmark for an hour to test system stability).

It died at night while PC off with a barely audible crk fzz. Overvoltage/Undervoltage/Overcurrent is out of the question, it ran in a stabilized environment. It just decided to go off while be(ing) quiet. I did not open it to check what is going on.

The warranty from be quiet for this was 5 years. The system ran stable all the time. Their promise was thus fullfilled 🫡 (aka we dont expect failure in warranty time).

To be fair: we were at least 100W away from Pmax. It ran at like 50-120W most of the time. It didn't die with a bang while running which is good. In the view of all that I'd have loved to see it going for at least 8-10 years. As comparison:I bought imo an Ultraforce 650W in 2011 which powered a 2600k then 4790k then 5950x with said 560ti, then said 1070ti, then a 2060S in a way heavier system. It got unstable, but by then it was over 14 years old (and that thing got the heavy duty treatment - like 8hrs per day+ gaming). It died end of last year.

So... My verdict: the straight line is the lower end of their lines. Price wise it was okish initial (imo 65€ in 2019), but in the view of how long it kept going rather not so good (the ultraforce was a bit higher in price at its time, but by far not 50 or 100% above). It kept the system safe even after death. So overall: it did the job well, but longevity left much open.

I'm still deciding what to do. On one hand: the system components are all quite old and efficiency is not that good anymore. I want to upgrade my girls PC. Maybe when the new AMD 10k come a 10800x3d + 9070xt - something along these lines. So I can go with another Seasonic Prime 1600 Noctua edition and just call it a day (or better 15 years) or go with a much more well dimensioned (yet more inefficient) 1000W Pure Power, but maybe have to swap it out in another 5-7 years?

Bad experience with bequiet

Just wanted to post my experience with customer support, in case anyone else has similar issues and wants to see if it has happened to someone else.

I got a PC earlier this year with a case, psu and aionl cooler from bequiet. I quickly realized that you can't fit a 5090 in the case without a huge bend in the GPU power cable, so I went on their website and saw that they sell 90 degree cables for this purpose.

In March I bought one of their 90 degree GPU cables from Amazon, which took 3 weeks to arrive (not their fault, but as far as I can tell, it is not possible to buy this product from anywhere that is shipping from inside the United States, mine came from Europe, where bequiet is based). Cable had a defect.

March 31

I spoke to bequiet customer support (after trying them for 2 days, apparently they do not answer calls during the last hour of their listed hours). I was told they would send me a replacement GPU power cable for the PSU. They said I was speaking to their branch in California, so thankfully it will be shipping from there, and will not take weeks to arrive.

April 1

I receive a follow up email asking for proof of purchase, my address to send the cable etc, which I reply to the same day

Nothing for literally 3 weeks, I am sitting there assuming it's on its way.

April 22

I receive an email saying that they will send me tracking info once the cable has been shipped. I don't know what they've been doing in the 3 weeks between getting my shipping information and this day.

May 2

I have heard nothing from bequiet since the previous email. I email them on this day asking for an update.

I still haven't heard anything since April 22. It has not shipped.

It has been almost a month and a half from when they received the required information to send me a new cable, and they have taken 3+ weeks between responses, of which we're not actually any useful information.

The thing that makes this extremely annoying is that if I had known they were going to handle things like this, I would have just ordered a new cable, since it takes nearly a month to have one shipped from a retailer.

Any suggestions on what I should do in this situation? Because contacting them has accomplished nothing so far.

RMA process?

Hi, I was wondering how long the RMA process takes. I purchased an open-box be quiet! Light Loop 360mm White from Canada Computers about two months ago. Now that I have the rest of my components, I finally unboxed it and found that it was missing all its screws. Upon contacting be quiet!, they directed me to an Amazon page to order new screws, as they wouldn't replace them due to it being an open-box item. Last night, I finally installed the AIO, and to my disbelief, I found that the pump doesn't even work, nor does the LED ring light. I am planning on attempting to RMA it again, but I was wondering how long it would take to replace this unit, assuming it is approved. Before anyone asks: yes, I’m sure the pump is dead. I triple checked that it is correctly wired to my motherboard, and I have checked the BIOS as well. Thanks in advance!

Edge lighting on light base 600 case

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know what type of connector the edge lights on the light base 600 case use? I want to disconnect them and connect them to another hub. If yes, could you tell me where it's located? A picture would be great. Thanks!
