I saw this beauty glimmering out of the corner of the gazebo and knew I had to have it. It still works and has the original remote! Gave it a little wipe down and it's in great condition considering it's from 1983. Now I've got to try to haul this monster up to my bedroom so wish me luck.

Got this sony from a friend

Everything works great, condition pretty good, tape deck doesnt work,

Take up spindle thingy doesnt spin and feel loose in play mode, belts are good though, I do hear 1 motor spin and the second motor does make a sound idk if its the motor or if a gear is slipping.

Fisher Turntable

I came across this Fisher MC-723 model... does anyone know anything about it? I think it's from the mid-80s, but I'd like to know more so I can restore it. It was left abandoned for about 10 or 11 years in a house that was still under construction (in the rough-build stage).

Re-purchased the family stereo of my childhood

Got this Thomas TSC-901A recently. It's like seeing an old friend I haven't seen in 20 years. The one my parents had was designated as a "B" model, but I can't find a single difference between the A and B model. This one is fully functional and still had the packaging tape and "hype tags" on it when I got it!

I need help

This is my recently dead grandpa belonging and my grandma seems to have no problem with me taking it. Apparently the disc slots are jammed and can't eject. Has anyone shared a similar experience before? I would like to recover and use this somehow

Speakers i found are crazy quiet

Found these speakers and tested one out with a few devices, phone, laptop etc, and the audio is super low on both of them. All they have are an aux cable each. Is there something I'm missing as I'm not sure why they won't work?

The behemoth

Doesn't work. Trying to figure out how to get rid of the damn thing because it's gigantic, heavy, and obviously broken. For those wondering this is a Karaoke machine which accepts laserdisc (up to 50 automatic changing), CD, cassette, and VHS while also supplying amplification to speakers and microphones.

Grandma's Sony karaoke system (LBT-K100)

This was a bit trendy back then according to my grandma during the 90s and early 2000s which now is replaced by ugly bass boosted bluetooth karaoke speakers and unfortunately maybe the last one surviving in my neighborhood since old thing throw away mentality.

It's silly my grandma has maybe been just using this to listen to AM broadcasts for a decade already and I'm a bit surprised how nice it still sounds even without maintenance for how old it is. Yes I'm hooking up my laptop using an HDMI to AV converter that I also use for my old TV

Authentic BPC?

I picked up a Sharp CD-DH950 with a CD tray issue, but had everything else. I completely underestimated how non-repairable the mechanism is 😂 so... I bought another one without speakers or a power cord, and cobbled together a fully operational unit! It even plays MP3's from the USB port, including a SSD in a USB enclosure 🤩 I haven't tested the cassette player, but I do have a spare 😅

I accomplished what I set out for: better than a Bluetooth speaker's sound & playing MP3 CD's.

Am I in the club now?
