Our Breed of the Day series highlights a different breed Monday - Friday to educate our followers on AKC-recognized breeds. While this sub is always for the Cocker Spaniel fans, we're loving all of the anecdotes about this wonderful breed on our posts.

First, ill like to start off with my wanting to own a borzoi isnt exactly impulsive,i wanted and studied them and their needs as a pet for years, but i thought getting advice from owners theirselves would ultimately the healthier option

Im from Turkey so,they're a pretty rare breed around here unless you bring one from aboard, my family has a lot of experiences with dogs even before i was born, when i was a little we had a Rottweiler and we had a dalmatian,frenchie and a golden retriever (which are my aunts but we mainly had to take care of it because of her trips) and i also study animal health! Few of those doggies was before i was here tho 😅

What way i can get a borzoi ethically? housing type borzois need to live happiest? Or what to keep them engaged with? Any advice is super duper appreciated!

They just got spayed and are equally miserable and sleepy now. Bright side! I now get more tv channels and the WIFI connection has improved dramatically while these 2 are in the same room!

1. Pup cup refuel is a MUST.

2. Bath is optional, if you ask Firey.

3. Blowdry thoroughly both inside and out.

4. Run FULL SPEED into mom 🤣

5. Take a roadtrip and see some sights.

6. Go eat some food.

7. Run around the ring.

8. HAVE FUN!

I am considering buying a crib mattress for my big boney 5 year old. Any thoughts?

We used to have a spare twin in a guest room and room was repurposed. So he was spoiled. Now he’s been on the couch and it honestly doesn’t look like he is comfortable? Twin mattress is too big for the living room but crib mattress would work, I think?
