Anyone recommend me some ~1ft HDMI cables with short/low-profile plugs?

I'm hooking things up in tight quarters and need a handful (5?) of 1-foot-long HDMI cables that have short plug ends, since several of the devices are facing each other and the cables won't fit if they're like an inch long on both ends

GOTO telescope mount power cable - HELP!!!

https://preview.redd.it/wcey0rdmoibh1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=db8944b690b3efa61fb580f4dcdb91b8ceddef6c

Recently I bought this old Optus 60/700 GOTO telescope off marketplace for $30, thought it was a good deal for goto mount tracking. I saw it didn't come with a power cable to connect to the main mount to provide it with power. The best help i could find because it is such a niche random scope was an old youtube vid from 14 years back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmIY8Two4as).

I was wondering if anyone at all might know anything about the power cable of this scope. I went to my local electronics store and they said they never saw anything like it. What I do know is that the main mount is powered by 8 AA 1.5V batteries, just don't know what cable to to use.

If anyone could let me know that would be great, thanks

Any suggestions?

Please help with USB-C to HDMI

I am going crazy.

I have a gaming laptop that I had working with 2 external monitors. 1 with HDMI to HDMI and the other with USBC to HDMI. It was working totally fine and now has just stopped. Windows is no longer recognizing that as a video input(it doesn’t make the noise when I plug it in.

Here’s the thing.
It’s not the cord. My phone and my gfs PC both connect with that cord no issues.
It’s not the port. The usbc still charges my phone and has power.
It’s not the monitors, they both work.

Please help

Rj45 connector

In my rent app i found an ethernet connection i couldnt use. Traced it back to this green 8 wire utp cable which was used for telecom i think.

Figured i would fix it, bought this set on amazon but i cant seem to fit the wires into the rj45 connector. I even use pliers to squish it down.

I have to cut the little transparent glider and know the correct combination T568B (which is annoying with that glider thing), but it does not want to go through the connector, even with untwisting and pliers, advice appreciated.

Trying to find a USBC to AUX dongle with a play/pause button, does does such a thing even exist?

Hi gang,

So I've been using a pair of HD25s attached to an Anker dongle for my phone as my daily drivers for a while now. I love the wired headphones sound and aesthetic but what's been getting to me is the lack of ease in playing and pausing my music.

Currently I have to quickly unplug and plug in the dongle to pause tracks and to play anything or switch tracks I have to pull out my phone, which can sometimes be inconvenient. I was wondering, since the headphones don't have an inline switch, if there was a dongle with something like that built in?

When I have my phone in my pocket the dongle usually hangs out so it would be easy enough to toggle without having to pull my phone all the way out. Anybody seen anything like this or have a link where I could get one? Thanks!!

what is this display cable? (ps1/2/3)

hi, I just found this display cable and I'm not sure if it's an official one AND if it's an RGB one. I found it while cleaning my consoles, some are from my father (the ps1) and I have a ps1 Namco lightgun that I think is where the cable come from. I'm in PAL region (France) and since it has a SCART out, I was thinking it was RGB. I tried it on my ps3 instead of my usual AV display cable from my ps2 and damn there's a huge difference in colors and quality. my ps3 was set in AV quality and when I was using an AV SCART adapter the image was the same, but when I plugged this display cable it was only showing Green until I changed the settings to SCART. the difference is noticeable on ps2 and ps3, haven't tested yet with my og ps1

even the sound is coming from my CRT so I'm not sure what are theses Left and Right composite cables for, and why there's a Video entry on the display cable. I'd really like to know everything someone would know about this cable, if I have a RGB cable at home for free for my CRTs I would be super happy

My aventon female power plug is damaged and needs to be replaced. Anyone have a recommendation for a non proprietary plug that could fit replace it? Needs to have 3 pins and fit inside a 3/8 inch diameter hole.

Question about cables for Focusrite Scarlett 18i16 4th gen audio interface

I’m wanting to connect my Boss KATANA Gen 3 artist amplifier, Fender GTX 100 amplifier, and Valeton GP 200 effects board to my Scarlet audio interface. I know that I can use the 1/4” inch jacks into the rear of the Scarlet.

My question is my amplifiers an effects board have XLR output jacks. Can I connect an XLR to XLR cable directly into the front 4 ports of the Scarlett 18i16? I know that those 4 ports are combination jacks that can do both XLR and 1/4” but they also have preamps for microphone. I didn’t know if I’m able to use those for line level connections with an XLR cable directly to an amplifier effects boards. I don’t want to damage anything by making the wrong connections.

Appreciate any help as I’m new to home studio recording and can’t seem to find an answer in the manual.

What is this for? (Doesn't transfer audio)

it's not broken, it is recognized by everything I connect it to as a sort of accessory, but it doesn't seem to transfer audio no matter what combination of devices I use. is there a practical use for something like this? I thought maybe for IR receivers but I'm not sure🤷‍♂️
