“Thinking of opening a cowork café in Vizag… bad idea or opportunity?”

Would you use a cowork café in Vizag?

How much would you pay?

What features matter most?

Best location in Vizag?

What would make you come regularly?

How do cafés actually get more reviews nowadays?

I recently took over an old-school café/bar type place, and one thing I’ve noticed is that even when customers seem happy and become regulars, it rarely turns into online reviews.

The place barely even shows up on Google, so I’ve been trying to modernize things slowly without ruining the cozy/local vibe. I’ve looked into things like QR codes, QuickFeedback-style systems, and even those “Happy or Not” smiley feedback terminals to try and catch reactions while people are still there.

Still not really sure what actually works in practice though, especially since most people just relax, finish their coffee/drinks, and leave without thinking about reviews.

How are other café owners handling this?

(sorry if this is the wrong sub) i just wanna get a genuine reply what people experience.

Best handheld espresso machine for travel?

My girlies and I went on a 3-day road trip last week and we're all coffee lovers. We carried those instant coffee sachets thinking they’d be enough and honestly we lowkey regretted it by the next morning. It's so boring having coffee that tastes like flavoured water yet you're waking up to an amazing view, everyone taking pictures and enjoying the vibe.  One of my friends kept saying we should’ve just bought one of those handheld espresso machines because apparently some of them are not bulky and make proper espresso on the go. Now we’re planning another trip next month and I’m scrolling through randomly on Alibaba. I am trying to figure out which ones are actually worth buying and which ones are just cutesy looking that are useful. Are those handheld espresso machines  worth it or do they come in handy?

What pistachio syrup does your cafe use that tastes good?

I tried Torani and Monin, but they both just taste like chemicals. Of course housemade syrups taste the best, but what other syrup brand tastes good in coffees?

coffee & milo & more milo, from a singapore home café

coffee with milo from a small home café called "kommunitea" opposite seletar mall, fernvale road, singapore
rate: 4.8/5⭐️!
0.2 lower because they only can accomodate 2pax!

it's more for local people/neighbours who stay in the northeast side of singapore...

but if you're here to venture the more local food scene in singapore, come to the residential areas..

support small businesses

Local Roaster sells Malfunctioning Beans Mix Bag. Would you get it?

our local roaster starts selling the so-called "triage".
translation of the bags description: "In this bag you will find hand-selected beans that didn't make it into our standard coffees. Each bag a different flavor. Freshly and gently roasted for your daily enjoyment."
the coffee is indeed very mixed with various roast levels and deformities. i'm still not that good at finding the best descriptors for the flavours but i would describe that one as just all over the place and missing character (roasted three days ago so idk how much the flavour will improve). with 15€/kg though i would still buy this over the standard supermarket beans any day. what do you guys think about this?
