Just watched the movie, was told to read the original one for accuracy

I finished Odessey but I see that the movie lacked a lot of details which I can understand, I’m currently going to read this on audiobooks

What was your experience with this?

How long do you leave your coffee grounds?

I’m at a new place where I got nothing but pot stove and coffee grounds to make Americano.

I tend to leave boiling water measured on stove once it’s at boiling temp put the grounds and leave it there for bout 5mins

It’s not strong enough with these unless I keep the stove running

how do you make it ?

Pro tip: do not use AI to create phone app screenshots on store page

Humanise your creative posts, only use AI for localizing the creatives, but do not use AI for creating it from scratch, People will eventually catch up and call it BS.

  1. Put efforts in having value proposition first
  2. Describe core problems in first 3 screenshots of your app
  3. Respond to negative reviews - dont let it get to you
  4. Build to delight not to for the sake of pay walling features that do not even makes sense to paywall
  5. Hangout where your core ICP hangs
  6. Be your own super user first.

Quick Q, where do you guys setup your ABS server?

I’m the guy who posted the HushBook abs support post, I wanted to understand where users have their servers up? Is it a VPS, or on their home systems say Mac, PC ?

I’m working on progress sync and hit few snags on compatibility with IP address that changes on every new launch on PC system this breaks the progress sync and also makes previous instance obsolete.

Would like to understand so that I know if it’s feasible as I’m stress testing these here

Like promised, Came back with HushBook now fully supporting Audiobookshelf imports

Hushbook now supports Audiobookshelf add in your servers and import your audiobooks, transcribe, read, make quotes, post to friends do everything.

Last time i abruptly posted here without having this feature and realised that ABS makes importing your fav audiobook the easiest, I went ahead and added them (Beta) on the demo i have cut the adding of the server part, rest is same.

let me know what you think

Would you be interested in a single sequence recording a vlog on phone?

Im building a mobile app that helps you vlog better and stress free for editing later

The main problem was stopping normal recording, changing the selectiong to say timelapse, portrait, wide angle etc

This makes you save the angle, no unnecessary cutting or changing the setting, just on hitting record you can shift from normal recording to all other options which makes perfect sense if you are vlogging your day, drive, trek etc

Would you be interested in an app that makes all of this in a single recording sequence?

Ahh I need those feel good books to read to that makes me happy and look towards life in joy!

Looking for feel good books in Genre: Life/Memoir/fiction etc
Im gravitating towards audiobook version of those but physical or ebook will also do

u/Vivid-Tumbleweed-651 — 17 days ago

Currently reading Zeroism

Its quite fascinating listening to how this guy has each and every thing he takes measured and wants to not die, the science aspect of this book is interesting but also beyond my understanding on how he will be able "Live longer" just by doing these scientific things.

But interesting read/listen -- kinda wanted it to have some more revolutionary discoveries but im still early to say so.

The learning from what he says is Sleep is the most important metric to fix, once you fix the sleep go about food, workout and etc

What were you thoughts on this book if you gave it a go?

How i went from 0 users to 550 in launch month with zero ads spent

At the start of July

...I set my goal to have 100 users

At that time HushBook didn't even fully launch

Now, I have 550 happy users with handful of Lifetime users and subscriptions

Almost instantly lots of user already who were suffering started dm-ing me that they always wanted something like this and would this also have X features for their Y Problem (yes it did)

How did I reach? And how can you?

Find the value hooks

The problem is best broken and solved when you personally have dealt with it, with my case I hated audible's app so bad that i made a spec sheet of all the things i wanted in an app for me as an audiobook reader. I understood that somedays i would have zero attention span thanks to social media doomscrolling and I needed to build an audiobook app that would help me overcome it and have read along features that i always wanted.

Read Reviews

I went about scanning 1-3 star reviews of users using the competitor apps, started talking to reddit users putting rant posts on respective subreddits kept in constant feedback with them.

Plan > Build, test ,test ,test alot of test.!

This space is crucial because even if you use AI to build your app do not overly rely on it to provide you the value proposition to make this app killer, you need your logics to be super clear.

Like my first point the reliance of the problem statement should be personal to you and each and every solution should solve the mini problems that you broke the main problem down into.

Once launched

Pick the most relevant subreddits started posting focused on the hooks like
"I got tired of Audible's app, so I built my own"
"Created a free Audiobook app that reads along as you listen"
"An audiobook app that works like a karaoke read along"

Put value proposition first, the most hooks that your potential users pain points relate to that will generate more attention to your posts and increase interaction. You can drive conversion from thereon.

Read subreddits' rules

Reading their rules will help you navigate the ban and also be appreciative of the audience that they joined in for. We can promo abuse their walls which could annoy the readers. A subtle value heavy posts will help you long way even tho they attract less views initially. You will know automatically what works and what doesnt.

Run LTD free for 100 users

To get to 100 users open up your paywall that gets your fast 100 users keep 10% (more the better) of users in touch who will be your power users that give you feedback that matters the most.

I went quality over quanity. Took time to notice bans (its okay to test waters) and then reiterated with following their policies.

Possibilities are endless.

Now im opening this post as a two way sharing where you comment what worked for you and others can chime into to ask more info about your strategies, i have lots to learn from all of you in this community.
