When you cross 2 plants like Chem D x Chem 91 which one is the father and mother? Would the first named plant Chem D be the father and Chem 91 be the mother or vice versa?

I have 4 regular seeds going that I'm hoping to get a male or 2 from and 2 clones of one of my keepers I want to receive pollen.

My question is: do I flip both the clones and seeds all at once or should I stagger one or the other? I want to get the pollen on the receiver as early as possible in flower so I'm not running this project too deep into the hottest part of summer.

I'm pretty decent at growing in general but this is brand new to me and would appreciate some education on this topic. Thank you.

Hi all! I've been enjoying some wonderful lavender photoperiods lately and am looking to breed them to autoflower. I see some old Witch Doctor strains and soapy autos but they're mostly out of stock. Can anyone direct me to some lavender autoflowers? They might also be called soap/soapy but I'm really looking for the linalool terpene, which has relaxing effects.

These are the things I’ve ordered already:
(I wanted to be on a budget of €200 so everything is from AliExpress)

Tent & Light:
• 60x60x120cm grow tent with ventilation
• BST 600WSCP LED (Samsung LM281B chips, ~65-85W real draw)

Seeds:

• Northern Lights Auto (x2) starting with this
• White Widow Auto (x1)
• Wedding Cake (x1) got it free

Other gear:
• Automatic drip watering system (programmable up to 15 days interval)
• 5 gallon fabric pot
• 5-in-1 pH/TDS/EC meter
• Universal potting soil + a random fertilizer

My situation:
Growing in my room inside a container (yes a shipping container). Biggest challenge is that I’ll sometimes be away for 1-3 weeks at a time, hence the automatic watering system.

Questions:

1. Any tips for being away that long? Will the auto watering system be enough?
2. Is universal potting soil okay for a first grow or should I get something better?
3. Any beginner mistakes I should avoid with Northern Lights Auto?
4. Any further advice? I’ve seen some YouTube videos so I know the basics. Is there something I forgot to order?
