Tata Tiago 20000 KM ODO - 2025 Model

Been 11 months now. Since I got Tiago

* Mileage - 10 in Bangalore city , 20-22 on highways.

* Handling - easy in the city , the steering and clutch are very light. The clutch is lighter than the throttle

Things i found good - The infotainment system is too good. The position they have mounted the rear camera is nice. You can have a look at both corners of the bumper which eases judging the car position. Decent space for 4 people. A/C is powerful.

Things which could have been better - There's no seat pressure sensor in rear seats. The seatbelt warning beeps no matter if passengers are there or not for about 30-45 seconds. Also the beep is too loud. The front crash bar is very sensitive. A little impact , it would deform i don't know if it intentional but I have got it fixed twice.

The power it generates is subjective, if you don't care about others on road and wanna enjoy your drive this car has got you.

Planning for an ev but afraid of EMF

I am actually thinking of getting an ev.but. Friend's friend who works in the battery car industry said that the safety of EMFs in the EVs india is falsely marketed and that there is no proper shielding of EMFs in Indian cars. Why is no big name in the car youtube community is talking about this?Anyone know about this? Also did anyone experience any headache, nausea etc... when newly driving an ev car?

Latest news from May 20 11 55am! Ethanol blending will increase like it or not!

They haven't mentioned the dates by when the blend increases, I'll have you know that they silently increasing ethanol blending from 10% to 20% gradually over the years since 2022 and told nobody about it. They became proud of this and announced which got backlash. Now they are openly saying it to avoid backlash.

Below are the timelines.

2022: India achieved the initial 10% ethanol blending target (E10) in June, a full five months ahead of its original schedule.

2022–2023: Blending levels averaged 12.06%.

2023–2024: The average blending rate rose to 14.60%.

2024–2025: The country reached a milestone of 19.24% blending for the supply year. The Union Cabinet officially advanced the 20% blending target (E20) to this timeframe, successfully hitting it early.

Please avoid all petrol cars, even one petrol car bought is thousands of liters of ethanol bought by you over the lifetime of the car filling the pockets of ethanol factory families.

Insurer denied claim

Insurer denied claim due to little spray paint

My car doors got scratched by a wall. I sprayed little paint on the scratches to avoid rusting due to rain.

I live 5 hours away from service centre, hence could not go for repair immediately.

10 days later I filed for claim. The surveyor declined claim citing repainted panel.

The spray paint coating is clearly visible on the scratches, nowhere else.

Is there any remedy in this case ?

Is the Kia Syros worth buying in Delhi/Gurugram? Pricing, features & ownership thoughts

I’ve been researching compact SUVs lately for daily Delhi/Gurugram driving, and the new Kia Syros honestly looks like one of the most feature-loaded options right now in the segment.

A lot of people are asking about the Kia Syros on-road price in Delhi, so here’s a quick breakdown I found useful.

Kia Syros On-Road Price Delhi

Base Turbo Petrol variant roughly comes to:

  • Ex-showroom: ₹8.39 lakh
  • RTO + registration: ~₹58k
  • Insurance: ~₹37k

➡️ Approx on-road price in Delhi: ₹9.36 lakh

Higher variants obviously go up depending on petrol/diesel and automatic options:

  • Top petrol automatic: around ₹17.3 lakh on-road
  • Top diesel automatic: around ₹18.6 lakh on-road

Compared to other compact SUVs, pricing actually seems fairly competitive considering the feature list.

What makes the Syros interesting?

A few things that stood out to me:

  • 5-star BNCAP safety rating
  • ADAS Level 2 safety tech
  • Large panoramic display setup
  • Ventilated rear seats
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Connected car features + OTA updates
  • Spacious rear seating despite compact dimensions

The interior especially looks much more premium than what you normally expect in this category.

Engine options

Petrol

  • 1.0L Turbo Petrol
  • 120 PS
  • Manual + DCT automatic

Diesel

  • 1.5L Diesel
  • 116 PS
  • Manual + automatic

Claimed mileage:

  • Petrol: ~18 kmpl
  • Diesel: ~20+ kmpl

For NCR traffic plus occasional highway trips, both engine options seem practical depending on usage.

Grand Vitara Discounts

Just saw this banner inside one of the showrooms last night. Anyone aware about such discounts on Grnad Vitara? I'm exploring the Sigma and Dleta variants currently. If someone has bought it recently, what were the discounts offered to you?

Kerela car modification news

It is being said that kerela cm will allow certain modifications on cars.

Do we Indians have a future like American car mods culture.

What do you guys think should be legalized, considering strict emission norms many of the stage 3 mods and above can't be done properly and it won't be considered legal.

I think there should be a safety rating point system for cars that considers the power to weight ratio if increased will reduce the points and if others mods like steering suspensions brake airbags and more safety and stability features added will make the car drivable with increased power. if the vehicle passes the drivability test then it will be considered fully legal.

what are your thoughts on this, and I am not from kerela but if it is applied in kerela it should be applicable throughout the nation. As car modification can significantly increase the gdp output. And this way local manufacturing of custom car parts can also start which if possible can increase exports to other countries.

Father hit by a car in Panchsheel Park .a month ago. IO refusing to file FIR, accused backing out. Need urgent legal advice

Hi everyone, posting here because my family is completely stuck and emotionally drained. Looking for advice on how to handle the Delhi Police and this specific situation.

The Incident:

On 18th April 2026, around 9:00 AM, my father was hit by a Maruti Suzuki Ignis (Registration No: DL 12CT **63) right near Rosewalk Hospital in Panchsheel Park.

What happened next:

The driver who hit him actually took my father to the hospital.

His son arrived shortly after.

A formal MLC (Medico-Legal Case) was made by the hospital.

At that time, the driver's son admitted it was their fault and explicitly promised us that they would pay for all the medical expenses. They even paid an initial amount of approx ₹10,000/- for immediate expenses.

The Current Problem (1 Month Later):

It has been exactly one month today. After that initial ₹10k, the accused party has completely backed out and is refusing to clear the rest of the hospital and medical bills. To make things worse, the Investigating Officer (IO) handling the case flat-out refused to register an FIR.

We have been running around in circles for 30 days. No solution, no FIR, and the IO is clearly siding with them or just trying to brush this under the carpet. My father is recovering, but the financial and mental stress of dealing with this system is breaking us.

My Questions to the Community:

Since they already paid ₹10,000 initially, doesn't that act as an admission of their involvement/fault? How can I use this against them?

How can I force the police to file an FIR when the IO is actively refusing?

Can I directly complain to the DCP or ACP of the South Delhi area? What is the process?

Since we have the MLC, the car number, and proof of their partial payment, can we move the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) even without an FIR?

Any help, leads, or upvotes to get this some visibility would mean the world to my family right now. Thank you.

Is this repairable ?

First of all sorry if this is the wrong place to post this,

I have a 2024 baleno and while looking around I saw the center plastic piece to have a bubble (I thought it was painted silver color) I tried removing the bubble and now it tore. It's really painful seeing it torn like this.

Has anyone experienced this before the big question is this repairable and what should I do.
