My 8 kg CNG tank got filled with 9.5 kg at a CNG station in my 2017 Maruti Celerio

Guys, I have a 2017 Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG, and my CNG tank is fitted outside the car.

Today, I went to a CNG station, and my tank has an 8 kg capacity, but the machine showed that they filled 9.5 kg of CNG. 💀

How is this even possible? Is it normal due to pressure and temperature differences, or did something go wrong with the meter or filling process?

Has anyone with a Celerio or a similar CNG car experienced this?

I'm genuinely confused about how a tank rated for 8 kg could take 9.5 kg. Is it safe to drive, or should I get the tank check?

It's a 2017 Celerio with an externally fitted CNG cylinder.

22M with ₹30L cash + family assets - how should we plan for a ₹1.25 Cr flat?

Title: 22M with ₹30L cash + family assets — how should we plan for a ₹1.25 Cr flat?

I'm 22 years old and looking for some financial planning advice from people who have more experience with this.

Current income

- My YouTube/tech tutorial income: ~₹30k/month

- Dad's pension: ₹45k/month

- Mom's salary: ₹36k/month

- Rental income: ₹20k/month

- Total household inflow: ~₹1.31L/month

I'm currently studying IT engineering at a Tier-2 college and expect to graduate around 2029. I had a 3-year gap/drop before this.

My plan after graduation is to get a stable IT job rather than pursue further studies, while continuing to grow my YouTube channel. With serious effort, I think the channel could potentially reach ~₹1L/month, but I don't want to depend on that income for essential expenses.

Current assets

- ~₹30L cash available from land that we recently sold

- One plot worth approximately ₹25L

- One flat worth approximately ₹1 Cr

- We cannot sell this flat

- It currently generates ~₹20k/month rent

- Insurance is already covered

We currently live in a rented house and pay ₹18k/month rent.

Goal

We eventually want to purchase a self-use flat costing around ₹1.25 Cr.

I'm trying to figure out how we should plan for this without taking an unnecessarily large loan or putting the family's finances under pressure.

My initial thought is to use the next 2–3 years to build the down payment, possibly sell the ₹25L plot later, and then take a manageable home loan after I graduate and have a stable salary.

Questions

  1. Given this financial situation, how would you structure the next 3 years?

  2. How much should we ideally keep as an emergency fund?

  3. Should the ₹30L be kept in liquid/low-risk investments since the goal is a few years away?

  4. Would it make sense to sell the ₹25L plot and use that toward the house?

  5. What would be a reasonable down payment for a ₹1.25 Cr property?

  6. How much home loan would be reasonable given our household income?

  7. Should I wait until I have a stable job before purchasing?

  8. Is there anything I'm overlooking in this plan?

I'm mainly looking for long-term financial planning advice, not stock tips. I'd appreciate practical opinions from people who have dealt with buying a house and managing a large home loan in India.
