A classmate of mine is facing a severe allegation following an exam taken via ProctorU. (which he didnt give someone else did( HE CHEATED) He got an allegation from the university because his hands were on his face while typing was occurring.

The specific video clip is 10 seconds long; during that time, he had his hands on his face for 6 seconds, and 4 words were typed. He is now required to submit to explain the situation. Since I am unfamiliar with ProctorU’s specific protocols, I am looking for advice on how he can effectively structure a rebuttal to defend himself against this allegation.

Im thinking of using it but I wanted to see if anyone else’s has used it and their success with the service with respondus

Was expecting 1 camera for this test but actually had to use 2, starting freaking out, thank god I had a second phone to use as the external camera on my left propped up a little, had my main phone with chat gpt pro right under the phone propped up and I would barely angle it to take a photo of my laptop screen and rinse and repeat, lean left and down writing notes but looking at answer and repeat, you MUST not let the proctor set ur cam up that sees up to ur elbows, say no more room, only ur hands can be shown as well as laptop screen, this is very hard to explain but I can take photos if anyone has 2 phones and doesn’t wanna use HDMI this is the only other possible method solo, im sure there are a little better of angles that are possible, but I just took 45 pictures of my laptop unnoticed , does take about 30 minutes of practicing on a web cam beforehand to get the muscle memory of taking a photo without looking at the phone using chat GPT

Hey guys I need some advice/judgement on what I should do in a situation im in.

my friend is offering me 900$ to take the SAT for him, and I really dont see how our plan would go wrong (btw I already have a 1500+ and he needs a 1450+). Essentially we are planning to simply just swap devices before going in to the test center and he would just give me his cb login and id give him mine. We would sit in our assinged seats, keep our eyes on our devices, but simply just take the tests on the other persons account.

Can someone advise potential ways which this might not work / go wrong? Thank you!

I was using chatgpt for an exam and said the question aloud and it repeated the question back to me very loudly with the answer. I immediately turned it down and left the exam citing the reason as having to deal with something on my phone. I feel like I made it worse and I’m really nervous about getting caught. Do you think it’ll will be flagged by the respondus lockdown monitor? If I do get caught how do I even respond it was the exact question I was working on?
