I make all kinds of things but my favorites to make are definitely rats, especially clown rats! Just wanted to show them off here lol!
I really wanted the feathers to give this phoenix its shape and personality, so I made them one by one… way more than I expected. 😂
I don’t even want to think about how many hours went into this.
Still, seeing all the little details come together made it totally worth it.
Hand-sculpted out of clay. And yes, every single feather was worth it. 😂🔥
Solo quiero saber si estoy poniendo un precio adecuado, la suelo ofrecer en 11 dolares pero me han dicho que es costoso.
Hey guys, I'm working on a series of devil boys, sculpted from air dry clay and sealed with UV resin (Apologies for my blurry photography skills).
Tah for taking a look ☺️
sorry if this is a stupid question! i was shopping for epoxy resin to seal a sculpture, but i was a hurry and i guess i didnt read the label properly because i accidentally purchased epoxy adhesive instead,,, i saw the two-part component mixture and thought i found what i was looking for 😭
i'm aware it may just be glue, but just in case: are there any fundamental differences between the two, and more importantly, can i use it like i would epoxy resin with the purpose of sealing/varnishing clay? and if so, does it dry clear or cloudy?
thank you in advance!
i just wanted to share this with people who may have more experience with clay compared to myself (i did take a ceramics class, but its been a few years lol). these are two magnets I made out of airdry clay. they're based off things from a music group, which i put at the end.
I put these two magnets up to show people my work and considered offering some up to sell (to see if anyone was interested).
I had no idea how much to charge, so i came on this sub to ask for people's opinions (to which many people were very rude lol😅). but, would you know it, without me even having a price in mind, someone offered $70.
I was a bit worried about being scammed, especially as I thought that was a major overprice, but nope! we communicated for a few days as I worked on the magnets, and by the end of it she ended up changing her offer to $100. im so incredibly thankful and grateful to this person! this has been a very fun experience.
(and to the person who said no one would buy unless they were my friend or family- no, I dont know this person! lol thought id share that)
So I'm working with ceramic clay and I have a bunch of it dissolved in a bucket of water. However, I've noticed that it doesn't really sediment and leaves a section of water, even if I leave it for 3-4 days. I suspect from a couple of youtube videos that the pH might be too high, potentially causing the clay to for colloid particles that stay suspended. I've measured the pH with pH-paper (not the best method but it's what I have available), and concluded that it's roughly 8-9.
Is it 95 degrees outside? Yes. But the retail gods have spoken 😭
Polymer clay! All handmade. Chalk pastels to make it toasty, stippling sponge for texturing the pumpkin filling, and polyurethane to give it that lightly wet look. One too many hours spent poking at the crust to give it that crumb 😅
I love creating fantasy creatures, and this is one of my works—the Ancient Glacier Beast.
I really enjoy the whole process of bringing a piece to life from nothing, and I’ve also documented the entire making process.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions about my piece or future ideas, feel free to let me know!✨
I wanted this little world to feel completely different once the lights went out, so I hid a little trick inside the clay scene. 😯
The idea was to create someone reaching for a star somewhere between the mountains, water, and night sky—as if we all have that one star we're trying to catch.✨
And yes, parts of it actually glow in the dark.🌌
Can you guess what I used to make it glow? 👀
Used crayola air dry. I am a clay beginner and this is my first semi complex piece, why did this happen / how to prevent ? *this is 2 almost 3 days after setting out to air dry
Hello, just have a question. I want to make a keychain. I will use acrylic paint and UV resin for color and coating, but I'm still thinking about what material is better (air-dry clay or polymer clay). What would you recommend? I like both but I'm not sure which one is better for this.
Thank you!
I just realized stone clay isn’t only great for making keychains—it can also be used to make custom character standees! So of course I had to make one for my favorite little girl right away. I love it so much!!!
