[Self] Making this phoenix one feather at a time 🔥

For this piece, I wanted the phoenix to feel bold and full of energy.

I first shaped the body, wings, and tail, then added the feathers one by one. That was definitely the slowest part, but it also gave the phoenix the texture and movement I wanted.

A lot of clay, a lot of feathers, and a lot of patience. 😂

Really happy with how it turned out! 🔥

How My Clay Phoenix Slowly Came to Life 🔥

I wanted this phoenix to feel powerful and full of movement, so I started with the pose and overall shape before worrying about the details.

Once the body, wings, and tail were in place, I moved on to the most time-consuming part—the feathers. I shaped and layered them one by one to give the whole piece more depth and flow.

It took a lot of patience (especially those feathers 😂), but watching an idea slowly come to life is always my favorite part of making something by hand.

Here's the finished phoenix. 🔥

From a Simple Clay Shape to My Fiery Phoenix 🔥

I wanted this phoenix to feel powerful and full of movement, rather than just look like a bird covered in feathers. So before adding any details, I spent some time figuring out the pose and overall shape first.

I started by building the basic body and structure, then gradually shaped the head, wings, and tail. Once the main form felt right, I moved on to the part that took the most patience—the feathers. I made and layered them one by one to create more depth and a natural flow across the body.

It took a lot of time (especially those feathers 😂), but that's also the part of crafting I enjoy most—watching a simple idea slowly turn into something with its own character.

Here's my finished phoenix. 🔥

I Lost Track of How Many Feathers I Made for This Phoenix 🔥

I really wanted the feathers to give this phoenix its shape and personality, so I made them one by one… way more than I expected. 😂

I don’t even want to think about how many hours went into this.

Still, seeing all the little details come together made it totally worth it.

Hand-sculpted out of clay. And yes, every single feather was worth it. 😂🔥

Wait Until the Lights Go Out… My Clay World Actually Glows ✨

I wanted this little world to feel completely different once the lights went out, so I hid a little trick inside the clay scene. 😯

The idea was to create someone reaching for a star somewhere between the mountains, water, and night sky—as if we all have that one star we're trying to catch.✨

And yes, parts of it actually glow in the dark.🌌

Can you guess what I used to make it glow? 👀

Nobody Asked for a Lotus Capybara, but Here We Are 🌸

I have no good explanation for this one 😂
I just really like capybaras and really like lotus flowers, and at some point my brain decided they belonged together.
So... here's my little lotus capybara, handmade with air dry foam clay. 🌸
Honestly, I think he looks pretty happy sitting up there.

Guess what? Another clay story world is complete! Come check out my latest little fantasy scene! 🐉⚔️🦊

Hey, another new week has begun, and I’m so excited to share my latest finished clay fantasy world with you all!

This time, it’s a young warrior, his loyal dragon companion, and a little fox joining them on their journey.

I poured so much love into shaping the dragon’s overlapping scales, refining the warrior’s horned armor, and bringing each character’s personality to life. The little details were my favorite part: the warrior’s frilly collar, the dragon’s bright yellow eyes, and the fox’s wide-eyed, excited expression — they all make this world feel alive and unique.

Thanks for coming along on this clay adventure with me. I hope you enjoy looking at this little scene as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Help! What clay creatures should I make next?

Hey, I'm a creator who loves making original miniature scenes and characters with clay.
I’ve been feeling a little stuck for inspiration lately 😅
I’ve already made tigers, octopuses, ducks, pandas, fish monsters, lions, and many other creatures with air dry foam clay.

I’d really love to hear what kind of characters or creatures you’re interested in!
If you have any ideas, just drop them below—I’ll try my best to sculpt them.

Thanks so much for your help and suggestions!🥰

I sculpted my dream: flying above mountains with my cat using air dry foam clay

I had a dream about flying above misty mountains with my cat. It felt so free and peaceful that I decided to sculpt it for real. ☁️🐱
This piece is entirely made with air dry foam clay. I recorded the full process as well. 🎥

I’m just a little worried I didn’t do the dream justice… 😅
But I was wondering… would anyone be curious about the finished work? 👇
