I'm still working on my project. He developed a visual for teenage farmers who are engaged in gathering. They climb tall fruit trees and pick fruits

Sunrise, monster of friendship and love (apparently)

Some time ago I found an old sketch I did way back. This year I decided to do a new take on this creature I probably drew 20 what years ago. Was fun to do! I have no idea what I thought when I was drawing this, but I’m pretty sure the hearts resemble the ‘love’ part.

I need Fashion Design help for my Female Creature

Hey! I am working on a science fiction project, a novel, with an alien species that I am designing. So, as ever, the questions can become kinda difficult if when you are attempting to redesign the female version of the creature (appropriately and respectfully of course). I was going to have it to where they don't milk their young the way humans do but more like the way mammals do when they give birth to a brood (dogs, cats, pigs, rabbits, and ferrets).

So, the question I am running into is how to design clothing so that it looks cool (they usually be mostly covered but sometimes not, like in the case of having a swimsuit or undergarments), but I would assume females of a species would design different top garments if they were able to nurse along the sides of their bodies.

I made this anatomical change because they will be flying creatures and also have protractible scales all over their body that completely cover and protect their vulnerable skin. So it might not make survival sense to be too top heavy (lmao).

How would you design like a Wrap Top / Surplice Top for them so that their covered where they want to be, but not feeling restricted?

I also just dont know much about women's fashion lmao ...

Main character for my comic Baited Cores (working title)

This comic is going to be a short practice comic so before you go down and say oh this is just (insert whatever game or series or anime), I am well aware of the unoriginal nature of this comic and potentially this design. I do not usually do sci-fi techy stuff, so bare with me.

Her working name is thirteen and she is a reliquary. Reliquaries are people who have the remains of saints implanted into their bodies. This is the source of their power along with the suit. Breaking or damaging the relic means they lose access to their abilities, so it is also an Achilles heal for reliquaries. Reliquaries are also not deemed human but can become human through dying in active duty, granting them sainthood.

Her design was supposed to convey her efficiency and no bs attitude as well as her lack of individuality as she does not see herself as anything but her work. Other reliquaries she works with will likely have extra pieces to their suits showing off their personality like unique hairstyles and colors as well as maybe wearing some scarves or gloves etc just things that make them individual.

So, for the background, it's set in a post-apocalyptic earth where these bio mechanical angelic looking beings are attacking humanity. The last remaining humans are within bunkers in cathedrals and churches and the wealthy in their own private bunkers ofc. The last defense against these entities is the reliquaries who are under the churches control.

Im trying not to spend too much time on details and making sense of things because the point of this is to make it happen no matter how bad it is. My goal is year was to make one comic, and I think I am more than capable.

If you're struggling to choose between art styles, my advice is to master realism first. A strong understanding of fundamentals makes it much easier to adapt to stylized work later, rather than the other way around. That's the approach I'm taking, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

thoughts on my indie show character designs?

hey! i've been working on an indie animated show called "MAKYs: Beyond Awesome!" for a while and wanted to get some opinions on the character designs

the show's about 4 teenagers who randomly get superpowers and think they're about to live out their comic book/video game superhero fantasy... until they realize the powers are connected to something WAY bigger than "lol we're superheroes now" they get dragged into a conflict that's completely beyond them and end up becoming the main targets without even knowing why

for the art style i took inspiration from a ton of stuff i grew up with: Panty & Stocking, Ben 10: Omniverse, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Teen Titans, Back to the Future, early 2010s Cartoon Network action shows, classic shonen anime with that over-the-top energy like Beyblade: Metal Fusion and Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!, and even old internet animation like Eddsworld, asdfmovie, Flash animations, Newgrounds, and the general chaotic energy of the late 2000s/early 2010s internet. i wasn't trying to copy any of them, just combine everything that inspired me into something that feels like its own identity

another thing i wanted to do is make every main character a homage to a different part of pop culture each of them has design choices and little references inspired by real pop culture, whether it's cartoons, games, music, internet culture, or other things i grew up with i like hiding those little nods throughout the designs!

my dream is basically to make a show that feels like a modern love letter to that era expressive characters, lots of comedy, pop-punk energy, sci-fi, and a group of teenage friends getting way in over their heads

i'm mostly looking for feedback on the designs themselves

do they feel memorable? do they fit today's indie animation scene? do they feel toyetic? do they make you curious about the characters?

btw, just so you know who's who:

purple = Mazen

orange = Anmar

red = Kenan

green = Yaman

i'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts!
