Anyone heard back on Core Cadre positions?
I only just reopened Frontline yesterday and put in my application last night—I know odds are slim with such a massive sub pool, but I’m curious to know whether cadre positions have already been filled?

I’ve looked on their website and have tried to click the link taking me to the application portal but it says the job is no longer available. I know that the school year hasn’t begun yet so I thought there was still time, but maybe I missed the deadline, which is frustrating because it wasnt clear on their website that there was one. I’m recently post grad so it’s my first time applying for any sort of public school position, so Im not really well informed on this.
Does anyone know any updates/deadlines for these things? Or how I can get a subbing position else where with this license I spent $60 on to now not be hired?
For those on the North Side; I am so livid about this that I literally made a Reddit account to make a post. I needed to rant but also see if anyone might have any more insight. I cannot believe there are only 51 incentive schools and NONE on the North Side. This is absolutely ridiculous. I know for a fact schools like Gale and Jordan are high needs and should definitely still be on there. I don't plan on going back to Gale unless it's an incentive, because that school is awful in so many ways. And there are so many others up there like that. If it weren't for me having a car, idk what I would do, so I can't even imagine how the subs that have to rely on public transport feel about this. Is there a possibility they'll add more if they see that so many schools are short on subs? Is this only a list for new incentives, because I see none of the old ones? I've talked to so many other subs, and they refuse to go back to many schools (like Carter or Burnside for instance) even while they were incentives, so imagine now that they took them off. I understand they are trying to figure out this deficit, but how in the world is this at the best needs for students? What are they going to do when they can't find enough subs? I'm still going to be choosy regardless, because I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on gas for far away schools (in unsafe neighborhoods mind you) if I'm not getting the extra pay. I just REALLY hope I can be a Cadre again this year. I hate this so much. This isn't normal. As subs, if this is it, we need to be more picky with schools as the year goes on, otherwise CPS will keep getting away with things like this!
TLDR; there are many underserved schools in the North Side (Uptown/Edgewater/Rogers Park etc.) who need to keep their incentive status as well as the ones they took away from the South and West Side
hey all! I just had a quick question - I was wondering when do Sub SECA jobs usually start posting on Frontline ? I’ve been getting a few notifications for ADA jobs throughout the day but once I click on the notification it disappears so fast.
basically the title. i told my shift lead at my other job to cut me down from 4 days to 3 because i wanted to work twice a week as a sub seca. should i expect to start seeing shifts available in early september?
I've applied to maybe 30 schools and nothing. A teacher friend also has yet to interview.
Has anyone had one?
Wondering if I can expect to find work during the first couple weeks or if it will take a while for people to start calling out. Thank you in advance
