Discord Soundboard Bot

Hi! I’ve been working on a Discord soundboard project that lets communities upload and manage their own sounds through a web interface and play them directly in voice channels. I’m looking for a few servers interested in testing it and giving feedback. Would this be useful for anyone here?

Verification based on email match?

I know very little of server management, and am helping someone with a solution. So, any suggestions welcome:

Need to invite 1500+ people to a server. What is the most straightforward method to only allow a user to start posting if their email address matches a list (Example: "user email is ABC. ABC email is exists this list/spreadsheet, so they're permitted to post".

Thanks for any recommendations for bots or other solutions.

Bot for tally keeping?

Hello! I'm looking for a bot for easy voting / tally / scoreboard purpose.

The need is for the bot to create polls with 20 options that stay the same, with changing questions, ability for users to vote several options, and to remember the scores.

The purpose is to play a game similar to Never Have I Ever, but with options listed instead of users. Another way of using it would be to ask questions regarding 20 different theme options, such as "which ones feel fresh/appeal to younger audience/etc."

Remove Roles in Voice Channel

Afternoon,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice (I'm not looking for a custom bot from anyone).

I have gaming server with two roles for looking for player pings, let's call them LFG1 and LFG2. Some players have one role, some have both.

I'd like to remove LFG1 and LFG2 when someone joins a voice channel.

When they leave, I'd like to give them back whichever they had, not just simply give them back both.

The reason being, is I'd like to mute the Looking for Game notifications if you're in game.

How can I do this using off the shelf bots?

I built a card collecting bot where every rare has a serial number and a full ownership history. I can't tell if that matters to anyone but me.

I've been building a TCG collecting bot for a few months and I've hit the point where I need people who aren't me to look at it.

The bet the whole thing rests on: most card bots store a collection as counts. You own `charizard: 3`, the same way you own three apples. Mine mints every Rare-or-better pull as its own object with a serial number — #0001 is the first copy ever pulled on the platform — plus an append-only record of everyone who has owned it since. So two people holding "the same" card are not holding the same thing, and a card that has passed through six collectors can show you that it did.

I think that is the interesting part. I am also aware I have spent months on something that might be a designer's fantasy: the kind of feature that reads beautifully in a design doc and that no player ever thinks about again after the first week.

So, the things I actually want to hear:

**1. Does provenance land, or is it invisible?**
If you have played or run a card bot: would you care that your card is #0047 and that you can see who held it before you? Or is a card just a card, and the serial number is noise I have talked myself into?

**2. Is the reveal too slow?**
Each card is rendered server-side and animates — spins, flips, lands face-up — and rarer pulls take longer, up to about four seconds for the top tier. It feels great on pull three. I have genuinely no idea how it feels on pull three hundred, and I am the worst possible judge of that.

**3. Cosmetics-only monetisation — naive or right?**
There is a paid season pass. It gives bonus currency, frames and titles. Pull odds are identical for free and paying players and I do not intend to change that. I would like to know whether people who have run bots think that is sustainable, or whether I am going to find out the hard way.

What is not done yet, so nobody wastes a comment on it: no leaderboards, no achievements, the admin tooling barely exists, and cross-server support is architecturally there but has hardly been tested in anger.

Happy to go into detail on any of it, including how it is built — the economy is a double-entry ledger and trades settle atomically with escrow, which was more work than the fun parts and I am happy to talk about why.

Not linking it here because I am after opinions rather than installs, but I will drop an invite in the comments if anyone wants to poke at it.

Looking for a scheduling bot for finding a common availability of a group

I'm looking for a Discord bot for scheduling pen&paper RPG sessions. Searching for a common free date in a pre-selected group of people is a big problem here - requires synchronization of several people for a long event.

Scheduling bots I have found up to now are focusing on scheduling other way around: creator sets the date, and anyone can join. I want to create an event, add participants and bot should handle the job of asking for and synchronizing dates available for all this people.

The best way that this bot could work is imho something like:

  • Anyone can create an event and become DM (dungeon master) for this event with modification rights
  • DM pre-fills the participant list and/or set's several free slots
  • If free slots were set, other people can click "interested" in response to the event
  • Everyone interested (including DM) will receive query to select their availability in next 4 weeks. I don't need big accuracy here ie: morning, evening, all day. Ideally also option to select "maybe"
  • After getting all responses, bot will show summary of available dates with 3 categories: everyone available, one person cannot attend, best available (the last one only if there is no "everyone free" date, then the dates with the least missing people are served) from which DM can select one
  • No need for calendar synchronization (too much different solutions that different people use)
  • Ideally: bot stores availability of different people so there is no need to click-through availability multiple times, you can just ask bot for query, set up your availability and it will be used in all incoming events and updated if one of DMs confirm the date in event you are enlisted for

It doesn't need to be already hosted bot, I can self-host it on Ubuntu CT.

Supatimer is close to what I need but it's only 1 week and moreover: it strictly requires server admin, that's a no-go requirement without open code and selfhost.

Would you submit your bot at my website for 3€?

I build a discord list website and I tried to get feedback for this website in a post one day ago. The top commentator said, that nothing is free nowadays and you have to pay for that.
So I was asking if you as a discord bot developer would submit your bot at my website for 3€ per Bot (only bots that go through the review and that's not hard if you have a normal bot with slash commands and a help command wich works)

I think the amount is for the time that you need to do this fair for both sides.
Let me know in the comments if you also think so and if you would like to do this

I've been trying to figure out how to make my Discord bot actually grow

I've been working on a Discord game for quite a while now. It's basically a car collecting / RPG game where you can collect cars, race, trade, do jobs, complete achievements, and progress over time.

The game itself has gotten pretty big at this point. There are way more systems than I originally planned to make, and I keep adding things whenever I think of something that could make it more fun.

But honestly, the part I'm struggling with now isn't development.

It's getting people to actually play it.

I've spent a lot of time building and balancing everything, but getting new people to discover it has been surprisingly difficult. I know having a lot of features doesn't necessarily mean people will care about the game, so I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong on the promotion side.

For people who have built Discord bots, games, or other small projects:

How did you actually get your first active users?

Not just people who played once and disappeared, but people who kept coming back.

I'd genuinely appreciate any advice, even if it's criticism. I'm trying to figure out what I should focus on next.

I built a Discord bot with 60+ modules (economy, mod tools, AI companion, mini-games) — looking for feedback

Hey r/DiscordBots,

I've spent the last several months building Nexus Bot solo — an all-in-one bot with a web dashboard for config. Wanted to share it here and get some honest feedback before pushing it further.

What's in it:

  • Moderation: anti-raid (new-account filtering, join-flood detection), auto-mod with escalating sanctions, a community "tribunal" where members vote on reports, tickets, audit log
  • Economy & progression: currency, shop, XP/leveling, leaderboard, reputation
  • Games: UNO, Blackjack, Connect 4, Tic-Tac-Toe, Hangman, Trivia, Wordle-style, blind-test, and a few more
  • Community: welcome/onboarding flows, birthdays, confessions, role menus, giveaways, polls
  • AI: a Claude-powered companion members can chat with, custom "characters" that talk through webhooks, AI-assisted moderation insights
  • Everything's configurable from a web dashboard — no digging through 15 channels to change a setting

It's free, with an optional premium tier for servers that want unlimited custom commands / extra slots on some modules.

Invite: [ton lien]

Would genuinely appreciate feedback — bugs, anything clunky, features you'd expect that are missing. Happy to answer questions about how any of it works too.

ISO Bot: Quest + Points + Customizable

I am in search of a bot that will send out daily, weekly, or monthly “quest” or “challenges”.

Server members will complete the challenge and then earn points (not necessary for the points to be redeemed for something in app, I just need a leaderboard to see who has the most points)

Something similar to the bot I have pictured would be great.

Bonus: if the bot could be customized with a custom photo and name, that would be great.
