Does anyone know how Xasthur does his vocals?

I can imagine that he applied a lot of distortion to his voice and probably scooped out the lows and mids using EQ. Does anyone know anything about his vocal technique?

This is my very first release, don't judge harshly. At the time of creating the music from this EP, I did not know how to mix music and work with the sound from the word at all. But soon there will be a second one and everything is much better there. I really want to be heard by at least someone, and I will be pleased with any feedback and criticism. All the best.

[Self Promo] Schism's End - My first ever Raw/DSBM demo. Recorded vocals inside a wardrobe, drums are literal baking trays.

I just released the very first demo of my one-man experimental black metal project, Schism's End. It’s a purely alcohol- and drug-free approach, offering a primal sonic catharsis born from isolation.

I did everything entirely by myself with zero budget and zero help. I play a white guitar I call "Dead Angel," and guitars were recorded directly from the amp via my phone. For the drums, I used wooden spoons, plastic containers, and baking trays I found around the house. Vocals were recorded in a single take inside a wardrobe while wrapped in a blanket to capture that suffocating feeling.

Since I'm a beginner guitarist, it is extremely raw, unedited, and flawed. But it is honest. If you are into raw, lo-fi, and depressive sounds, I'd appreciate it if you gave it a listen.

Looking for a missing friend

Hello. First of all, i'd like to clarify that i'm not very involved with the whole DSBM music genre, however, I have a friend who's very into it. I met him last year and we really got along, we didn't talked very often but I enjoyed my conversarions with him.

For a bit of context, I met him from a videogame project of his, alongside with his DSBM music channel. From what he told me, his life was bloody awful, and composing DSBM was a perfect way for him to express all of the terrible things he had to go trough.

About 3 or 4 months ago we spoke for the last time. He texted me trough Discord that his computer had stopped working, and he seemed really frustrated about it. He had lost a lot of work on his projects, especially his music. Ever since them, he hasn't been around. At first, I thought he just needed some time, but I've been checking his socials and his YouTube channel and he hasn't been online.

I've had friends who go missing from time to time, but honestly, given his mental health and everything else, I'm very afraid of the worst case scenario. I know i'm probably being too paranoid or too anxious about the whole thing, but I really need to know if he's okay, and I don't know where else to look for.

If anyone knows him or his whereabouts, or at least if he's fine, his artist name is Lifegonedsbm on YouTube, but he also goes around by the usernames of ALKOHOLISM or C2H5OH.

Bands with merch on Bandcamp?

Do you guys know any bands that sell their own merch on Bandcamp and you actually bought from them before? Or even outside of Bandcamp. Lately I’ve been trying to find shirts from bands I listen to (Sterbend, Funeral Misanthropia, The Lonely etc…) but I can barely find anything. Looking mostly for smaller bands (but not only!!!) with legit merch stores. Thanks :)

Recording vocals for new track

Hey everyone! In this video, I'm performing an excerpt from a track off my upcoming album, "Decapitated Soul." About three months ago, I started my black metal project, and just recently, on April 24th, I released my debut 4-track EP. Due to my lack of experience in mixing and tracking instruments, it didn't turn out quite how I wanted.
