Your favorite SPACESHIP from any piece of media that includes spaceships?

Man for me, it’s the Ebon Hawk from the two SW:KOTOR games.

What is your stance on Melo-Death / which VARIANT of Melo-Death do you prefer ?

Are you someone who tends to either lean into the side of melo-death that keeps more of the aggression and heaviness and barely / never uses clean vocals or into the side of melo-death which lays down some of the heaviness in favor for more cleans and more melody ?

Me personally, I prefer heavier melo-death without clean vocals with bands such as : Intestine Baalism, Arch Enemy (from Johan Liiva until Angela Gossow Doomsday Machine era) , Quo Vadis, at the gates, nightrage, cenotaph, arsis and other bands.

Let me know your opinion, as I’m genuinely curious :)

Albums where the flow is disrupted by ONE SINGLE SONG.

These two albums are perfect examples. Both cracked brain, and By Inheritance are some of my favorite albums off all time. But on both albums there is ONE song which horribly disrupts the flow - I always leave out those songs.

For destruction it’s the cover of “My Sharona”

And for Artillery it’s the cover of “Razamanaz”

A playlist with prog-metal bands FFO Tool :)

Okay, so. Recently I started working on a YT Music playlist with prog metal bands that carry on EXACTLY the essence of tool. Ive always found tool to be an extremely one of a kind band (as many others probably do) so I was extremely positively pleased by how ‘many’ other bands carry on this sound so magnificently.
The bands I have on the playlist :

Tool themselves (ofc), A perfect circle, Soen, Kolm, Lucid Planet, Source, Prisma, Vulkan and Wheel.

If anybody would happen to know more bands to suggest, PLEASE go ahead :)

Bands where you find the first two albums to be okay BUT were suddenly blown away by the third release?

Personally, for me it’s Sanguisugabogg.
Their first two albums Tortured whole and homicidal ecstasy had always been… boring, and painfully mid / okay for me. Never something that interested me. More something I’d listen to once out of curiosity and then never again, but their newest album Hideous Aftermath genuinely surprised with how fucking good it is. It’s dynamic, and genuinely engaging to listen to with some absolutely sick moments that make me wanna break my back while headbanging.
