Hello! I have a problem
i emulated need for speed high stakes for PS1 and i see a tutorial for the complete edition but the Duckstation don't let me play some good person could help me? Pls coment

Duckstation on my RP Mini is opening its menu everytime I press START in game as it reads that input as ESC, I just want START to open PSX menu as the Back Arrow Button can open the Duckstation menu anyway so START can be free, I can see this is a common problem, is this really the only way to fix:
So first I need to confirm: there is not hotkey set up that is tying START to open Duckstation menu, and there is no where to reprogram open Duckstation menu to a different button because of it.
So is this really the only way to fix this or is AI having me on:
- Export the Settings file:
- Open the standalone DuckStation app.
- Tap the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top-left corner and go to App Settings.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the list and look for Transfer Data (or Backup/Export Settings).
- Tap Export Data. Save this backup file somewhere easy to find, like your main Downloads folder.
- Edit the file:
- Open your normal Android Files/File Manager app and go to your Downloads folder.
- Look for the DuckStation backup file you just made (it will be a
.zipor a raw file). If it's a.zip, click it to extract it. - Open the
settings.initext file using any basic text editor app on your Retroid. - Use the find/search function to search for
OpenPauseMenu. - You will see the line hijacking your control pad:
OpenPauseMenu = Controller1/ButtonStart. - Change that line to exactly this:
OpenPauseMenu =(Delete everything after the equals sign so it is completely blank). - Save the text file and close it.
- Import it back into DuckStation:
- Go back into the DuckStation app.
- Go to App Settings -> Transfer Data (at the bottom).
- Tap Import Data. Select the newly edited text file from your Downloads folder.
Once the import completes, DuckStation will instantly drop its hold on the physical Start button. When you load up Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil, your physical Start button will pause the game internally just like a real PS1 controller, while your hardware back arrow button retains full control of the emulator menu.

Xbox Series X controller not working on Duckstation
I can't seem to bind any keys even though Duckstation says it's a Detected Device
My controller has worked on this computer several times so I don't understand why I can't bind any controls

Need help setting up the emulator
Good day to all! I need help setting up the emulator specifically for the FF8 game, no matter what I do, the picture doesn't turn out very well anyway.
Eg:
- In battle with monsters, the image of the characters is doubled, especially noticeable in the cave of the Ifrit.
- Crooked smoothing of 2D backdrops, although, for example, in Front Mission 3, where everything is displayed well in honest 3D.
- I have attached screenshots, including my settings.
- There are similar problems with the background, for example, in Koudelka, and I can't improve the clarity in any way.
- PS The attached settings are made through the game properties, not the global settings.

I switch to disc 2 and it goes to the 2nd disc but it's just a black screen.

Why did Silent hill stop working on my Mac?
So, I’ve been playing Silent hill with Duckstation on my MacBook Air. It all worked perfectly until I got to the church. Right when the woman starts speaking, the screen freezes and the screen looks like this. I’ve tried to change the settings, but nothing I’ve tried works and I don’t know if it’s a Duckstation, ISO or Bios issue.
Posting this here to hopefully get some help or at least some answers. Really liking the game so far, so it’d be such a shame for it not to work anymore…

Which BIOS files do I need?
Hello. Sorry if this has been asked countless times before, but I don’t know whether there are obvious websites to avoid, and I don’t want to download viruses. I would really appreciate help with this.
(I’m using a Lenovo laptop with Windows 11; I downloaded DuckStation from duckstation.org just today, so I’m assuming it’s the most recent version.)
People in this subreddit have said to go to Internet Archive, but I’m not sure what files to download from there.
A website called psbios.me says ‘Download PS1 BIOS Files for All Regions — USA, PAL, NTSC, NGSC-J’. It presents four download options:
* SCPH1001.BIN (USA)

* SCPH5500.BIN (Japan)
* SCPH7003.BIN (Worldwide)

Are the psbios.me files the correct files? If so, should I download them from there, or from Internet Archive?
Also, the Wizard seems to want NTSC-J, NTSC-U/C, and PAL. Is the Worldwide one unnecessary?
If all of these are incorrect, what should I download instead?

Looking for MGS1 (PS1) Save File - Big Boss Rank (Extreme Difficulty)
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a save file for the original Metal Gear Solid (PS1) on Extreme difficulty to finish off a Big Boss rank run
My own run hit a wall, and I'm looking for a save at the last segment of the game (ideally right before escaping Shadow Moses or fighting with liquid)
I am using Duckstation, so a .mcd, .gme or .mcr file would be perfect
If anyone has a save like this tucked away on a memory card file, you'd be saving my life! Thanks!

Is there a way to add scalefx to duckstation?
I moved scalefx shader from retroarch inside shades and didn't work. Does it need a specific file format or be at a certain folder?
I use this shared in swanstation and want to use use it now on the latest duckstation since swanstation which is the core of duckstation for retroarch is outdated.

Re2 dualshock Claire A no cheat codes for claire
As the title says. I like playing claire A/leon B. But when I look at the pre loaded codes I only see cheats for leon. I've tried activating leons to see if she would get it but it doesn't work. And I can't figure out for the life of me how to get some of hers. If anyone could help that would be great
