Anyone who's ridden or had experience with this board, please give me an honest review of its performance and quality. What are the pros and cons? How often does it break?
First of all - i do not recommend doing this!
After first attempt I discovered that I strongly need water cooling for ESC because it is too hot in an electric box. So I ordered another, water cooled, ESC from Flipsky, model 75200.
Main reason why it's possible for LiftFoils board is on picture of 12 pin molex mini fit - pin one is a standard PWM signal, pin two is GND for pwm. Pin nine is GND for 9v battery, pin 10 is +9v. Others don't in use.
Other connectors stay as is.
I rearranged everything inside an electric box, made new 3D printed plates for ESC and communication pcb. Changed original quick connectors on waterlines because the original has too small inner diameter (2.5 mm) that is not great for flow and cooling. Add additional esp32 c3 mini for Bluetooth communication with VESC.
VESC settings - standard initialization procedure. As input set ppm and uart, as control set current without brake. Number of poles is 16, ERPM for now limited to 15000, current limited to 100A for now.

i see both are same price. seems efoil is bulkier with the fins underneath. a jetboard looks more compact. so why 1 over another?

Posted about a week ago asking if I should pull the trigger on an eFoil. After several helpful comments, someone local actually reached out and offered to let me try out his Fliteboards.
We went out today and I had a blast! Managed to get up and flying quickly, and definitely took some falls.
Safe to say I'll be picking up a board of my own soon! Huge thanks to this community, and especially to the guy who took me out. Cheers
Hello all. I have been going down the rabbit hole of watersports and find myself in a situation where I’m not sure what my best options are. So to simplify my problem. I enjoy wakeboarding and have done it for many years, but I have nobody to tow me around as I have gotten older. This is where I found out about efoiling. Although that looks very fun my two issues are cost(10k+) and water depth. I would only be using it in freshwater lakes so I would be afraid to bring it close to shore. I found the Goyojo v-rs and it seems to tick most of the boxes I’m looking for. I am roughly 250lbs at 6’1” so it should be able to hold me. Battery life seems like 1 hour which isn’t terrible. The one thing holding me back is that I can’t find too much information besides their own website and some ad sites selling it as well. There is one detailed YouTube video on it, but he received it for free and has a discount code so I’m not sure how reliable that review is. Although it is cheaper than efoils it still would be in the upper 7k price range so I am hesitant to just try and see what happens. If anyone has any onsite on this board or others that might be good I would appreciate it.
Does anyone else struggle with sometimes getting the board flooded a bit such that the signal to the remote disconnects and the motor immediately cuts out causing a nose down crash? I have a Waydoo Evo Pro Plus. It really leaves me constantly concerned of a power cut and bail out.

Looking at getting into the sport, and it seems there's really limited information online comparing these two boards. I'm hoping to hear from people who made the decision between the two — what convinced you to go with one over the other? Would also love to hear from anyone who's ridden both and can speak to the differences.
A bit about me: I live in Miami and I'm looking to do long rides, ~15–20 miles, circling Key Biscayne, going from downtown Miami to Virginia Key, etc. Ideally I'd also like a board that can handle at least some swell/surf at the beach occasionally.
I recently purchased a lift efoil used and have been loving it. I want to ride it in more places so I’m looking to register it. I live in Northern California and need a MCO and bill of sale. I have the bill of sale, but the original owner lost the MCO.
I’ve reached out to lift support, but so far all they’ve said is I need to get it from the previous owner. Has anyone been able to get a replacement MCO from lift? Or is there another way?

Just want to share how I carry a fully assembled efoil without the battery. The tube thing is just a cushion for barbell used in the gyms. This make carrying it much easier.
Imagine cruising at 26 MPH on a brand new, $14,000 Lift X eFoil when suddenly—BAM. Your mast hits a submerged tree so hard it tears completely off the board.
Worse part? It wasn't even my board. It was a demo unit entrusted to me by Lift.

Back in September 2025 XFoil, after delays and many false promises XFoil announced XFoil2 was SHIPPING. At the same time they launched a new kickstarter campaign. But as is always the case with XFoil and PLX it was lie, a falsehood and misleading claim. Today, 9 months later and most (possibly all) backers are still waiting.....See screen shot from September 2025 and latest comments.
I live next to a calm lake in MN. I'm mid thirties, love snowboarding and wakeboarding and think an electric wakeboard type experience would be amazing. Haven't tried an efoil before but am thinking about just pulling the trigger on a Waydoo. Do you think I'll regret spending $7k on a sport I haven't tried?
Will I have fun the first time or will it take a few to get a hold of it?
Bonus question, can I cruise around with little kids on it with me?

I would love to connect them to my phone through Bluetooth but I understand they lose connection when I fall in the water. I have a Fliteboard Ultra. Any ideas of where I can store my phone?
Had issue with my efoil board yesterday. I have two of them and they were lying next to each other. One started fine bit when i had put in the battery got it to blue light and the right noise and then when i activated the control nit touching it! I went into full speed! Quite dangerous. What could have triggered this
