EA Permanently Banned Me for “Coin Distribution” — I Was Trading on the Transfer Market

# EA Banned Me for “Coin Distribution” — But Where Is the Evidence?

On August 6, 2026, EA permanently banned my EA SPORTS FC account for “Coin Distribution.”

I strongly dispute this accusation.

I have never intentionally bought, sold, or distributed FC/FUT coins. My activity involved playing the game and using the Transfer Market, including buying and selling valuable player items for profit.

I appealed the sanction. The answer was essentially that EA had reviewed the account and the decision would remain.

But there is one fundamental problem:

What exactly did I do?

I was not told which transaction supposedly constituted “Coin Distribution.”

Was it a specific player?

A specific price?

A particular purchase or sale?

What behavior supposedly proved that I was transferring coins rather than legitimately trading?

EA has access to the complete transaction history and the data used to make its decision. The player does not.

I understand that EA cannot reveal its entire detection system. That would make it easier for people attempting to exploit the game.

But there is a huge difference between protecting an anti-fraud system and providing zero meaningful information about the alleged violation.

A permanent ban is an extremely serious punishment. If legitimate Transfer Market trading can sometimes look suspicious to an automated detection system, then there must be a reliable way to distinguish legitimate trading from intentional coin distribution.

And this is not just my concern.

The FC community has repeatedly discussed players receiving Coin Distribution or Transfer Market sanctions after claiming they were simply trading. There are even reports of sanctions being reversed after further review.

That raises an uncomfortable question:

How many legitimate players could be incorrectly classified before the system is considered a problem?

I am not asking EA to stop fighting coin sellers.

They absolutely should fight:

* Coin buying and selling

* Coin transfers

* Bots

* Account manipulation

* Market abuse

* Third-party services

The issue is accountability.

If EA is confident that its detection is correct, then a legitimate manual review should be able to establish why.

Tell me which transaction was considered suspicious.

Tell me what rule that transaction supposedly violated.

Give me an opportunity to explain it.

If the evidence demonstrates intentional coin distribution, I will accept the consequences.

But if the evidence only shows unusual or profitable Transfer Market activity, then a permanent ban should not be the answer.

“We reviewed your account and the decision remains” is a decision — not an explanation.

EA has every right to protect Ultimate Team.

Players should also have the right to know that the system protecting the game is capable of distinguishing a cheater from a legitimate trader.

So I have one simple question for EA and for the FC community:

Can EA's enforcement system reliably distinguish legitimate Transfer Market trading from Coin Distribution — and if so, why can't a banned player be shown the specific conduct that resulted in a permanent sanction?

Advice for an account ban?

Permanent EA ban for “System Abuse” after not playing for over a year, appeal denied within minutes

I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what I can do here.

I recently logged back into my EA account after not playing for over a year, only to find that my account has a permanent ban for “System Abuse.” I genuinely have no idea what this is referring to or what I supposedly did.

I submitted an appeal through EA, but it was denied within just a few minutes. I’m confused how my case could have been properly reviewed that quickly, especially since I was asking about a permanent ban that I don’t understand.

I haven’t been actively using the account for over a year, so I’m also wondering if there’s any possibility that the account was compromised or that something happened while I wasn’t using it.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any way to get a manual review or speak to an actual EA representative after an appeal has already been denied?
I’m not trying to get around a legitimate punishment—I genuinely want to understand what happened and have someone actually look into the account.

I can provide screenshots of the ban and appeal decision if that helps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Support ticket doesn't really punish this?!

OK SO, the other day me and my m8 were in a ranked match and this guy went on for TEN ENTIRE minutes complaining abt us, but if it stopped there it would have been fine: we wouldn't even have cared. THE ISSUE is that in those 10 minutes he yelled and TEXTED in the chat (things that should easily be retrievable form EA, am I right?) R#PE, P#DO and R#CIST DE#TH THREATS (aand the usual "you're getting banned, I know how the system works bla bla bla") and seriously adding the !S!S organization to the whole thing, saying muslims would "do things" to italians and so on. The thing became uncomfortable EVEN TO US, so that I started clipping 3 minutes of it, made a couple of screenshots and uploaded the whole thing to a Google Drive folder, which is this:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wfUP-IEPAgEOQXK-_tNJ7QMY_Icfj8_F?usp=sharing
You can find the whole video in there, because I wouldn't be able to embed it there as well.
I can start embedding the things he texted WHILE saying them out loud in the voice chat AND the EA response after I sent a ticket, which just means the completely ignored the whole thing and took the easiest way out, which to me is just EMBARRASING and lame to hear coming from a company as big as them. I don't really know what I expected to be his punishment, but still not NOTHING AT ALL?!

my Apex account got banned and I have no idea why

2 days ago i logged onto Apex for the first time in around 7 days. A week and 2 days ago my account got compromised, the email had been changed btu i worked with EA support to get my account back. I didn't play apex until 2 days ago when I tried to open the game and i was instantly banned for using gameplay enhancement. Except I didn't even know what gameplay enhancement was until then, and I also didn't use it. I sent two appeal, and they were both denied with the same ai generated response, and now im genuinely upset because i just started playing, and I spent 40 hours getting to ranked, and I don't plan to make a new account to do all that shit any time soon, so is there anything I can do?

The EA servers are not available at this time. Please try again later.

Anyone else running into this issue? I downloaded yesterday on Xbox and keep getting this message. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, quit and rebooted, and nothing. I’m not seeing any outages on EA servers.

CFB27 won't launch, crashes right after anti-cheat (0xC0000409), and doesn't even show as "Owned" in my EA account library

UPDATE: Solved by deleting CryptBase.dll file and clearing Steam cache

Been dealing with this for several weeks now and EA support hasn't been much help, so trying here too in case anyone's hit the same thing or a mod/staff member can point me in the right direction.

TLDR: College Football 27 gets through the EA Javelin anti-cheat load, then just closes. No error message in the game itself, but Windows Event Viewer shows exit code 0xC0000409 every single time, right at that point.

A few things that make me think this is on EA's end rather than my PC:

- On EA's own help site, my account library shows every other EA game I own with an "Owned" badge, except CFB27, even though I bought it and have played it before.

- Running EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe manually to try to force a reinstall of the anti-cheat, it lists Madden, FC, Battlefield, etc as available games, but CFB27 isn't even an option in the list, despite being fully installed.

- Maybe 1 in 10 attempts, it prompts me to log into Origin mid-launch, and if I do, the game actually opens and works. But if I close it and reopen right after, same crash again, no new login prompt that time.

What I've already ruled out (so please don't suggest these, I promise I've done them): full uninstall/reinstall, verified integrity, Secure Boot and TPM confirmed on, not in Windows Test Mode, not on an Insider/Preview Windows build (checked directly), latest Windows update installed, VC++ redistributables all current, all overlay/RGB/OC software closed, mods fully removed and unpatched through Frosty (this started after modding + a game update, but I've completely reverted that).

I've got a whole EA forums thread with a support rep going through screenshots and DxDiag if anyone wants the full history. At this point it feels like something's off with how my account is registered for this specific game rather than anything fixable on my computer. Anyone else run into this, or know how to get EA to actually look at the account side of it?

How is this still an issue/bug??

We are on Madden 27, it’s 2026. This glitch precedes me graduating from high school. I’m going into my third year of college. How is it that this is a consistent issue across years and has NEVER received a fix? It ruins franchises for me. It takes away from the already lackluster realism.

EA Locked Me Out of My Paid Account — Even Though I Still Have Access to It

EA’s account recovery system failed a paying customer — and this is how you treat legitimate customers?

I want other EA customers to know what happened before they continue spending money with this company.

I am a long-term paying EA customer. I own 55 pieces of The Sims 4 DLC and have spent a significant amount of money on EA products over the years. I have always chosen to purchase games and content legitimately, and I was fully prepared to continue buying EA products in the future.

I recently purchased a $2,451 gaming PC specifically so I could continue playing my games on Windows.

Then I discovered that I could not access my EA Account on my new PC because the email address attached to my account is an old email address that I no longer have access to.

Here is what makes this situation ridiculous:

I know my EA Account password.

I still had access to the SAME EA Account on my old Mac.

My games were still working normally on that computer.

My current phone number is linked to my EA Account.

EA itself displayed my current phone number as a verification option.

My account showed trusted devices.

I was not asking to recover some random account. I was trying to log into my own account on a new computer.

I tried to update my email address from inside my already authenticated account, and EA’s own verification system repeatedly returned:

“Something went wrong. Try again later.”

I contacted EA Support and provided genuine purchase information and screenshots. These were real purchases made by me.

I was told that the information was not sufficient/matching enough and that I should contact support again with a new case.

So I did.

My husband independently contacted EA Support and went through the same process, providing the same legitimate information. He received essentially the same result.

At one point, EA’s own system showed my current phone number as a verification method, but the SMS verification process also failed.

So let me understand this:

I know my password.

I have access to the account on my existing device.

I have access to the current phone number linked to the account.

I own the games and content on that account.

I provided proof of genuine purchases.

And yet EA’s solution is essentially: prove that you are the owner again, using information you may no longer have access to, and if our verification system doesn’t accept what you provide, start the process over.

I understand the need to protect accounts from hackers. I understand why EA needs security measures.

But security should not mean making it practically impossible for a legitimate paying customer to recover their own account.

EA spends enormous amounts of money fighting piracy and encouraging customers to purchase games legitimately.

I did exactly that.

I paid for my games.
I paid for my content.
I kept buying from EA.
I was prepared to keep buying from EA.

And when I encountered a genuine account-access problem, instead of helping me retain a paying customer, EA’s recovery system effectively pushed me away.

You didn’t lose a customer because I couldn’t afford your products. You lost a customer because your account recovery process made me regret paying for them.

I am not asking EA for free content.

I am not asking for someone else’s account.

I am asking for access to an account and content that I already paid for.

If this is how EA treats legitimate customers who have invested significant amounts of money into its ecosystem, people deserve to know about it before they make the same investment.

Your anti-piracy system should not make legitimate customers feel like they would have been better off never paying in the first place.

The Sims 3 CPU multiplier experiment and help needed.

Hello! I’ve been experimenting with the adjustedCPU calculation in The Sims 3’s GraphicsRules.sgr, and I noticed an unexpected change in how quickly textures loaded with all graphic settings turned up to their maximum (except edge smoothing).

——/——

Disclaimer:

This does not overclock the actual CPU or make the physical processor faster. It only changes the CPU-performance value that the game calculates and records in DeviceConfig.log, possibly resulting in slight performance improvements while in live gameplay. Speculation of desired outcome may be due to adjustedcpu speed being reported in an unknown coding reference yet to be discovered or widely published by the TS3 community as tested.

——/——

The Test:

My DeviceConfig showed a CPU Speed of 3072, an Adjusted CPU of 3696, and a CPU rating of 4/Uber (I had to force this cpu class tier, as it was originally marked as a 3). By “default” the graphicsrules file multiplies my CPU Speed by 1.3334 then subtracts 400. Found in the section below:

“seti adjustedCPU $cpuSpeed
if ($cpuCount >= 2)
if ($pentium4)
seti adjustedCPU (round($adjustedCPU \* 1.1667))
else
seti adjustedCPU (round($adjustedCPU \* 1.3334))
endif
else
seti adjustedCPU (round($adjustedCPU \* 1))
endif
if ($osMajorVersion >= 6)
seti adjustedCPU (($adjustedCPU)-(400))
else
seti adjustedCPU $adjustedCPU
endif”

Editing the graphicsrules file, I first removed the old 400-point Windows penalty, bringing the Adjusted CPU value to 4096. Once live gameplay was tested and visually unaffected in terms of negative performance, with the adjustedcpu value of 4096 being reported in deviceconfig, I then began increasing the multiplier.

At a multiplier of 2, the game remained smooth and texture pop-in seemed slightly faster. At 4, texture loading seemed progressively faster, yet still yielding very minor improvements to the speeds of object rendering of mold/models, then each of their textures. Increasing it to 8 produced little to no additional improvement over 4.

I also tested a ridiculous multiplier of 20,000,000,000, which caused the value to overflow and appear as -2147483648. For my reported CPU Speed of 3072, the largest whole-number multiplier that kept the calculated result below the signed 32-bit integer limit was 699,050. That produced an Adjusted CPU value of approximately 2,147,481,600, and texture pop-in again appeared noticeably fast during testing. Object molds/models, then their textures still remained with noticeable lag lasting a few seconds despite reported improvement.

I am not claiming that an enormous number magically gives the game more processing power to communicate with. My system was already classified as Uber, so increasing the value had no effect on the basic CPU tiered ratings of 1-4. Another part of the engine may reference adjustedCPU speed, but the difference could also come from cached textures, repeatedly loading the same save, or ordinary testing variance/phenomenon from the higher adjustedcpu speed. Nonetheless, tests were conducted on an existing game save, with objects loading faster regardless of caches being cleared through Regul save cleaner or not.

Would be interested to see if anyone else notices similar improvements.

——/——

My current specs:

I am playing The Sims 3 on a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i with an Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX Processor (E-cores up to 4.60 GHz P-cores up to 5.40 GHz), 32 GB DDR5-6400MT/s (CSODIMM) - (2 x 16 GB), Solid State Drive 1 TB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 TLC, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070 Ti Laptop GPU 12GB GDDR7.

All graphic settings found in the game’s options menu are turned all the way up. Edge smoothing is off. Object hiding is off. Advanced Rendering and Animation Smoothing is on.

——/——

Other quality vs performance tweaks and mods:

Before this test, I have played around with various values in graphicsrules and downloaded every notable mod to increase the performance and quality of The Sims 3, yet i still experience lag when it comes to lots being triggered to load with their active level of detail (LOD), objects loading on their lots (grey object molds/models then textures popping in), the camera panning faster than distant objects loading, and slight hitching with camera movement.

The biggest annoyance is the objects loading slowly… I hate having to wait for the gray furniture to finish being upholstered, regardless if it only takes a few seconds.

In graphicsrules, I have…
1.) tweaked graphicsrules texturememory to both 4096 and 8192, finding that 8192 tends to be more stable with objects loading fairly decent and no visual glitches.

2.) tweaked graphicsrules high texture quality, changing texturesizethreshold 2048 to both 1024 and 4092. No major performance changes between 1024 and the default 2048. Objects seemed to load slightly slower with the default 2048 changed to 4192, but loaded more objects at one time. Texturesizethreshold was reverted to 2048.

3.) tweaked graphicsrules high texture quality, changing rttsizesmall and rttsizelarge from their default values of 256 and 512. Rttsizesmall and its default value of 256 increased to 512 showed some negative impact on objects rendering. Rttsizelarge and its default value of 512 increased to 1024 showed little to no negative impact. Rttsizesmall was reverted to 256, rttsizelarge reverted to 512.

4.) Tweaked graphicsrules high texture quality, changing TrilinearEnabled and AnisoEnabled to false. I use the settings through my nvidia control panel for gpu optimization.

5.) tweaked graphicsrules very high simquality, changing CASLightMapWidth from default 1024 to 2048. No performance changes. CASlightmapwidth was reverted to 1024.

6.) tweaked graphicsrules very high simquality, changing CASRenderTargetSize from default 2048 to 4096. Not sure if due to existing save file or high quality default replacement cc, but default 2048 caused visual glitching primarily of default hair replacements.

7.) tweaked graphicsrules very high simquality, changing the RenderSimTextureSizes from default 2048, 2048, 512, 12 to 2560, 2048, 512, 12 and 2560, 2560, 512, 12 and 2560, 2048, 1024, 512, and etc., for increased rendering of sim level of detail during live gameplay. Major visual glitching occurred with all changed values, resulting in clay-like poor resolution sims being shown in the world and sim portrait seen in the UI click-bubble popup. RenderSimTextureSizes were reverted to default 2048, 2048, 512, 12. However changes to the RenderSimLODDistances are still viable in exchange for negative performance impacts and possible large memory crashes.

8.) tweaked graphicsrules resourcegroup resources memCacheBudgetValue, increasing default value to 3900000000. I saw this somewhere during one late night of game research, noticed performance improvements.

9.) tweaked graphicsrules high lighting quality, changing shadowmapsize default value to 4096. No performance impact noticed.

10.) tweaked graphicsrules high lighting quality, changing interiorlightprobecount default value to 20. Lighting takes a longer to fully load into a room but does make visual quality improvement.

11.) tweaked graphicsrules high general reflections, changing WaterReflectionAreaThreshold from its default value to 50. No major performance impact but does makes visual quality improvement.

In terms of notable performance mods, I have downloaded…
1.) NRAAS master controller, overwatch, errortrap, relativity, etc., pretty much very mod they have. One major performance impact other than overwatch and errortrap is the relativity mod! Slowing down the world time to 1/2 - 2/3 allows slightly more headroom for gaming simulations to take place. Think slower time, slower tasks, less to do actions, less possibilities for multiple sims to find something to do at once and so quick.
2.) The Sims 3 Setting Setter (S3SS) and Smooth Patch Package file. I normally set my ticks per second (TPS) to 960, and my frames per second to 60. I have nearly every performance setting on, including the experimental ones like the GC’s. I turned off the uncompressed compositor textures since using TurboTravel again… not sure there is much point and might cause computing bloat.
3.) DXVK. People swear by it so I tried it again. I put my maxavailablememory to 8192 and texturememory to 512. Yes, I know texturememory is recommended at 100 but noticed improvements with 256 and 512 since using TurboTravel.
4.) TurboTravel. This is less well known but made major improvements on my old laptop with a dual pentium 1.8 processor and integrated hd gpu. This application essentially decompresses all of the games core package files found in each of the EP folders. The idea behind this, from what I gathered, is by decompressing all the world assets and objects, your cpu does most of the major processing when first loading your save files.
5.) OhRudi’s less space routing mods. Your sims get less stuck, causing less back up on the game simulation.

——/——

Personal Rant:

Please add your own comments into the mix, but EA seriously needs to release a 64bit version of The Sims 3 for windows. While I know the Mac 64 version has its own problems, the 32bit architecture is the games biggest hindrance. The common crashing from the memory load of default uber settings is not just a bug, it’s indicative that the game needed to be optimized before even being sold and needs it so much more now that high quality cc and gaming rigs are more than capable than the actual game itself.

Considering the only reason why The Sims 3 exists as a 64bit for mac is because of sales and profit vs technology compatibility, I am surprised that EA is still able to sell The Sims 3 for Windows PC devices. Other than the minuscule headroom of default uber settings against memory load crashing, the game was never updated to include new CPU and GPU’s, or even a better way to classify future ones.

The consumers who purchase The Sims 3 must rely on third-party, gaming community sponsored, aftermarket, and outside the means of original manufacturers/developers intended modifications in order for the game to launch, properly recognize computer components for normal gameplay not outside the consumers respective technology, and optimize its ability towards memory reading/writing and/or caching to prevent memory load crashing.

Not only did EA abandon its manufacturing/developer duty to ensure a properly functioning product unless otherwise noted long before technology outpaced sims 3 and EA fully switched over to ts4, most of their current expansions are simply piecemeal concepts of The Sims 3, featured 1 and 2 objects every so often, just available for much less stuff and more money…

With the craze behind inzoi and paralives, I really just think their gaming success is where EA fell flat between The Sims 3 and The Sims 4. Each game has their pro’s and con’s. Sims 3 was the peak of crazy fun real life gaming placed into an open world, never tapping into a 64bit architecture that could’ve led it to become even more iconic than a few years.

The Sims 4 closed gamers back to their neighborhoods, going against the whole original release behind its prequel that people leave their house to live life, tapping into 64bit technology to make visually better textures and animations; the exchange also being that consumers are ripped off to everything the community was once offered for their money, making their gamer experience extremely pay-to-play with more transactions with less stuff offered. Seems to be more geared towards Create-a-sim and Build/Buy rather than live gameplay…

Inzoi is really what the sims 3 could’ve been with an open world experience, just hyper realistic and with the oversimplification of life gaming seen with the Sims 4. Once you get to live gameplay, it’s not uncommon to get bored after so long. Also, why do we have an AI texture creator? Regardless of local or not, let’s really think about the rise of AI dependency within the gaming industry on both the creators and gamers side of things.

Paralives is giving the immersion that the sims 3 offered in live gameplay, but doesn’t feature much craziness. It picks up better on the diverse wants of gamers when it comes to building. In versus to Inzoi, it’s a more wholesome life game rather than hyper real.

——/——

ANYWAYS lol
I would love to hear the opinions, advice, and other things people have done to make the sims 3 so much better, especially anything towards object rendering! Feel free to ask questions also.

EA Account Hacked, Email Changed, and EA Support Keeps Sending Me in an AI/Login Loop

My EA Account was compromised, and I’m honestly extremely frustrated with how difficult EA has made the recovery process.

The attacker changed the email address associated with my EA Account without my authorization. I still have access to the original phone number that was linked to the account, but I believe the attacker may also have changed the 2FA/security settings.

I followed EA’s official hacked-account recovery instructions:
https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/secure-hacked-account/

The problem is the "Contact Us" process.

Instead of connecting me with an actual support advisor, the EA AI keeps asking questions that don't solve the problem. When I explain that my account was hacked and the email was changed, it eventually redirects me back to the EA login page.

How am I supposed to recover an account when the attacker changed the email and security settings, and EA's recovery flow requires me to log in?

This is a pretty serious security/account-recovery problem.

I am not asking EA to bypass security. I am asking EA to actually VERIFY my ownership through a human advisor and restore the account.

What is particularly frustrating is that EA's own support page tells users with compromised accounts to contact support, but the support flow can effectively send the user back to the login page.

I've already tried the official recovery process. I've tried the AI support flow. I'm now stuck in a loop.

EA, if you're monitoring this subreddit: please have an actual EA Advisor contact me or provide a legitimate way to submit an account-recovery case without requiring access to the compromised account.

Has anyone successfully recovered an EA account in 2026 after the hacker changed both the email and 2FA?

Any advice on getting past the AI support loop and reaching a human advisor would be greatly appreciated.

Ea FC banned me for no reason

So It’s been a while (9 years) since I played my last EA Football game, and it was back in 2017 when FIFA 18 was released.
I decided to buy the EAFC 26 since I wanted just to experience again that UT builds, pack openings , Squad Battles etc. and just enjoy the game I played a while ago.
The first hours came with a major problem - my game just starts lagging on 3-5 fps for no reason , and I have to forcefully shut down the game and relaunch it to fix the issue. And again that happened. And again. And again.
I start regretting my purchase of the game, but the nostalgia won over, well , after some years the game really improved graphically, and it was really fascinating and I tried to enjoy the game as most as possible.
Until this morning.
I launch the game finally to open the transfer market and buy some cosmetics for the team. And I see the message that I got « banned » , primarily accusing me of cheating. Almost instantly I got an e-mail telling that this ban is permanent with red marks on them all over.
Like what the f**k EA, do you treat all newcomers and returning players like this? Two days have passed and this is what we get? This is absolutely ridiculous.
To say it clearly - I have nothing Installed that can impact the game , the only thing I use is the Cloudflare One Client that protects my connection because I use semi-public WiFi, that’s all.
I am in rage , money spent for nothing.

EA hacked and wrong steam account Linked

On the 7th of august I was hacked by some Guy named « paipai » and he also linked my EA to HIS OWN steam account that I don’t know the email of, I managed to get my EA acc back and unlinked the steam from my EA, and once I wanted to Link my steam account back to my ea, a message appeared saying that it is still linked to this hacker’s steam account and that I have to wait 365 days to Link my steam, even though no steam account appear in the list of the linked accounts. Ive tried steam and EA support but it didn’t really help.

The image says it’s still linked there, and you can see on my ea that no steam account appears.

EA sold out to a country that opresses women and kills queer people. Who is still gonna support them?

So if you aren't aware EA has been sold to the Saudi-Arabia. A country that still opresses the women living there and has the death sentence for being any type of queer.

I want to bring this to the attention to make you think about further supporting them or not.

EA Forums Ban

Crazy how do you get banned from EA forums. Literally saying "No one" cares about NHL ever being Released on PC. Fr.

Thats not bullying. EA is soft. I dont troll. But I hate trolls. Little bitches. It okay though. No buddy cares about NHL ever being released on PC. And no one cares if you do. Just more cheaters is all. Thinking be real good at a game and your cheating lol.

attempts to find trial opportunity for game, stumbles across mass histeria involving EA Play Pro members getting shafted by this ridiculous policy

discovers low-cost workaround by getting Gamepass with Ea Play capabilities, just concern about cross progression settles in

asks to load extension before launching
