I love this truck but this drives me insane about it.

My commute to work is 8 miles, and takes about 20-25 minutes. 6 miles of highway, 2 miles of city. In that 8 miles, my mi to E will go down anywhere from 20-30 miles every single time. Today’s drive I started with 430 and ended with 403 (that’s -27 miles for the non-math folk), during an 8 mile commute.

My MPGs say they are 19.4, and tell me I am getting above that for most of my drive. Yet if I were truly getting 19.4 MPG for the whole drive then I would be using less than half a gallon of gas in my commute and my miles to empty would go down by 8 and not 27.

I am insanely gas mileage conscious to the point my wife needs to tell me to shut up about my MPGs. I am super light on the gas, drive 60 on the highway, and I leave the live gas mileage bar up on the screen at all times to make sure I am preserving gas and maximizing efficiency.

In the past year I have paid for: new brakes, new tires, wheel hub replacement, and always get my oil changes before the deadline. I also just replaced the air filter 500 miles ago.

Is there something I am missing? I get it city driving burns more fuel but it’s like every 50 feet I move it ticks down another mile.

2019 ford raptor 66k miles and my timing chain just went. Any direction would be appreciated. No warranty of course. Rebuild motor/ replace timing chain or just replace motor completely?

Anyone have an idea? 2016 2.7 162,000 miles.
I'm getting very poor gas mileage ( averaging
10.9-11.9MPG). Also lacking a lot of power. Truck is very sluggish and doesn't want to go. No check engine light or pending codes. I tried new plugs (NGK Ruthenium HX) didn't seem to make a difference at all. I just cleaned my MAF sensors, and then replaced my MAP sensor and nothing. Couple days ago I noticed a weird rattle coming from what I thought to be the turbo wastegate on the driver side. Turns out it's the fuel lines? Never seen anything like it. New fuel pump in the tank last year, and new HPFP 2 years ago. I was also doing some maintenance a little while back and noticed my driver side turbo was covered in oil. There was no shaft play in the turbo and didn’t seem to have oil inside the turbo anywhere. I’m at a loss on what is happening here. Maybe it’s multiple problems here? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

This was a big job but got this f150 back on the road. If anyone needs this type of work send me a pm and I can get you on my schedule. I travel the southeast doing phasers / water pump jobs on these ford motors.

Bought the truck was told the timing was done and then shrapnel from the old timing chain made its way through the engine and cased damage

Just bought my first 2025 F150

Got a 2019 got a few miles on at 112k. Did due diligence including pre sales inspection at Ford dealership (not the one I purchased from different manufacturer) overall out the door was 22k (not counting extended warranty). Cam phaser issue addressed at 75k. 2 years ago. First truck how'd I do?

Sounds like this on cold or warm start. Seems like it’s coming from the driver side valve cover. Pops says he thinks the timing chain. Never done any major work on it. I’ve put 200xxx miles on it myself. Just spark plugs every 45k and some other small stuff. 2014 3.5 248xxx miles

Anyone have this happen to them? The stem was broken when I removed the filter cartridge? Trouble getting filter off now.

Have lately been noticing small drops of coolant under the center back of the engine bay after long drives. Is this the dreaded turbo leak? Or are there any other common leak points? 2013 3.5 ecoboost with about 120k miles. Water pump was replaced around 85k in 2021. Coolant has been very slowly disappearing from the reservoir the last year or so.

How serious is it? Possible to fix myself?

I have no clue how long they have been leaking. I’ve periodically had to add coolant every now and then for the past few years. Just moved across country, added coolant before trip, and now 3000 miles later coolant still in range so doesn’t seem to be leaking too badly.
