Getting back on track after wasting money on useless shir.

Getting back on track after wasting money on useless shir.

I am an employee for nearly 4 years now after graduating in 2022. I work in a BPO company having a decent salary (bilingual nonvoice).

I had around 400k savings, then went on a trip to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and Thailand in a span of 18 months. That cut my savings down to 200k, and I entered into the worst financial decision of my life.

I started gifting Tiktok streamers and fell into a never-ending spiral of swiping and paying but no matter how much I paid, lumobo lang nang lumobo.

My 200k became 100k, and that became 50k and such. I quit in January 2026. At that time, I had 90k in credit card debt and was really struggling but I had made my mind fully about getting back. I literally zeroed out my savings and started from scratch.

I went to Thailand again for a much-needed breather and had to change my dying phone for a new one.

It is August 2026, and I am projected to reach 200k again by the end of the year. Thank God for enlightening me and for giving me the most expensive lesson of my life so far. I only have 4k left on my cc debt after having 50k-100k debt last year.

Any tips or sidelines I can do to augment my saving a little bit?

Sharing GInvest 1k per month progress from 2021

Hi, just sharing my GInvest journey since 2021.

Started with 2,500 or 2,000 in each of my funds. Pag may 13th month or bonus, naglalagay ng tig 1k each or more. Tapo biglang 100k plus na in total with 18k in capital gains (including yung dividends sa ALFM Global multi asset).

How it started:

How it is going:

Puro negative yan nagsimula tapos ngayon mag 20k na ang gains.

Di ko binubuhos ang investments ko rito kasi di ako bilib sa security ng GCash. Pero ingat din naman ako sa paggamit.

Whats best move? Im close hitting my first 300k 🙈

This is my updated portfolio, what would be the best next move? Is my EF enough? Do i need to time deposit my funds(100k)? Or do i need to try gotrading? I kinda hesitant to do mp2 because of liquidity restrictions.

Makakaalis din tayo sa negative days 🥹

I’m a breadwinner and working as a Virtual Assistant. Expected matatapos ang lahat ng utang by December 2027 🙏 As in sabay sabay lahat matatapos.

Honestly can't believe I'm typing this pero FINALLY debt-free na ako! 🥹

I was drowning in unpaid bills and debt while working my daily routine. I was desparate for a side hustle to earn extra allowance/income, so I decided to give Tiktok and Shopee affiliate marketing a shot.

At first, aaminin ko pure grind at nakaka frustrate. I spent endless hours editing videos and trying to DM brands one by one for deals, only get 200 views. What actually changed the game for me was when I stopped overcomplicating things.

Work smart on brand deals: Instead of manual cold outreach na nakaka-burnout, I started using affiliate platforms like ShopSlayer and Seller Center to directly join active campaigns.

Focusing on hooks over edits: Simple live photos and raw product demos with 3-second hooks actually converted way better than over-edited clips.

Slowly but surely, the commissions started building up until every single extra peso went straight into paying off my balances.

Build good content first, stick to your niche, and don't rush the selling part. High effort and right strategy pay off.

Unti-unti rin lalabas ang results! ✨️🌟

Earned 100k after a year. What to do next?

Finally reached my 100k net worth goal (25F) tips on how to maintain?

Finally reached this milestone after more than a year of working at minimum wage. It really took a lot of discipline and patience and although i'm well aware na mababawasan pa rin ito at some point, i'm still quite proud of myself 💕

Posting here to ask for advice on how to maintain the money that I have and/or help my money grow? Where should I store my money and how/where to invest?

Where to save the funds that I'm earning?

Hi everyone! I’m doing forex trading in the morning and working at night for a US company, allowing me to earn 6 digits monthly. I’m curious where I should allocate my earnings to make them grow, or saan magandang magsave? I’m also planning to save for a car and to buy properties near metro. Any advice on managing and growing my money more ?

six digits milestone reached. 36M

May ganito pala na sub.

I started with PSE then moved to IBKR gradually since Aug 2022. Finally, settled with VWRA.

Consistency is really the key.

I’m 27 and currently working as a VA.

After a year of working, nakapag-save ako ng ganitong amount, and right now, feeling ko this is the best time for me to start investing. The problem is, hindi talaga ako financially literate, so honestly, I don’t know where to start.

Could you guys please guide me on what I should prioritize first, what I should invest in, how much of my monthly salary should I save or spend, and ano pa yung ibang things na kailangan kong malaman?

I’d really appreciate advice from people who have been in a similar situation. Hindi naman ako naghahanap ng get-rich-quick scheme. I just want to learn how to manage my money properly, build my finances, and eventually make my savings work for me.

My First 25k as an Unemployed 19-Year-Old Student

I do not have a job. I do not come from a wealthy family. Kaya it is hard for me to save money, considering na I barely have any to begin with. Kaya I am very proud of my first 25k. Whenever I see those posts na may 100k+ savings sila at my age, I feel envious. Pero narerealize ko rin na they have a better starting point to begin with.

I had an SPayLater addiction. Umabot ng 12K ang bill ko for 3 months. I deleted Shopee na to save money. I also lost 4k sa online gambling 🙂. Lesson learned na po ako haha. I stopped doing those, and from June to August, savings ko went from 6k to 25k. I hope mapatuloy ko ito ❤️

[32M] Malayo na, pero malayo pa! Road to 100K (Euros)

I was very irresponsible when I was in my 20's. YOLO pa nga, na every pay day, break even. Puro swipe ng credit card.

Now I am in my 30's, I try to be more responsible but also enjoy life! I get to travel every month and I also get to save. My goal by the end of the year is to achieve 90K.

Tip for those who are in their 20's, be consistent in investing! Kahit tig-1K pa yan, okay lang yan, basta every month mong tyagain. It will grow eventually.

5 Years Later, I’m Finally Making Progress

It took years of hard work and patience, but I’m finally starting to see the progress I’ve been hoping for. 🥹🙏

Still a long way to go, but this feels like a huge step forward.

Konti nalang 200k na after 20 years of working and being a breadwinner.

26M, Finally reached my first 100k!

From having 0 savings this time 2 years ago to reaching my first 100k this month! I do believe that staying disciplined and mindful of how I spend my money really was the key.

Heads up, I didn’t include Pagibig and Stocks to my net worth. I also didn’t include the 12k credit card debt that I’m about to pay this month. But still, this is a huge milestone for someone like me who didn’t come from a rich family and would not ask for stuff from my mom when I was a kid as I was shy and didn’t want my mom to spend money on non-essential stuff.

I am a registered healthcare professional but I didn’t work as one as I only treat it as my fallback due to low salary and high workload. I also don’t have plans yet on working abroad.

For context, I have 2 jobs right now, I work in an LGU and I have a sideline of being a product photographer and videographer of a certain restaurant. Work is super chill, I only work for about 10 hours per week and I earn around 33k per month (Including LGU benefits). Monthly expenses include transportation (gas), internet, dog food, electricity, and monthly personal allowance. I still live with my mom since it’s just the two of us. My mom works as a Regional Head for a bank right now so I can say she played a huge part of this achievement as she handles most of the expenses in the household without pressuring me to contribute.

My financial roadmap includes building my stocks account in a few months after finalizing my emergency funds and continue building my savings accounts. I’m also planning to open a separate MP2 savings account.

I’m also starting a construction business which I’m not shelling out any capital yet until I gather more connections and opportunities.

Lastly, with my current setup and financial planning, I’m projecting to reach 250k by December this year (Major contributor is my work in the LGU).

Even with this milestone, I’m still a long way from achieving what I want. Any advice would be appreciated and I look forward to hearing your stories as well! Feel free to ask any questions and I’d be glad to answer them.

Walang naipon sa 683k na revenue haha

After a year of doing youtube shorts. Cheers 🥂
